Yea right, no1 can be as cool as ur first love, we all get it...tell that to your future husband if you're not a d***, please laugh.gif

It's somewhat a public record, the amount of men I dated. There's a running poll in my office with heavy bets on I won't be in a relationship until after 2015

I'm actually quite forth coming when it comes to these

Before a relationship formally begins I always inform about the number of men I have had sex with, my favorite position in bed, and I don't care for foreplay

Suka hati dia lah what kind of requirements she wants to set.

If you guys just want her to lower her requirements enough to date you, I'd say it is better if you guys started reading more instead. laugh.gif

Otherwise if it just mere butthurt, why bother?

Because this is Kopitiam and most of us have anal fissures

Sadly I don't

No angelic or devilish pretty face

No curvy body

I got into relationship by relentless pesking after I identify a target

But why are we so judgmental of people we don't know? Could be stemming from our own inferiority complex.

Are you enjoying the attention so far? whistling.gif
*
Immensely

First time a thread of mine went more than 2 pages

Hmm... no pretty face + no body + throws herself at men.

Pretty sure you're lying about something. Either about your looks, or about the quality of men you date. tongue.gif
*
It is true

The idea is to convince him my book reading is sexier than how I look like

Once the idea get across it's mostly managing expectations

personally, i dont think meeting a guy who reads two books a week would be difficult - it kinda depends on what circles you hop about in.

the rich kids tend to keep themselves up to date with the latest novels, those in the professions follow the publications of their interests, etc.

depends on the job too. if youre an analyst, you're going to be reading more than two publications a day, not a week.
*
It's mostly an indication of varieties in activities one keep up with

If he reads 70 publications a week, he won't be interested in dating

If he read 7 paragraphs a week, he won't be interested in book hunting with me

Yeah, if she just goes on yapping about reading books... I can imagine how it will bore me to death.

I'm sure she hears this line a lot - "Can we just f***?" laugh.gif
*
5 men so far, longest duration is sixteen months, shortest should be just short of 3 months

All the time, they be like "man I'm hungry let's eat and f***" whenever I want to watch the sun sets

QUOTE(empyreal @ Jan 15 2014, 09:21 AM)
you're assuming that peopl take a long time to finish a book. let's say a fella reads 3 books (that he takes just 1 day to finish them all) and spends the other 6 days to do other activities such as hiking, running, socialising etc. would he be out of your parameters?

just saying that setting a kinda arbitrary rule (based on - as your story goes - only one positive observation) may not be wise
*
As you said, it is arbitrary

I arbitrarily approved eligibility of Emino some time last night

If something different comes along, say, a savant in video consumption that adheres to my idea of a thinking man, I don't mind arbitrarily changing the guidelines

But books should take precedence simply because of my life and job. What is the point if he can't accept the fact that I will inevitably spend more time curating than smooching with him?

QUOTE(skywardsword @ Jan 15 2014, 09:22 AM)
Books are great learning tools. Text that are organised and conceptualized to teach, to impart greater knowledge, are easy and at the same time hard to come by. However with the amount of distractions in current society, it is harder and harder to come by habitual readers that actually remembers what they read months ago, however there are some in /k.

From what I understood, you are interested in people who seek out knowledge. Does not stick to you like moth to butter. Gives you freedom to explore. <sounds a bit like Vivi>
Instead of abstinence and post marital sex, you would not deter yourself from knowledge of intimacy.

Thanks. Your post makes me want to examine myself more, to understand why I am here at /k.
*
You are mostly correct

Except the freedom part. Instead of exploring the wide wild world I'll be with books for most part of my life. If he can't accept that, then it's impossible to be together

I'll rather stick to my books than you. Books provide me with an escapism to wherever I want while in reality you would only hinder my imagination by grounding me.
*
What I provide is the opposite of grounding

I'll be happy to read a book in the park while you escape to whatever book world in your room

Then you interrogate him why he's lying about reading? tongue.gif
*
I don't have to

When he can't answer the questions he should have some guilt for lying

I will acknowledge his lying by changing the topic after seconds of awkward silence, thus reprimanding him without ruining his actual manhood
