would prefer to be on normal recommended tyres at this point of time, as i would rather look at other items to improve on such as stability and such...

XV might "feel" less stable due to its height and higher profile tyre...
but...... ok lah... still perform better than any other suvs

I do agree. Went on a roadtrip to KB recently. Dare not push the car at corners (be it a sharp turn or a long sweeping one) as it does feel 'unstable' at times or its something i need to get used to.

Thanks for the link bro, but a point to ponder, would our XV reacts as good as the Forrester?

I wonder if Motor Image or Subaru or anyone would/could organize a driving class/event for XV owners. I mean it would be good for us to know the XV's potentials and limitations, in a closed and controlled manner, monitored by professionals.

What do you guys think?

For wash, i send to my normal place. They did ask, so i told them its a normal car, but a little bit high in height. Hence they still charge me RM10 for normal wash or RM16 using meguair's. Another place charged me RM25 for normal wash. All inclusive of vacuum.

For polishing, I asked my normal detailer, and he quoted me RM400 for 2 layers compared to a normal sedan at RM350.

USB and aux jack are on the Kenwood headunit itself. Bottom lefthand corner under the volume dial.

As for me, i fill up each time it reaches 1/4 tank. Have to be paranoid a bit when ur on the roads as u'll never know whats up ahead.

One question : Would stretching the fuel/drive when the warning light lights up strain the fuel pump, thus shortening the life of the fuel pump?

Probably 1-2 seconds after ignition, and i normally outside the car (not seating in car) just having the door open and start the engine to warm it up. that is when i hear the sound. Hopefully nothing serious as the car just clock 1700 KM.  hmm.gif
*
Yup i have the same 'click' sound as u..... just hope its nothing. Only noticed it during cold starts in the morning.

Edit:  Is there any other way to turn on the Kenwood HU other than pressing the Menu button?  I need to press quite hard on the button to turn on the HU, scare will increase the wear and tear.  I tried to press the Mode button on the steering wheel for few second but it does not turn on the HU.  sweat.gif  Haven't used the remote control though.  I think the remote is still in the plastic wrap.

On the menu page, you can also press STANDBY. It does not power down, but it goes on 'sleep' mode......but in any case, i just leave it switched on...

Hi Guys, just wanna check with you guys regarding to the XV alarm, is it very sensitive? or just mine got soemthing wrong? it will trigger itself, like 8 - 10 times since day 1 until now, eventhough at my own house. and the auto central lock, sometimes it will lock automatically when over 20km, but most of the time it auto lock after 10 - 30mins.
*
No issues with the alarm or even autolock. Loose wiring or wiring in contact with the body might cause the alarm to trigger.
