integrated is better in my personal opinion; rather than drill or stick the switch somewhere on your dashboard.

i'm also looking for one for my J spec Vios.
*
i think separate is better, coz switch on rear fog together very easy offence people at back

I am the one that complained at Facebook Toyota, they have changed the upper engine mounting to year 2003 model and it has finally solved the knocking sound problem. But strangely why only certain batches have this type of problem whereas other batches can accept the current new vios mounting.
*
huh??? so it actually is engine mounting??? rclxub.gif
that mean my engine been banging for half year already???

the sound won't happen at "smooth end" type hump, it make noise at the point when the tyre sudden drop from a taller place, pothole is easier to make it

why every sales agent and even service center always ask to give high marks ? Some even said when received the questionnaires please return to sales person or service center. So that they can write themselves.

I end up fire up what i felt discomfort and tell them the good and bad experiences.
*
my answer.... lol remember to send back anyway because each of it worth rm20 service voucher, i got 3 total rm60
my comment on sales and sc is still very good, because even they can't solve my problem and starting to talk c*ck, they say it with very professional "japanese company smile".

I'm a proud owner of Vios J for a month already. Sadly, after a month this problem came.

Btw, I am now working in Thailand so I brought together the car lah.

Long story short, my kilang was so deep into the Yala district. I park my car within the kilang area oso. Guess what happened? All my aircon vents eaten by the bloody rats. I mean all of'em. Debris all over the place. I don't know whether they ate just oni the vents or the wires oso idk. Luckily, the car still starts. I'm planning to send the car over the SC in Malaysia when I got back soon. Any prediction what will happen over there at SC, sifus? sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif
*
suggest u fix it at thai... doubt ur car will burn on the way back to msia, coz not sure what else rats bitten lol
also their part is cheaper coz dont have bloody tax there, but better find a thai people communicate with them

i found tyre pressure very much affect the fc, used to follow car sticker f220/r210, then i try f210/r210 see if soft abit help lesser dashboard vibrating noise,
but ended up continuously decrease 30km for 2 times, pump back 220 immediately sweat.gif

just back from Honda showroom...

im impressed with the Honda City dashboard build quality... even the low spec E+ looks much nicer than our Vios E or J dashboard.

The standard HU have call function, and USB port at the bottom of centre console... bloody premium feel.

Vios is really an overpriced junk.
*
depends lo... did u mean S+?
honda using cvt have advantage of lower cost to play compare with 4at which sound old but actually more expensive,
and they make door visor, boot tray etc as optional accessories for all model, we have it all even at lowest spec,
except highest spec, city all using 175/65 tyre, vios use 185/60. and i think our J seat have better quality fabric compare with city, city seat feels like saga the fabric loose loose dei, especially sit at back look at front seat's rear.
from just few thing above honda atleast have thousand more cost budget to play at other place.

for high spec, i wouldn't say vios is overprice too, what toyota offer which honda doesn't aren't cheap at all, just they totally aim at wrong place, honda cleverly hit all their arrow at bull-eyes.
for low spec, honda need to remove even alloy rim to make a little cheaper than vios (or same price after vios discount), so i guess they tried their best at really tight "reasonable profit" already.

anything wrong with the cvt?
*
old old generation city have trouble on their cvt, i have 3 in my known ppl group,
1 total lost while the gearbox still working fine.
1 after changed 6 or 7 parts in honda sc, end up actually is gearbox problem, after noise kao kao they agree return some of the paid money.
1 the gear jerking for some time only, he decide to continue drive till totally dead then change car.

new city using newer cvt thus might works fine, but hor, just like korean car, they used to be bad now even improved but people need time to have confident.

Hmm.. Maybe both us have different in this case. I'm more into the car overall build instead of these items u mentioned.

Being driving a Focus in the first place, and now Vios... Then have a drive in City... Seriously... Our Vios doesn't worth the given price at all.

This is my personal opinion. smile.gif

My driver side seatbelt noise have yet to settled... And the roof insulation is not here yet... shakehead.gif
*
yes... that's what i said, toyota aiming at wrong place, i dont want these shit either if they can give me 6 airbags and vsc lol
they being too traditional minded, and honda did a bet, and they won.
now nissan also follow honda's way, cut away all classy thing on old slyphy, switch the budget to offer full safety package.

If you sit on the new city for sometime, you will find a bunch of bad feedbacks too. There are mounting issues inside the car and outside the car, cracking sound when trying to offs the engine. Go see for yourself in the comments in the city forums.

Please be fair to all brands , because toyota and honda are not the only one with issues. even CKD BMW cars have major build issues. Overall, I felt disappointed with all ckd built cars.
*
not only ckd, cbu BMW also have door rubber lining dried up, causing poor sound proof and water leak.
of course they blame weather, but since it's cbu their blame is legit.

oh yea and water boil issue too

the rattling noise cant be solved. mine till now come back again after parking under hot sun.

well.. u need to push them to investigate what is the matter of the real cause. for me i guess its the lower arm?
*
lai, if it's not solvable, we need something to make ourself more comfortable hahahaha biggrin.gif

http://www.carbase.my/bmw/3-series/f30/owner-reviews

Warranty period is only 2 years.
my suspensions has failed once in 2 years
my tyres were delivered with a buldge (defect)
my steering make knocking noises
my suspension makes thumping sounds
windnoise
tyre noise

1) Cabin wind noise
4) Creaking noise around the cabin

- Rear boot lid loosen within one month of driving
- Wind noise

- 2 years warranty (shortest in today's market)
- 3 years BSRI is complete rip-off (free every 30k km only)
- Quality control over CKD products
- Constant squeaks in cabin even after rectify, again & again.
- On 320i standard Bridgestone's tyres, it can get really slippery when wet.

CKD quality is poor and is plagued with interior noise the day you get the car. At this price range one would expect to have comfort access/keyless entry, some form of build in navigation, reverse camera and a decent sound system.

The NVH of this car is also poor, even at 100kmh you can start to hear the wind noise coming from the side mirrors and the engine and road noise seeps into the interior too.

After sales service isn't always professional nor are they competent enough to troubleshoot the car which in return waste's the owner's time to keep bringing it in for troubleshooting no thanks to poor QA/QC when the car left the factory.
