I'm getting this phone soon. Was thinking of getting Note 3 but I'm pretty sure I won't be using all of its feature and whatnot, not worth it for the extra RM300. I have to ask, do we still need to charge 8 hours prior to 1st time charging?

I mean on your 1st time charge after you get low battery, did you charge up to when it's fully charge only? So no more crap on 8 hours first charge thing?

G2 was my first choice, then I don't know why did I get poisoned by Nexus 5 Yes G2 last longer, way longer than Nexus 5, and with light usage can last 2-3 days? I don't like both TouchWiz and LG UI but that can be fixed with Launcher, custom rom etc. And yeah G2 is cheaper than Nexus 5, so I might get G2. Thanks

I've heard of Xposed, I like how you can disable the brightness and volume slider, creates more space for notifications. I have to root first right? And can you edit the notification led? Let say I want white led for sms notification, blue for low battery/charging and etc?

Yeah, Nexus 5 is a great device without a doubt, it's just that G2 is better in terms of battery life and cheaper in Malaysia. I've heard a lot from my friend that his friend's Nexus 5 last only 8 hours during whole class time (morning to afternoon), I'm pretty sure he didn't use it heavily either so that's what I'm worried about.

I think it's a bug they have on Nexus 5. Many reported that before sleep - 100%, then wake up in the morning 70% lol

Some say they can last more than 1 day, some say they can't, so confusing
But I haven't found any G2 owner complaining about poor battery life

I don't know when G3/G Pro 2 is coming out and no, I'm not going to wait for the other new phones coming out, just the S5. I might as well wait until Doomsday if I'm waiting for other new phones because it won't just end. Just asking is it worth it to wait for S5 since it's coming out in few days later.

EDIT: I mean is it worth it to wait until S5 comes out so G2 price would drop.
