Xinhuanet @XinhuanetNews ‪#‎MalaysiaAirlines‬ FLASH: VIETNAMESE RESCUE OFFICIAL SAYS MISSING MALAYSIAN PLANE'S SIGNAL DETECTED: MEDIA
https://www.facebook.com/nstonline/posts/10...66?stream_ref=1

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - Malaysia Airlines said a flight carrying 239 people from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing went missing early Saturday, and the airline was notifying next of kin in a sign it expected the worst.

The airline said flight MH370 disappeared at 2:40 am local time (1840 GMT Friday), about two hours after leaving Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It had been due to arrive in Beijing at 6:30 am local time (2230 GMT Friday).

It was carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, from 13 different nationalities, and 12 crew members.

China's state television said 158 of the passengers were Chinese.

"We deeply regret that we have lost all contacts with flight MH370 which departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41 am earlier this morning bound for Beijing," Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said in a statement.

The statement said the Malaysian flag carrier was working with authorities, who had launched an effort to locate the aircraft.

"Our team is currently calling the next-of-kin of passengers and crew," Ahmad Jauhari said.

The plane was a Boeing 777-200. The airline's Kuala Lumpur-Beijing route passes roughly over the Indochinese peninsula.

A Malaysian Airlines spokeswoman said she could not immediately provide further details.

"This news has made us all very worried," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a statement.

"We hope every one of the passengers is safe. We are doing all we can to get more details."

'Contact lost over Vietnam airspace'

A report by China's Xinhua news agency said contact was lost with the plane while it was over Vietnamese airspace.

A Beijing airport spokeswoman said the facility had activated an emergency response system. Screens at the airport indicated the flight was "delayed".

The good captain of MH370 was also a flight sim enthusiast.

A 53-year-old named Zaharie Ahmad Shah has been identified as the pilot of missing flight MH370. This Malaysian Airlines flight was headed to Beijing when it disappeared. Unfortunately, there are strong indications that it crashed in the ocean near Vietnam.

Look below for 9 pictures of Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, who has been a pilot with the airline since 1981. He has more than 18,000 hours of in-air experience.

He has a great reputation and collegues say he is as dedicated to his craft as anyone in the industry. In fact, he even has an elaborate flight simulator in his home that he uses to practice during the time he isn’t in the air.

Let us hope for a miracle.

apapun aku rasa kita kena bina juga sistem AEW&C sendiri serta amphibious ship sendiri sekurang-kurangnya jenis Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD)..
buat jadi lagi kes camni cepat sikit nak selamatkan orang..

http://dspace.dsto.defence.gov.au/dspace/handle/1947/9286

dan juga dalam perbincangan forum ni
http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/world-arme...craft-6752.html

AEW&C ni hebat gaban mana pun radar dia, bila masuk air dia still tak guna gak.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency pictures

Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia meneruskan operasi mencari pesawat MH370 dengan meluaskan kawasan pencarian di perairan Kota Bahu, Kelantan dalam lingkungan 120 batu nautika hingga menghampiri garis sempadan maritim Malaysia-Vietnam. Tepat jam 6.45 pagi Ketua Pengarah APMM, Laksamana Maritim Datuk Mohd Amdan bin Kurish mengetuai operasi pemantauan udara dengan pesawat Bombardier CL415 sehingga jam 11.30 pagi tadi.

As explained earlier, nope.

Singapore sent in a Submarine Support and Rescue Vehicle, that thing is equpped with spotlight, windows (yes! submarine with windows, not found in a combat submarine), and other equipment for deep sea rescuing.

They claim our air force is incompetent but, 13 years ago, some towelheads grabbed control of their plane, rammed it into some towers, making it crash and burn, and what did the world most trained, most sophisticated air force did?

Not a goddamn thing.

These kind of thing, it tends to happen with little to no notice, and it is difficult to anticipate.

kalau ikut map ada orang cuba kata dia nak cuba land dekat Langkawi...

tapi mengikut sahabat pilot hamba

>No. Typical of mat salleh to think they know better than us because of f***in Google f***ing maps.
>For one, we would never elect Langkawi as an enroute diversion. Lacks ground support. Control tower closes at midnight, opens at 6am. Runway is long? So what. What's the point of landing on a long Runway when the tower isn't open to alert Firefighting and Ambulatory services for aircraft emergencies?
>If we flew North West, we always elect 3 in the following order: Penang, Phuket, Medan. If we flew North East it would be Saigon, Danang, Kota Bahru.
>Forgot to mention, all MAS captains can confidently fly visual at night (clear skies) based on town lights at Penang airport with zero instruments based on pure experience being a Malaysian pilot.

Grenade placed near Klang Sentral bus terminal fails to explode

KLANG: A row of shops near the Klang Sentral bus terminal in Meru here was almost blown up Tuesday when an armed hand grenade placed nearby failed to explode.

According to police, the grenade did not explode because its components were old and rusted.

Police were notified about the grenade around 10am when passers-by spotted it outside the shops at the terminal.

The grenade was detonated in a nearby open area around noon by a police bomb squad that had rushed to the scene.

Police said the grenade did not belong to the military or police force.
