Well , if 1 brand can become successful by locking everything down , others will try to follow as well . Put it this way , how many users bricked their phones when samsung was "lose" on their policy ? There was a time , SME allows u to claim even when u r rooted or on custom rom . Thanks to ppl flashing G roms and non G roms on different version of their phones , bricking their phones during G2 era , requiring a motherboard change , SME revised their warranty policy . Sure , its not users fault since Samsung themselves made 2 variants of the same model but inexperienced users should at least try to understand what they r doing b4 actually doing it .

I think u need deodex firmware + mod the framework to change the battery icon . Most wanam can do is change the color
