chances are it could be very different. speaking of transmission, Mitsubishi's global car lancer, have it's transmissions entirely outsourced. well even the engine is a joint between hyundai/Chrysler, touted the GEMA/world engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_4B1_engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_La...E2.80.93present the Manual is by Aisin Ai F5MBB, and Aisin is under Toyota group: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisin_Seiki_Co.#Aisin_AI JF011E / F1CJAAuto/CVT is by JATCO which is under Nissan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jatco http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jatco...e_transmissions the Evolution's TC-SST on the other hand went german: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Clutch_SST and yes Getrag nzh0920 correct me if i'm wrong hmm is the evo x 5speed manual same as ours too? or using different box that can take up more torque? can't seem to find info on that particular transmission |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Feb 23 2014, 09:08 PM) go groupon or whatever deal coupon on the internet... then see for yourself for the best deal for tinting. the ecotint on saga not the same as inspira's? cuz i find the TSER for ecotint being decent, and driving through the hot sun isn't too bad.i'm not sure if the car being black would really absorb more heat while parked under hot sun for long duration; but if there's anything bad with the stock tint, it's that it's still damn hot if you do happen to park your car under the hot sun. |

https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JasonLimQuazac...sts/Xg2st9qWpZi the one V12Kompressor (iinm?) drew barely got any traces left after wash. no worries though, i just re-glazed the bonnet to re-even the wax, and then waxed it again + sonax BSD just a precaution if other members' cars aren't wax/coated. then again it's no biggie if they don't bother about detailing anyways lol. |

QUOTE(dares @ Feb 24 2014, 02:51 AM) The brand of tint on the Saga is called Safetint. The specs are available on the first page of this thread. aiyo different tint pulak...Ecotint only available on Inspira, Preve and Suprima S. then again when you think about the wiring cost cutting, no surprises here. =edit= wow 55% IRR is on the low side when most reputable tints are well over 80-90%+ 3M boasts it's 99.9% or some absurd figure, and lol smart tag This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Feb 24 2014, 04:54 AM |

QUOTE(dares @ Feb 24 2014, 04:02 PM) lol that night not long after you left, was testing firestorm.did one of the besraya corners at 150-160km/h, tire grip completely lost as the cornering g's was too high and the car's slamming to the divider. yeap asc kicked in and somehow the braking allowed it to correct the car angle and throttle cut while maintaining specific wheel braking allowed the car to slow down and move in the correct direction. magic as i'm still posting on this forum |

QUOTE(ruby1288 @ Feb 24 2014, 05:10 PM) u need the torque figure actually the correct procedure (for most cars) are specific sealant points and not the entire line.BTW, u need the glue. need apply some on the gasket. I saw bawah pokok do, he apply along the gasket sealing line. When my car in P1, I saw that fella only apply at 1 single spot. The same spot as factory stock, can see white residue on cover. Not sure whether this is to save cost / not necessary to apply the whole sealing line. in fact, according to the service manual, my 4g15 does not require any sealant at all. only the DOHC version requires it. |

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Feb 24 2014, 05:59 PM) just use a soft cleaner will do. those dash board shine if pro long your the dash colour become dark like very dirty, oily.. if beige become yellowish...we also don't know what chemical they put in those dash shine. After all, you just want to keep your dash clean mah...also don't you find those dash shine after apply make the windscreen reflection of the dash more obvious and your view of the road quite hazy one....that's why I don't use them and I prefer my dash to be mat colour instead of reflect plastic. you will notice without the dash reflection on your windscreen, your view of the road is more clear one....that's why all race cars dash is made of matt material or from alcantara... you can opt to use those shine for certain areas that won't be reflecting off the windscreen. The sealant act as a 2ndary protection from oil leak. You can do with specific points also... Also it depends on what dash board shine you're using - those from reputable brand won't have detrimental effects however yes, they tend to trap dirt due to the oily film (silicone or water based, try to get water based as silicone based WILL have adverse effects as you mentioned) that is used for the gloss effect. The dirt trapping CAN be an advantage - all you need to do is have soft cleaner and clean off the film and voila, super clean interiors (or engine interior, my inspira has meguiar's hyper dressing applied, so it is a very oily as some like V12Kompressor experienced) as the dirt stuck on the film and not the dashboard itself. think of it as a layer of wax if you alternate dressings/cleaners, you can probably use the same can of product for the entire car lifetime... (or the expiry date of the product? if it expires rofl! i think there could be potential chemical degradation few years down the road...) for the gasket, what you said. that and the service manual isn't always correct/updated. there could be potential leak points beyond what the service manual specifies, or based on experience some mechanics already know specific notorious leak points and can apply accordingly. |
