the ecotint on saga not the same as inspira's? cuz i find the TSER for ecotint being decent, and driving through the hot sun isn't too bad.

i'm not sure if the car being black would really absorb more heat while parked under hot sun for long duration; but if there's anything bad with the stock tint, it's that it's still damn hot if you do happen to park your car under the hot sun.

the one V12Kompressor (iinm?) drew barely got any traces left after wash.

no worries though, i just re-glazed the bonnet to re-even the wax, and then waxed it again + sonax BSD thumbup.gif

just a precaution if other members' cars aren't wax/coated.
then again it's no biggie if they don't bother about detailing anyways lol.

lol that night not long after you left, was testing firestorm.

did one of the besraya corners at 150-160km/h, tire grip completely lost as the cornering g's was too high and the car's slamming to the divider.
yeap asc kicked in and somehow the braking allowed it to correct the car angle and throttle cut while maintaining specific wheel braking allowed the car to slow down and move in the correct direction.

I saw bawah pokok do, he apply along the gasket sealing line.
When my car in P1, I saw that fella only apply at 1 single spot. The same spot as factory stock, can see white residue on cover.
Not sure whether this is to save cost / not necessary to apply the whole sealing line.

actually the correct procedure (for most cars) are specific sealant points and not the entire line.

in fact, according to the service manual, my 4g15 does not require any sealant at all. only the DOHC version requires it.

you can opt to use those shine for certain areas that won't be reflecting off the windscreen.

Also it depends on what dash board shine you're using - those from reputable brand won't have detrimental effects however yes, they tend to trap dirt due to the oily film (silicone or water based, try to get water based as silicone based WILL have adverse effects as you mentioned) that is used for the gloss effect.

The dirt trapping CAN be an advantage - all you need to do is have soft cleaner and clean off the film and voila, super clean interiors (or engine interior, my inspira has meguiar's hyper dressing applied, so it is a very oily as some like V12Kompressor experienced) as the dirt stuck on the film and not the dashboard itself. think of it as a layer of wax wink.gif

if you alternate dressings/cleaners, you can probably use the same can of product for the entire car lifetime... (or the expiry date of the product? if it expires rofl! i think there could be potential chemical degradation few years down the road...)

for the gasket, what you said. that and the service manual isn't always correct/updated.
there could be potential leak points beyond what the service manual specifies, or based on experience some mechanics already know specific notorious leak points and can apply accordingly.
