Is it a must to change from Poland firmware to Malaysia or just everyone's own preference?

Sifu, just to ask to clear doubt.  If the person is in KitKat polan rooted and knox 0x0 [follow the step using page 1]. But just wish to flash CSC into Malaysia's CSC.

Only need to flash cache.image.ext4 of the extracted Malaysia's firmware via PC odin CSC slot right? No need to flash the boot.image?

It's not advisable to flash CSC via MOP as it might lose root?

Root should maintained and knox 0x0 ?

Just put it in MOP right? Like what I did flashing Poland's KitKat. But this time no need to flash the bootloader or CSC anymore. Straight flash using Malaysia firmware with everroot?

somehow i decided to factory reset using the menu in setting.

to my surprise, it does delete everything...including everything in my internal SD...whatsapp files, ringtones, 2gb tar.md5 file, titanium backup folder (bummer) ....

as i remember, in note1, only setting and apps will be deleted but not physical file.

yeah i guess so.... but not this time... i check again replying to this... andddd.....nope, no confirmation... just saying it will delete everything including data and downloaded apps... will see later if it erase internal sd again (now loading..)

btw, i'm on x-note 8....maybe the cook change something??

edit: yes, it does delete the internal storage content. last time on note1, it does not. we have to tick format internal sd to erase everything. time to setup everything again

1.flashed Malaysia kitkat with odin v3.09

- update bootloader ticked

result: doing fine
2. trying to root with cf root with odin v3.07

result: stucked at recovery booting

tq sir ....my phone now rooted... but i cannot install cwm or twrp on my phone. I tried many times now using a few method but failed to boot into recovery... ( i want to x-note 8.0 )

both method....also try update to xnote 8.0 using stock recovery also got error...

You mean flash CSC of extracted cache.img.ext4 of Malaysia's firmware? I've same problem with him now, doesn't show CSC in *#1234*

my knox still 0x0 from MJ7, I managed to resolve the issue by flashing with PC Odin, but loses the root.

what to tick in MOP sifu?

Now in dilemma how to solve CSC problem, Samsung Keyboard keep crashing. Should I reflash using this CSC via MOP?

let say if I wanna apply root in KitKat, I need to trip Knox right?

Yes, I flashed Malaysia's firmware via MOP. Root remained, knox 0x0 but CSC not there and Samsung Keyboard keeps crashing.

Previously I was on Poland KitKat rooted with knox 0x0, also have CSC problem but flash using the CSC posted in page 1.

btw, I've read somewhere stated that if I factory reset (not via Recovery), the CSC will auto loaded into it. But will I still retain root? As what i searched before, they said root will retain if Factory Reset.
