Story 1 (MRSM student in Public U)
Im from SMK, i went to public university, 2 of my coursemate are from one of the mrsm bitara, they couldnt get the pass to get the scholarship to study overseas (anyway studying overseas is too overrated). In university, they can do shit, because they openly admit in mrsm they got so many tongkat, they cant even finish The entire course ontime, have to retake few subjectand paper due to very low CGPA. In the end, normal smk guy like me achieved more than what average mrsm ppl does. Talking bout final year project shit? Mine won NRIC special award by motorola (national level only la)

Story 2 (so called creme of MRSM students whom studied overseas)
I used to work with one big organisation. Pro to employ so called this MRSM WITH overseas educated student coz they are bond to it i guess. Initially i tot, whoooaaa study overseas UK lae, aussie la, USA la. Must have damn good personality and high self esteem due to exposure to other culture. Damn shit most of them cant do nothing. Cant even give proper even worst convincing on presentation, bad on writing business proposal, heck very bad technical skills. No doubt, these ppl might be having higher memorizing power sompare to me, but only theory shit. By the book person and no outside the box thinking. Hard truth, eventho they got the chance to study overseas but 90% of the time they only stick to their same group. Especially malay with malay. They wont mix with others that much. While in Malaysia, me being Malay, i have better exposure mixing with other races, mainly the other major races. Ponteng kelas together, go play footbal (backthen futsal was still very new),main kuda and shit like that.

Story 3 (the average Joe from SMK)
I quit the said organization as i cant change their mentallity, even worst, the bosses there most of them coming from almost the same tongkat group, hence the favorism. I quit as a manager there and now working with a Sdn Bhd company. Totally different way of leadership. Even better the trust level from the CEO. Too add some juice on story 3, i dont even need the tongkat to go study overseas to get the exposure. Im positive, im doing good running a business at international level without the so called exposire

I concur your statement. But what lacking in MRSM system is the real exposure to real world instead. They focus too damn much on syllabus, exam ...basically theoritical fact and figures of the books by our education system.

What they are lacking off is far more important in real world. Working environment and corporate world. Majority of these ppl whom being absorb to GLC as think tank of malaysian in the end, ended up only as doers but not leaders. Only few managed to do that. But they are pretty darn good of only doing vendor management.. The real leaders are the enterprise sectors , at least in my industry, and SME's is doing a big leap through lately...

2 that cant make it whom are my coursemate. Few other similar stories from other faculty within the same university, and bunch of it during my first work in that GLC.

Am i generalizing? Yes i am, with bunch of such student be it the one that really drop after SPM and those whom went to study overseas. 70% of the toal ex mrsm i met perhaps. And if my guess right a total about 15-20 whom claimed they are from mrsm yet having the same similar situation as per my story 1 and story 2.

So MY consensus 70% from whom ive met is A LOT. Capish ??
