Yeap. Agree. A follow up after an interview is recommended. A straight forward e-mail would do. Don't twist and turn (selok belok) in your e-mail to make them confusing. If you don't have their e-mail, call them (the person who interviewed you or the HR department). You mean they called you 5 months after the interview with them? IF so, that's really long!! 
Is either the job that they offer is pretty hard (making current employee leave) or they are choosy.
