I've tried BC 0.66 and its not really stable sweat.gif ...put it there, after 10 mins then crashed...even I've move the downloads inside BC folder under Torrents or create another new folder Download
*
I don't think the crash/unstable issue is related with your download folder. It's the program itself that is unstable. I think that Xunlei is doing better than BC 0.66 SE. At least it's super stable at a high speed.. else I would just stick with latest BC.

I mean, resume my torrents from BC to Xunlei ._.
*
Oh sorry. Thought you mean resume task in Xunlei. sweat.gif
Yeah.. I hate that and it's weird tho. You can transfer unfinished download from Xunlei to BitComet (Edit the extension) but you can't transfer from BitComet to Xunlei.. dry.gif

Having problem connecting to demonoid. Who can give me an invite?

You can wait for the registration to re-open. The registration is re-opened at least once per month. Just check the site regularly.. or if you're lucky enough to have someone to invite you.

i'm using bitcomet as well and it seems like these few days my download speed is getting slower than before although my connection is good enough to boost up the torrent speed but then now when i was downloading 10 torrents file at once and it shows max speed of 20kb/s. doh.gif
is it caused by the p2p throttle that has been done by tmnut?
*
Download too many torrents together might slow down the speed as well. smile.gif

Never experience it before. Just format recently and upgraded from 0.89 to 0.91,

QUOTE(diablo69 @ Aug 22 2007, 11:57 AM)
thats odd... i've tried 0.91 on vista n xp, havent meet with any problem since... manage to reach pass 100kbps(yesterday reached all time high of 160kbps) for 1 file at times...
*
Same here, I couldn't even get that speed in BitComet 0.89 but I manage to get 160~180KB/s .. for 5minutes..=/

WHY I get BLOCKED (red color ) when I BT ?
*
Did you allow BitComet's internet access in firewall? Did you port foward your router(if you are using one)?

1) Re-download the same torrent that you use to download the task
2) Use BitComet and open the torrent, save it on the same folder as you did last time. (Example: You saved in E:\Downloads last time, so put the save directory to E:\Downloads for that file as well)
3) It will pop out "The file blablalba, do you want to hash check the file and continue to download?" something like this, cant remember)
4) press yes and continue download.

By the way you should as this in BitComet official Thread

Hi..

how can i solve the Yellow Light problem in BitComet?
thanks
*
Check your firewall, allow BitComet if you haven't do so yet.
Check your router(if you're using one) and do a port forward if you haven't do so yet.

Try www.portforward.com. I haven't done any port forward so far, so I not sure how hard/complicated it is. No router = no experiment sad.gif

btw, wanted to know what's those ranks for "/?

And why sometime the p2sp.x.x.x will appear...while sometime not X_X?
*
Better speed maybe? Not sure for BitComet.
But in Xunlei, higher rank = more available source for you. In other words, they limit you when you're low rank (about 40 I think, for HTTP source only) and +1 every rank you go up. (this is for xunlei..)

my bitcomet download seem to be limited to below 70kbps, with 60kbps the average. Anyone got any suggestion to improve it? using d-link dsl 520T modem with netgear mr814v2 wireless router.

[attachmentid=293452]

also my new half open limit = 200
*
Looks like a seeder problem to me, look at your first file. 0seeders/11connected peers out of total of [0seeders/238peers]

IMO, BitComet 0.66 is very unstable. Don't really like to use it, and weirdly that for me, BitComet 0.9x and Xunlei is better than BitComet 0.66 SE..

RM66, but i got 2mb line (misscap?) so should get greater than average 60kbps
what TCP port patch?
*
You sure 'bout that? Check your speed at SpeedTest.net
I think the 2MB is your modem DSLAM(?)[i forgot what it called] speed, not your internet speed.

the aztech modem i used last time show 2048 download and 512 upload. And the speedtest

user posted image

That's normal 512kbps(kilobits), about 60+ KB/s.
So you do have about your full speed.
The 2048 download and 512 upload is DSLAM speed, not your internet speed. smile.gif

what is DSLAM speed? plus i was getting likr 80-90kbps like 2 years ago on the same line and my aztech modem back then was showing 1028 upload 384 download, so how was that possible  rclxub.gif
*
I'm not very sure about that, but..
IIANM, the model supports up to that speed (2048kilobits/s download and 512kilobits/s upload), but we don't have that speed yet because they[TMNutz] limited in our line.

For more info on DSLAM you can refer to wikipedia

The reason that you get extra speed might because that, 2 years ago.. not much screamyx subscribers and therefore extra bandwidth at your area. And now due to screamy'x ghey advertisement more and more subscribers and therefore, less bandwidth..

Like now, I'm on 1MB line but I manage to get 1.4MB speed..

Anyone can explain? I've disabled emule plugin

Seeders problem. Look closely and you will see 0/0 (connected seed/peers) and [1/28] (total seeders/peers)

Added on September 12, 2007, 6:19 pmAnd most probably you were downloading from peers for the first few minutes.
Correct me if I'm wrong. smile.gif

Oh, I get what you mean now. I thought you meant the speed, now only I realize. So sorry about that..
Not sure.. maybe some weird bug? Sometime my BitComet also show DL: X KB/s even I didn't even start any BT download.. sweat.gif
