QUOTE(ashwin988 @ Jan 22 2014, 11:22 AM) I would suggest Purity bro. Cata is good, but its kinda like stock as well and honestly, i think PA beta 3 is better then Cata, my 2 cents will look into purity then^^the reason i wanted cata is because of it looks like stock while offering alot more features. Yeah all could be found in xposed modules but I just cant get my hands off ART. |

QUOTE(menghua84 @ Jan 22 2014, 11:28 AM) the nillkin glass SP supposed to be anti fingerprint right? mine is still attracts oil and fingerprint after using it.. :S Not true. The oleophoebic coating helps in reducing finger print smudges. U can easily wipe the finger prints off by wiping off your pants shirts tissue paper etc etc. |

QUOTE(ashwin988 @ Jan 22 2014, 12:18 PM) I have used trinity on purity and rastakat and cata. It well with everything i mentioned. Trinty is really smooth and fast. If you want the smoothest experience over battery life i would suggest elementalx and trinity both are super smooth. Trinity does not have d2tw etc caue its a simple kernel at the moment. To top up I would say the difference would be minimal in real life usage due to the raw power from snapdragon n optimizations of 4.4. Even on stock rom n kernel itself the device still flies. If you want battery life Franco and Faux. I feel faux is the best in my opinion for my usage. SO for speed and awesome performance and smoothness : Trinity and Elemental x (i feel trinity is slightly smother) Battery life and decent performance (better then stock) Franco and faux. Also, try and undervolt if you can and when you find the best kernel of your choice, i would really suggest to buy their kernel app and tweak around with the UV until you get a sweet balance of battery life and performance for your daily usage without reboots. |

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Jan 22 2014, 12:26 PM) Thanks for the input btw if you really wanna flash bricked kernel must buy k-control. others wont work. But I get better battery life on elemental compare to franco. Now still in testing stage so I'm still flashing and comparing kernels. I do UV on all kernels (-75v), using trickster mod is enough for me atm, am still poor, can't afford to spend so much on their app |

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Jan 22 2014, 12:37 PM) Really? I read through the thread and there are those who reported can use with trickster. If not then I can always go through the /sys K-control has so much more control over the kernel to the slightest bit. Customization wise dis mmg best. |

QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Jan 22 2014, 03:17 PM) Don't think Google Now really uses GPS. It's the Google Location services which is basically some pooling based on WiFi or mobile location. yeap totally true. But then again i'm not a fan of how google rolls. I follow some guide in XDA to disable and freeze their frameworks lol. |

Its a very common bug across all androids. Happened to every single android device i own. The media server/storage is responsible for medias like pictures, movies, songs etc. Happily it did not happen since i used nexus 5 for the past 2 weeks so I actually forgotten bout such bug. Not until today.
I screen shot from google chrome for some information to share in my whatsapp group. Den i do other stuffs lor. After an hour i check my battery usage de media server didn't go back to sleep>< still scanning for media I suppose. The total wake up time is 1 hour zun zun. Takes up 10% of my batt usage. Last time when i use xperia zl this fella can take up 45% of my battery (not battery usage). So I wanna find a solution to tackle it before it's too late. I've done prior research before only way is to put .nomedia in directories you dont wan them to scan. However this method will cause galleries unable to display picture thumbnails, so only work for music directories. Another option is to freeze the media scanner/storage entirely but might cause audio notification to go haywire. And also unable to take screenshots. Any other better options?? |

QUOTE(Ahmaz @ Jan 24 2014, 10:00 AM) Phone will allocate enough power even when at 0% for alarm to go off. e.g. if you went to sleep and your phone battery finished.. it will still ring alarm in the morning sorry but android doesn't work that way. I remember last time my iphone 4 used to wotk that way too now not so sure.Anyway i had 1% left when i wake up. after i brush teeth take bath den no more. |
