had a quote from the spare part shop that OEM will be RM165 and Kayaba is RM155 without installation. reasonable?
*
Stick with Kayaba as they're the manufacturer for toyota suspension.

I found an interesting pic in paul tan website, which is one of the presentation slides during launch on the new vios and u notice one of the point is 'right engine mount' apparently designed actually to improve sound insulation to reduce low frequency booming noise.... Well, just sharing
*
Perhaps Toyota never bother to mention about the roof insulation during the design for this so called improved model? rclxub.gif

usually <50km, they will unplug the odometer cable if they want to drive farĀ  sweat.gif

I once encountered a convoy of Perodua Alzas that was being driven at speed above 100km/h when they drove the car to the respective dealers. The sales or delivery staff have help with the break in of the engine at some point before u sign the release document. This also applies to all cars even Nissan GTR need to be driven at 100% before delivery. tongue.gif

internally, Toyota Malaysia had distributed memo to all service centre on the roof insulation and RH engine mounting issue.

by right, they should have received it...
*
Does the roof insulation also covers the VIOS 2nd Gen?

I don't think it'll be nice to just publish his number publicly but if you're interested then give me a PM. =]
*
The point of PM is that you wanna earn $$$ as introducer then... hmm.gif
NO harm is giving the name of the dealer.

Thanks all sifus.. I got my mind changed and change my booking to G spec instead! I guess I wouldn't regret it because looking at 5.5k and I could get so much more than what E can offer. Anticipating the car in september biggrin.gif
*
Congrats on getting G. rclxms.gif
The 5.5K is not so much difference in your repayment if you compare with E. Dun alang-alang, else regret later...
How much discount they give and any freebies?
The Merdeka promotion gives 2K rebate for Toyota cars.

Hi all, good day, has been following the forum few months since i had my vios J spec, lot thing learned here, thanks.

Got one curious, when drive going down hill with some speed and brake a bit, engine noise up and meter up to 4, checked with SC and tested, been told this is normal for vios toyota engine, is this true or how is yours? Thanks in advance.
*
You can apply the engine braking when going down hill. Shift to 3rd or 4th gear and don't step on the accelerator. The RPM will be higher since you rely on engine drive train for this to wwork.

Engine Braking

I'm not expert, but for any other things, wiki and google works best.

Because using USB port can support more features like control the songs by pressing the buttons on the audio system without looking at the phone while driving? USB port can also charge the phone. Can your iPhone connect through USB?
*
The USB for Toyota Player is designed only to support USB thumbdrive playback and USB charging.
You need to install aftermarket player such as Kenwood/Pioneer for Iphone support.

Can refer to the car owners manual for more info.

My 2014 Vios G fuel consumption is 9.1km/l.
I am using Caltex 95.
Odometer is about 11000.
Every working day, drive from Ampang to KL and back.
Is it OK?
*
If you're involve in heavy jam everyday to work, then consumption is what most drivers will get. Unless there is someone here drviing in the same car and the same route as you getting better mileage, perhaps you did some modifications to ur car such as low profile tyres, larger rims, sound proofing etc.

my vios keyless sign keep flashing when getting into the car. Battery for remote dying? Anyone know how to change the battery and what is the battery size?
*
Jason1986, would be helpful if you can take a photo of the remote for the members to help u? Different generation VIOS have diff. battery sizes. doh.gif
For NCP93R, the battery size is CR1220.
