potential is unpredictable.

if u dont know, WP8 is basically iOS wearing a mask. lots of restriction to what u can do.

not to say i wanna bash WP8, i've use all 3 OSs, WP8 disappoints the most.
if u can manage the flaws on ur everyday use and you're happy with the price u pay, why not. smile.gif

*psstt.. Moto G - RM7xx, L1320 - RM1xxx..  brows.gif *
*
I really don't know, but I hope I'll be happy with the price I pay. smile.gif

I've used both OS so far and hope to find something different in WP8. I'm not such a power user to the point I need/have to customize and flash every kernel/ROM on my phone, though I am using a custom ROM on my GNexus. So far I'm just running the most stable version of it. Isn't it obvious the market for this phone is different from the one you're looking at?

Thanks, but I'm aware of motog price point ^^

U hav a Galaxy Nexus.. no wonder la.. but then again, vanila 4.4 is smooth as butter adi, no need to flash whatever rom.

WP8 is not all bad, there are fancy features too;
- like press and hold camera shutter to immediately launch camera
- double tap to wake
- glance screen.

But when it comes to the cons, it pops out like a pimple;
- no proper file manager
- answer call need to swipe then tap (android n iOS only need 1 swipe)
- messy settings menu
- turning on & off the mobile data & wifi is a daily hassle (android n iOS only need 1 tap)
- no .apk (if u know what i mean)

GNexus on 4.3 already very smooth actually, but battery life is sweat.gif

If you've used vanilla android before, you'd know before JB there's no quick wifi/data toggles on the notifications screen. Let's hope the pros outweigh the cons on WP8 ^^
Which phone r u using as your daily driver now btw?

some reviews from slahgear..

http://www.slashgear.com/nokia-lumia-1320-review-20313825/

"In the end, while size matters, it's also what you do with it that really counts, and we're not sure Windows Phone yet does enough to warrant phablet-scale for every user. Although some groups will find enough to love about the Lumia 1320's screen, Microsoft needs to do a little more to refine its OS to deliver on its half of the bargain. That will undoubtedly come in time, but for now we'd be more tempted by one of Nokia's smaller Lumia devices, particularly those with PureView cameras."

hmmm.. seems like not much 'wow' factor other then big screen.. but still i want hands-on my self once reach nearest store

8.1 doesnt necessary available to older devices.

I have GNexus, Nexus 7 2013, iPhone 3GS and iPad 2. The 3GS has been in deep sleep for a verry long time. Been lagging since iOS 6. LOL.

Lets be optimistic to see that 8.1 will come to all WP8 phones (as announced).

Look at you all, what a show off of your device collection laugh.gif

I have a new Nexus 7 2013 too, the usual habit of double tapping to wake the device is unavoidable on Nexus 7 2013, I wish every smart devices have this feature.

The shutter button was also one of the things that I miss on Android devices.

WP8 is a-okay for me, all of us who adopts the platform were able to adapt quickly, no biggy. smile.gif

Just brought last night..... I am former galaxy nexus user ... Now this wp8 from my opinion performance great than 4.3 android ... Windows store less apps since WP is new in market... Battery life heavy usage can last more than 12 hr .wifi and 3g vry fast on video steaming and YouTube steaming ... No Firefox app .. Instragram still on beta ... Camera good enough for me and no flash player support many web video can't play like at ign site video is hopeless .. And heavy phone also.. And I happy with it

I have used Android for 3 years now, and also have used iOS for around 3 years (iPad 2). So, I reckon I am well versed in terms of mobile OSes.

I feel the phone is good. Worth the RM1000 or so I paid for it. battery life is amazing...period. Lasted me more than 3 days with medium-moderate usage. With high-moderate usage, I reckon you can go 2 days easily. And with heavy usage, you can easily last a full day.

From what I observe, the phone has one downside:

Poor camera. It is 5MP. Then again, I don't bother about cameras so it doesn't affect me.

Otherwise, the screen is amazing. Unless you use a 5-inch phone with 1080p display, you really won't mind the 720-p display here. The colours are amazing, brightness as well (can read directly under sunlight). Also can use with gloves if you want (super high sensitivity).

App selection wise, it is not so good (no official YouTube and FB app!!!???). Also, the system is pretty basic compared to Android/iOS. But to me, it's not a big deal. With the 8.1 update in April, it should be much improved.

Speed wise, this one is basically lag-free. iOS level of smoothness. Android is just a lagfest. My cousin has a Note 3 and even that can lag at times!!!

Also you get some good stuff from Nokia, especially their Drive and Maps app which lets you use them OFFLINE with just GPS (no need DATA at all). And I tested it and it works fine!

Pros: Great battery (maybe the most long lasting in a smartphone). Great screen (if you aren't already used to 1080p on a small screen). Smooth. Offline Maps/Drive.

Cons: Poor camera. Weak app selection and system functionalities (this one not got to do with phone but WP8 in general).

Not to me. Coming from a person who has several 720p 10-inch tablets, I find it great. But I reckon if you're coming from 1080p 5-inch phone from example, you *might* not find this good.
