Before viewing the image let me inform u that it's STRICTLY JUST FOR FUN AND TESTING REASON

The speed that you see are actually from a LOCAL NETWORK

Basically i was playing around with BitComet as i got a desktop and a laptop which both has the same torrent.
Desktop i have a 17% completed on desktop and laptop i had a 27% completed and there is only a single file in the torrent download

What i'm doing here is that i don't want to restart my download and to choose either one to start so i set my laptop to seed the 27% completed torrent and my desktop run as normal where both laptop and desktop are under the same network. The connection was under wireless so i waited for 20 second and hoping it will work and here was the result.

Seriously i know its not my actual download speed but its cool to see the number this big when downloading and maybe one day i might try doing this under wired network tongue.gif

AS AGAIN THIS IS STRICTLY JUST FOR FUN as i wanted to share what i was doing yesterday

i basically want to merge the same download file from 2 different source
as in the morning i was downloading the file in my desktop but has slow speed
then in the evening i was using my laptop to download the same torrent but with a much faster download rate

since there is only one file in the torrent so i basically have to merge it as the hash download might be different places.
Once i finish the download on my desktop and upload on my laptop, the overall is about 45% completed which better than 17% and 27% separate and have to sacrifice either one of the download file...

@storm
dang!!does it work?make ur downloads complete faster..that means two different computers downloading on a single file, am i right?
*
I think i better make things clear....

First in the morning i was downloading torrent X with 0% on my desktop
Then i left out for class with my laptop while leaving the download continue
In the evening after class around Subang Area i was using TM Hotspot to online using my laptop and download the same torrent X again with 0% startup

So basically i'm downloading the same file again but in two different place. Once i reach home i on both my Bitcomet and set the torrent X in my laptop to upload even its not completed

Since both torrent are the same but the downloaded area are different and they are in the same network so the uploading speed are local which go through the router and that is how i got that download speed whistling.gif

Here is another testing and so-called fun thing i did with BitComet and this is seriously cool to see this crazy speed~ laugh.gif

Let me repeat again that this is STRICTLY NOT A REAL DOWNLOAD SPEED
as the transfering was done with a local connection under a wired connection

i advice you not to do this again
becoz the download speed is too fast
and it maybe will affect to your hdd
make your hdd got fragment
or got logical/physical dmg...
very true man but before i started i actually increase my cache size so the hit ratio won't be that bad but i tested it for a while so nothing harmful was done cool.gif

i dont know what jz happen..i was running bitcomet and bitlord downloading the same series but different episodes..both i limited the upload to 30kBps but then i made my bitlord to No Limit..then suddenly this happens well for jz temporary and i dont know why and how unsure.gif

you are actually doing a local transfer within the same network
since its the same series and u are actually connected to the same tracker so the transfer rate is as fast as your LAN/WLAN

anyone BT using Jaring Wireless Broadband on Bitcomet?

Really wish that Bitcomet truly make some improvement instead of more problem over their latest version. I assume they are really running out of numbers as they are very near to v1.0 sweat.gif

last time at least 20,000+k

EDIT: what make me feel surprise is
it even reach 3,000+k only!!!

Congratulation!!!
BitComet also a lightweigh application now!!! rclxm9.gif

Well its nice to finally see developers reduce the resources usage but does this latest version can be as stable as v0.70 and the overall download speed is as good as v0.70? whistling.gif

really need your pic
becoz it will proof to us that where you connected most and how is the "jaring" backup line

but for me, i think Jaring is always better to p2p than the screamyx...

I'm still having problem uploading my image at Photobucket so hopefully that problem can be fix soon then can show proof of what i'm saying...

QUOTE(wengjoe @ Jan 2 2007, 05:58 PM)
NO.

Jaring throttle p2p to the maximum

wait till the line is back, then we'll see a better speed in BitComet

Well i don't know where u heard it from but i been using Jaring Wireless Broadband for very long time and i'm a heavy BT user which PC never off and average a day i can download about 1.65GB of data. The best i manage to reach is 3.5GB in 24 hours time(Using Bandwidth Monitor Pro) whistling.gif

QUOTE(scorps @ Jan 6 2007, 03:21 AM)
can i resume my download files??
ok let i explain..
i need to format my hdd,
so i kept the unfinished download torrent in another partition,
user posted image
and after i finish windows setup and all settings ..
so i want to continue download the unfinished files??
how can i resume that file??
please tell me ye.. biggrin.gif
*
Yes you can resume your downloaded files. What you need is to have your torrent file or if you don't then u can right click on the file u r downloading at BitComet and select 'Save Torrent As..' if not u basically have to find back the original source.
After you done with your formatting and place your incomplete download file to the place of your liking, you open your torrent file and the first thing u need to do when the window pop-up is the select 'Resume' on the 'Task:' dropdown menu.
Then browse for the incomplete download file then select OK.

Usually the program will hash check for you as it will check the % complete of your file. If it didnt then stop the torrent and right click on the torrent and select 'Manual Hask Check' then you are done~

By the way i'm using version 0.70 but i don't think there is much difference on the interface design
Hope this helps wink.gif
