QUOTE(lonetitans @ Jan 19 2014, 10:56 AM) I think getting Nokia is almost synonymous as getting Windows Phone 8 OS - having pureview and carl zeiss is a plus, just that this is a mid-range phone that hits the right spot of price vs usability WP8 isn't exactly top notch in terms of usability. As for me, if u're going for price n usability, mid-range android would do a better job Nokia's known for their camera nowadays, if u're not going for that, doesnt seem feasible to get a Nokia, especially in the mid-range specs. just my 2 cents. |

QUOTE(lonetitans @ Jan 19 2014, 02:45 PM) I agree with you Nokia's camera features are great. Just unfortunate that I don't really like the mid-range Androids due to the bloatware they load into the OS. Closest I'd get would be the Moto G, since it's pretty much vanilla android with expected great battery life. Then again, I am not really concerned about camera performance since I don't take much photos with my phone. potential is unpredictable.I believe the term usability is a subject matter. I've yet to try WP8; hence getting one, but I do see potential in the OS growing much better. if u dont know, WP8 is basically iOS wearing a mask. lots of restriction to what u can do. not to say i wanna bash WP8, i've use all 3 OSs, WP8 disappoints the most. if u can manage the flaws on ur everyday use and you're happy with the price u pay, why not. *psstt.. Moto G - RM7xx, L1320 - RM1xxx.. |

U hav a Galaxy Nexus.. no wonder la.. but then again, vanila 4.4 is smooth as butter adi, no need to flash whatever rom.
WP8 is not all bad, there are fancy features too; - like press and hold camera shutter to immediately launch camera - double tap to wake - glance screen. But when it comes to the cons, it pops out like a pimple; - no proper file manager - answer call need to swipe then tap (android n iOS only need 1 swipe) - messy settings menu - turning on & off the mobile data & wifi is a daily hassle (android n iOS only need 1 tap) - no .apk (if u know what i mean) |

QUOTE(lonetitans @ Jan 20 2014, 07:29 AM) GNexus on 4.3 already very smooth actually, but battery life is My daily driver is Lumia 925, i have Nexus 7 2013 and iPhone 4SIf you've used vanilla android before, you'd know before JB there's no quick wifi/data toggles on the notifications screen. Let's hope the pros outweigh the cons on WP8 ^^ Which phone r u using as your daily driver now btw? 4S sluggish after iOS 7 update. so left in drawer collecting dust. QUOTE(noorimanyosh @ Jan 22 2014, 08:37 PM) 8.1 doesnt necessary available to older devices.Look at WP7 to WP8 transition. Pity Lumia 800 n 900. |
