Defending in FIFA 14 is a bit tricky, especially header. FIFA 14 really got OP header, midget player can tower over high defender like messi can win header against Vidic or Kompany some of you talk abt header when you are on defense.

what you can do is manual switch to defender by flicking right analog stick towards the defender and try to get into the ball drop position quickly. Pressing L2 to muscle out any attacker out of position also can be done as well.
Some says pressing square button is much more effective than circle button to heading the ball clear, but for me, either button is fine
