i played and its quite smooth.

the shared display memory is more toward intel graphics setting whereby u CANT set even in bios and display setting. Its starts from 64mb and it will go up to 256mb when ever it needs. something like that.

i played war of the ring 2, damn hot. but ok. i believe the temp is not that accurate. do keep in mind that we are using a 3rd party software to see the temp.

Any 3040 or core duo user please post your complete temp reading, idle and fully utilize proc, hdd and gpu reading. need for comparison.

Then tried calling hp-direct. I just check only 3010 and 3011au is available for now.

Im going to talk to HP people for swapping the Fujitsu hardisk.
If not then have to buy a 120GB fujitsu hardisk lor... :-P

I do agree the temp bug is kinda annoying cause we all spend 3k for this model.
I see it from HP side, most prob wdc hdd is cheaper than fujitsu so they tend to include the fujitsu with intel model which they charge more.

What we are buyers can do is, either accept it. If you wanna use the notebook for a very long time, cooling pad is the first step and then if you extra cash just find a better hdd and swap it. Keep the hot wdc as portable hdd. Most of us here are gadget freak and use a notebook for 1 year max, so it wont impact our emo and ego that much lar. :-P

No prob. For me as long I can remedy the bug without changing the whole set its good enough. Only thing is do they sell sata external hardisk casing? Or all the new one support sata 2.5 hdd?

Ma paint is bloody fine. But I have to wipe it everytime after i use it :-)

I also just play counter strike, so far max is 75c. I believe two issue that is hardisk and gpu. how ever with the fujitsu hardisk solution may able to improve the gpu.

Im using NHC 2.0 and bios 1.6. and nvidia gpu driver.

I just non stop playing War of the rings 2, this notebook rocks. Graphich temp on performance setting is 73c only using cooler. I can run normal setting with a smooth gameplay. Worth every penny I spend it to it.

Why still hesitate guys, join the club.
