Hi all sifus,

I am planning to buy a mkb for majority gaming and some typing, i also
hope that it can last long and durable and full size.

After did some research about mkb, I found cherry MX brown is more
prefer for both of the required that i need.

Consider list:
1. RK-9000BR (Mx Brown)
2. DK2108 Ducky Zero (Mx Brown)

Or any other alternatives can suggest to me ?  biggrin.gif
*
other alternatives is to try the different switches with your hands first before deciding biggrin.gif

Hi, thanks for the advice.
Do some survey and reading..came with Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth 2013. Any comment on this keyboard?
Budget depending on the function of the keyboard. If the keyboard functioning as it should especially for gaming....willing to spend on it....
Thanks

what type of feature are you looking at a mechanical keyboard for it to be a "gaming" keyboard?

tell us the maximum price you would pay for a keyboard.
backlit? yes or no
full size or without numpad?

as for the type of switches, none of us can help because it depends on individual. some like linear, some like some tactile, some like tactile and click feedback.
you need to try this out with your own fingers to know.
but usually for typing and gaming combo ppl would recommend MX Brown.

I need all of that...which one is better...no standard keyboard..i already mention that I need lcd background, all necessary function for gaming...and one more thing..i did not like ducky brand....tq
*
then aesthetics and gimmicks is your main concern along with popular branding names icon_rolleyes.gif

most of us don't submit to brands that make sub par quality keyboards, which will be hard for us to recommend a keyboard suitable to your needs.
lcd background? u mean led backlit?

probably u should wait for the new corsair with RGB led switch, can change the led to any colour u want at any time flex.gif
media key, macro key, led, popular branding, semua ada for gaming, except quality build sadly, and non-standard layout which will degrade the looks.

Gaming Keyboard thread is more suitable for you then if our recommendation doesn't fit you laugh.gif

Reverse mount mean what?
Is the spacebar is different type or, we can add something to any spacebar to make it like that? or it's the switch that different?
*
u just remove your spacebar, turn around so that previously the part that is facing you is now facing away, and mount it...tada~ reverse mount spacebar~ laugh.gif

they takut taobao because:-
1) no experience, lazy to find out or try
2) don't trust china stuff
tapi, padahal, most of what you bought locally are from china but at even higher price doh.gif

I don't even have a credit card or paypal to do any online transactions. The only online transactions I did was bank transfers for LYN purchases. I don't mind going taobao buy even taobao doesnt have the corsair keycaps.

That's why I'm asking if you guys have any that I can use on a K95.
No the red FPS keycaps are seperate. My board only comes with stock black ones.
*
here, since i'm in the mood.
let me spoonfeed those who don't know how to buy from taobao.

Find the stuff you want from taobao.
If you need help to find the stuff you want but don't know the keyword, ask here.
Click here to find the taobao agents that gives you the best rate/service. -> Taobao Agents
Copy the part of the link that look like this.
CODE
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=36369414473

but usually the links are pretty long, that looks like this
CODE
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.w4018-3148293447.5.e5n4Ox&scm=1007.168.0.0&id=36651728701&pvid=a27df44f-1cb2-4a67-8c9c-4da429c0ba1c&jlogid=p041408371114d

but what you are interested is only the part highlighted in red
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1.w4018-3148293447.5.e5n4Ox&scm=1007.168.0.0&id=36651728701&pvid=a27df44f-1cb2-4a67-8c9c-4da429c0ba1c&jlogid=p041408371114d
Delete the rest of the link to make it look like the first link on top.

Copy the link and post on your chosen agent's thread or PM them, depending on the agent's preference which usually is stated on the first post.
Ask them to quote you the price of what you want. Sometimes the item you want have different type/colour. In which case you need to tell the agent what you want by simply copy and paste your preferred choice.

"Can someone help me? I don't know how to read Chinese" excuse.
Use Google Chrome pls. I am a banana, don't know how to read Chinese, but I've made over RM1k purchases from Taobao already through an agent.
The wonders of Google Chrome.

When you ask quotation from the agent, show the agent the link to your item, state what you want, what colour/type if any, the quantity and where your location is, eg, Selangor, Penang, Melaka, etc.
Ask several agent at once, so you can compare the price and an idea as to how long each agent can respond to you.

When the agent respond to you, usually they will tell you the price with the calculation and estimated shipping charge or they will tell you the link is broken or something.
If you are satisfied with any agent, ask them for the payment detail. You don't need any credit card or paypal or debit card, you can just bank in/transfer money to their bank account and show them the receipt/screenshot of the transaction and also tell them your shipping detail, full name, address, phone number.
Then the agent will show you a tracking page for you to see if the item(s) you purchased are in their warehouse already or not. When it's there, the agent will inform you, along with the total amount you have to pay for the shipping charge (based on weight/volumetric weight)
Once you have paid the 2nd payment, the agent will proceed to forward the parcel to you and will give you a tracking number along with the shipper's tracking site to track your parcel's whereabout.
You wait for it.
If after 2 weeks still nothing, just politely ask the agent to check on the status or check with the local shipping company if it has reached Malaysia.

Phew...

Hmmm. I just though most Cherry MX Red keycaps can be used between different boards. That why I asked because if you have any spare Cherry Keycaps to sell I could use it. Guess I'm wrong there.

Alright, Taobao it is then.
*
the cherry MX keycaps are all the same regardless of the switch type. as long as it's mx switch keycaps, u can use on any mx keyboard.
even if we have, we sell them in sets and not just the few keys.

*
now tengah malas ni...haha!
tips for beginner, learn the right running form.
next, invest in a good running shoe.
get a running app on your phone or even better, a gps tracker watch.
start slow, at a pace where u can still talk to ppl.

Oh okay. What sets are you selling? I'm looking for WASD, 1-6, E key, Shift and CTRL keys. If you have a package I don't mind either. Just that I'm liking Cosair's contoured red keycaps.

Edit: I know space bar I need to get original corsair because it's apparently non standard size.

just doing things on pcb? led, switch swapping and stuff.. saw taobao 14 in 1 set around 30bucks... well I dont think I'll invest in this cause It'll be utilize once/twice only hahaa
*
ok, i bought a seemingly cheap 40W soldering iron and it doesn't melt the industrial solder.
end up i bought a solder station and it serves it's purpose very well, while that solder iron serves as a junk.
there's some cheap solder station in taobao, 936 something. should be around RM100 if i'm not mistaken, or cheaper.

consider this, you get a cheaper solder iron but it takes longer to melt stuff and if you don't control the temp, it gets overheat and damage your pcb or led.
