Sorry to say but sad news for Dell fans, 6150 is currently the fastest integrated GC for notebooks. 1150 is just a tuned down version of X200M, albeit its still faster than Intel GMA.

But go for the Compaq - better design, better specs (except that the Dell uses the Turion X2 56 instead of 50). Other than that, the Compaq is still cheaper for those specs. By the time u customize ur Dell to have BT, Truelife bla bla bla, it'll be close to 4000 i think.

correct...but 1 thing about dell..if u got any problem just call them they will come to ur door step..n compaq..need to bring there.. unsure.gif unsure.gif

u r correct... but 1 more thing u need 2 tink about is tat if ur dell got h/w prob, i don tink they wil change straight away for u... they wil jus collect bac n repair... but for hp, i tink they wil straight change parts for u.... correct me if i'm wrong...
*
QUOTE(dantwt @ Nov 3 2006, 03:49 PM)
no.. i dont tink so..
when u call dell tech support if u encounter any prob, they will teach u how to diagnose the prob.. then once the prob is confirm, they'll send a technician to replace the part on the spot... provided if its just a minor problem..

yup.. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif this happen to my friend dell mechine.. they change a whole unit for him..But..i ever heard some forumer ever say..dell "new" thing is refurbish from other part ..this is im not really sure..

somehow dell too easy say.."ok we change new 1 for u.."

QUOTE(maxster @ Nov 4 2006, 09:42 PM)
my company buys  a lot of dell laptops usually with Dell 3 years Complete Cover. The service is good because if there is an issue and after the technical support determine is due to faulty parts they usually do one to one exchange by the next business day.

This is actually quite good but take note that any upgrade/new parts purchased from dell would incur delivery charge...

Personally i prefer Hp over Dell for this reason.
