the battery life for approximately 2 hours really sux, not taly with the "ultimate mobility" as its been known in the paper or ads..

but the rest, i'm happy enough..just the battery life that turned me off..sell it?..just becoz of the battery life, no way..

ok, pls advise me on how to improve the battery life..the thing in my mind rite now is, buy additional battery..but dunno how much the price, and where to buy, which battery model can fit to this laptop..3 hours battery life is ok with me, but not 2 hours..pls guys..help me..

Hi all, just got my v3010 a couple weeks back but I have this issue of my laptop freeze for no reason, at random everyday for 3 to 4 times. Using Win XP SP2 will all standard drivers installed from HP website and flashed to latest BIOS.

Called HP tech support and they suggest to reinstall my AMD drivers which reduce the frequency of the freezes but still the problem exist 

At first I though the culprit may be the extra memory I've upgraded. Ran memtest for 10+ hours and no errors. I ran on 1GB instead and still it freezes in Windows. Help 

Any suggestions will be helpful as HP tech support threw in the towel and suggest me to go to their center to troubleshoot instead. Thanks. 

Yealoh, got trade in deal so took up the offer, guess I got hasty then. You reckon its a RAM issue? Also I notice some of the time it freezes when I plugged in a USB device, sometime with that USB bluescreen error. My usb mouse would freeze but other items on the screen are moving, then after awhile it total freeze. 

i tried install bluetooth into my 3010
can use but then cannot standby the com
so i disabled the file that is disturbing
worst still now the com jams when i put on standby at the windows screen preparing to standby
so i tried unsinstall it and it jams
finally i put the driver cd back in and us the cd uninstall then baru can
can u guys tell me whats wrong, i wanna use bluetooth and also wanna use the standby function

Bought V3010 2 weeks ago. Do you guys feel any electric shock when touching somewhere nearby like the PSU port and anywhere that got metal? Its kind of irritating me.....

anyone here have a problem to update Bitdefender 9 Plus? mine V3119AU cannot update la. always problem with connection of internet. compare to my desktop, no prob at all when update the antivirus. the only option is to use AVG and others free antivirus.

Hi, need some help from the gurus here.. my fren is reformatting his Presario v3000 model v3141tu and he bought the FreeDos package.

He's installing WinXP and now after all the drivers installation.. it left 2 yellow question mark '?' at the Device Manager which is:

Network Controller?
SMI Bus?

Can anyone help guiding which driver/software to download and install for it?

Can give me more details about which and where to download the nForce chipset driver? But my fren's lappie is running Core Duo and not AMD...

I already installed most of the drivers from this page --> LINK hp-compaq Presario V3141TU drivers for Windows XP

Yet couldn't get the drivers for the 2 mentioned

just want to ask is it posssible to upgrade to 3 years warranty from a 2 months old 3010au turion x2 now?

which i bought is 1 year warranty and now use 2 months and wehat to upgarde to 3 years is possible?

The chipset driver already installed... just I have no idea what to install for the Network Controller and also no idea what's the SMI Bus...

Anyone has discovered the V3000 keyboard is not flat?

I feel that the spacebar is not flat, its a bit higher on the right part.

Moderator, please add compatibility issue: KVR 667D2S5/1G  PC5300 1GB 200pin So-DIMM modules.

It is unstable in windows when heavy disk/disc activity is present. Perfectly good CD/DVD will fail. Copying large files will cause black screen and reboot.
