for the kernel setting... i use trickster mod for everything too... but what i mean here is referring to the BUILDPROP and INIT tweak that is BUILD in as a NICE UI.... so its very good for beginner or lazy ppl like me to play around with the setting of complicated thing in a simple UI... unless u like to open up those buildprop with root explorer and dive into the directory... and open with some .prop viewer...
I normally use Root explorer change dpi. Easier

Well, 1st gnex that can change batt, (beside the previus gnex) and still have many accessory selling.
For battery... Actually those phone you also can change battery, just not as easy as GNex. Given Moto G's battery life, I doubt you will need a second battery.
Oh ya... Battery life is another thing you should concern with. GNex normally give me only 2 hours SOT on data for less than 18 hours usage. Newer phone has newer chipset with better architecture that greatly reduces the power consumption both during idle and loaded, providing even higher peak performance.
So... For all the reasons listed, you should go for a newer phone. Period.
Anyway, the battery not like will kaput once every few months. Just get it replaced after a year or two. It's possible that you might already eye on another new model and not going to use the same phone anymore.

well hmmm i'm concerned about the battery drain there.. i've installed PA beta not impressed with it.. looks like Omnimetal + Mpokang still the one for me

i'll go for Asus if for me, i mean they build the excellent Nexus 7!

anyway I've a 7inch Vido and 10inch Ainol tablet.. both rooted and custom ROM-ed
still good for custom ROM flashing.. still strong community in XDA

I'm using Omnimetal + Mpokang 1080p. Dirty V not doing right with my phone too.
Yeah... I also prefer the Asus.
Asus Fonepad 7 Me175CG
Pros: better brand, intel processor, better camera, android 4.3, higher res screen
Cons: screen not as bright, no light sensor, not sure about proximity sensor, mono speaker
the older single sim fonepad 7 has dual front facing speaker which is a better option!
A3000
Pros: LOUDDDD dual speaker (but two speaker side by side at the back

), brighter screen, light + proximity sensor
Cons: Mediatek processor, not so good brand?, stuck at 4.2, price never goes down since about 10 months ago...
Hmm... Both price is about the same. Fonepad 7 around RM545 but need top up for casing and SP. Lenovo RM620 can get with casing and SP.

hard to choose
China tabs... Stock firmware many like rubbish

. Ainol even worse... That time recommend friend buy hero 10... Advertised as quad core Cortex A7 (amlogic)... But ends up... benchmark just like dual core A9 phones. Why? Because it's quad core A5!!! Not A7... How to trust them again?
The build quality also so so only. Better get Asus/Lenovo since they also went into the low cost segment at competitive pricing with reliable warranty.
