you maybe right regarding the hardware but the last remaining thing that icks me from being a pioneer user is the flash bleed problem. I am still unclear of it being a hardware issue or the solution lies in software update? Did Sony release statement about this issue?
Oh and i prefer to have variety of casing option and the screen protector available straight away when i get the phone .. haha

actually i think changes can happen if Sony is willing to sacrifice profit margin to bring up higher % of customer satisfaction.

Lotsa procrastinators around. When there is Z1 Compact, they want Z2 Compact and so on and so forth. If you like the phone just buy it. Why wanna think this and that, want the second batch of Z1 Compact lar, want improved version lar. Why want to make your life so complicated?

By the way, most manufacturers will not work on an existing model or give and upgrades on it as it is already in the production line or worst its already on the markets. To alter an exisiting production would be too costly. When a product is already launched and on the market, most of their designers and programmers will be working on a new replacement model for that phone already.

but looking at z1c, it already is using ips screen... so, what else is there to look forward for z2c?

No. Z1C will remain as previous Xperia Z series which will have "anti-shatter film". Only starting from Z2 and Z2 Tablet onward will not have "anti-shatter film".

Did sony find the film redundant and thus discarded the use of it or..did they replace it with a new flim? could it be that there's no more use for any film from the Z2 onwards?

If Z1C sales no good, won't expect Z2C lol

Usually phone manufactureres will launch the replacement model for a certain model a year after the launch, with the exception for Samsung phones of course. So no worries on buying the current Z1 Compact now.
