How was the Subaru CKD quality? Mind to share any common issue, rattling sound, NVH etc? Lots of fren still remind not to get Subaru as hard to resale later or hard to get spare parts, mostly still prefer to get CX5 instead. I am comparing at the CKD Forestor 2.0P with the key selling point of AWD and personally I cant stand for any rattling sound.
*
i think most of us car are still pretty new, mine does not have rattling sound to date

maybe need to seek advise from those that owned the car for more than 3 years

Urs are Forestor? How long u been driving it? Thx
How about FC?
*
Xv only
Forester before this dont have ckd, they are cbu and come with turbocharger
The forester ckd you planned to buy is without turbo, so fc also cannot compare haha
But my xv fc is around typical C segment FC 10L/100km
Forester ckd is using the same engine i think, but body heavier, so expect fc will be higher than 10L/100km liao

Is the 2016 CKD Forester come w/ Hill Start Assist?
Spec only show Hill Descent Assist for down hill but wondering is the Auto Vehicle Hold equivalent to Hill Start Assist?

Thx
*
a googling shows that even 1989 subaru legacy have this function, and oversea's forester did have this function since 10 years ago
so i think it should have in the CKD forester 2016 since this function have been so long and i dont think it's expensive to put in

maybe try a test drive and see if it has it, and try to go roads full of pot holes and see if the car can handle it.

*edit.. source from pauline tan

"Speaking of being covered, any safety concerns are answered with seven airbags (dual front, sides and curtains, driver’s knee), Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist, ring-shaped reinforcement frame and ABS (with EBD and BA). This safety suite is not variant-exclusive, and is available on all three, which is mighty impressive at its price point."

it does have it

initially i tot hill start assist is some sophisticated & intelligence in the system bcos I kind of notice it was regularly emphasize in a popular brand.

after reading the manual, it is just a 2s delay in releasing the brake after lifting the foot of the peddle
*
Those popular brand already a lot of people buy no matter what their car have ma, some even before announce specs also order until waiting list liao, wat for put so many features hahaha

i m still curious how our JPJ categorize road tax.  isn't ASX AWD same category as XV?
user posted image
i doubt there is any mistakes on the price list.
*
as far as i know, they go by the term '4wd', not awd, thats why subaru's awd, and merc's 4matic, or audi's quattro got diff road tax structure than the 4wd

I spent the whole day there, the second last to get my car even though I book a week earlier for a morning appointment.

Any member can share their service experience? Which day in particular is less crowded?
*

since the selling price is controlled, with such huge discount, gov don't kacau meh?
unfortunately it still need a lot of effort to attracts common buyers.
*
because the price is controlled, they have to reduce price using this way lo

i have no idea who on earth would still get the new perdana when a subaru SUV is priced lower than a local brand sedan

What way? this is not pre-reg or 2015 ex-stock discount.
looks like direct discount to me.
*
Miti might be controlling car prices to protect proton, so lets say subaru wanted to sell at 140k to attract customer from other car brand, but then miti say no, so they launch 150k officially then give discount become 140 or 130k lo

Sorry, can anyone explain the logic to me why Subaru XV and Subaru Forester almost the same price range eventhough (I think) Subaru Forester is superior than XV?
*
i think the price seems right

in united states and canada, forester is priced really similarly to XV, or named crosstrek, so there is very little XV compared to forester

before this in malaysia, the diff between forester and xv is big because 1 is CBU and another is CKD, so we can expect to see less XV sales now and more forester sales, i think the new XV after discount is 120k+ and the forester 130k+ right

The XV alarm manual says the default code to disable the alarm should be change. But didn't really explain how to input the number? Since its only 1 button and the number is 4 digit. How do I enter a number for example 1234 ??
*
I think is enter the first number, eg u want 5, then u press 5 times button, then wait for a set seconds, maybe 3seconds, then press 7 times the button, then wait 3 sexonds then press 2 times, then wait again then press 5 times
Then your password will be 5725
Im just guessing because my honda was like this, xv i havent change yet but should be about the same

Everything went well, deposit paid, down payment paid and car number plate bought .. They were suppose to register the car yesterday.. And today they called and told me the car allocated is a 2014 car. I m of cos very unhappy and I said I will not accept a 2014 car . 2015 totally no stock and cannot find anymore

Can u advise or where should I complain to? Shall I complain to subaru Japan?
*
U write to japan also they will direct back to motor image because they are the distributor for subaru for a lot of countries including malaysia
