Ederson – 6

Conceded goals that were as typical as they come, made crucial saves, and at times, appeared as the only saving grace at the back

Kyle Walker – 4

Spun around, outpaced and outmatched, but managed to keep Son from posing more threat.

John Stones – 5

Made crucial interceptions at the back but should have done better in the first two goals.

Manuel Akanji – 5

Unable to cope with the intensity of Spurs’ relentless attacks, was caught off-guard on a few occasions.

Josko Gvardiol – 5

Was outplayed by Dejan Kulusevski, who grew increasingly comfortable attacking down the right side as the game progressed, two mistakes leading to goals. Offered plenty of hope in attack, though.

Bernardo Silva – 5

Exceptional work rate, and yet, nothing to show for the same, ran back and forth but made no significant difference to attack or defence.

Ilkay Gundogan – 4

Struggled in his pairing with Rico Lewis, was poor in his forward passes, and barely offered help top the defensive line-up.

Rico Lewis – 4

Appeared to be somewhat nervous in the defensive midfield role, ended up being a liability for the defensive line-up.

Savinho – 5

Made impressive runs moving forward but made poor choices with his final play.

Phil Foden – 5

Tried creating multiple chances and commanded the attacks from the midfield but failed to pierce through the Spurs’ defence as often as he would have liked.

Erlin Haaland – 4

Missed several of his chances, far from his goal-scoring form for club lately.

Substitutes

Nathan Ake – 5

Replaced John Stones and found himself overwhelmed by Dominic Solanke, should have done better for the third goal.

Kevin De Bruyne – 5.5

Ignited a fire in Manchester City’s attack despite the limited presence, created chances to spark a new hope amidst his side but to no avail.

Jack Grealish – 4

Received the ball, made his runs, tricked the defenders, and nothing came of it

Ederson: Made a number of good saves that stopped the scoreline becoming a complete embarrassment for City. The only one in Blue who played well. 7

Walker: Most of the trouble came on City's other side and he deal with Son well for large parts, although guilty of sitting off for the third. 5

Stones: A difficult 45 minutes on his first league start since Wolves, and he didn't reappear after the break. Problematic for City. 4

Akanji: Couldn't stop the Spurs onslaught on that side with Gvardiol but improved in the second half. 4

Gvardiol: A poor error for the first goal, compounded by an even poorer error for the second goal. Some good attacking positions made redundant by having given the game away. 3

Gundogan: A horror show, bypassed constantly in the game and unable to get back and help. A player who used to make everything look easy is struggling badly. 3

Lewis: A lot of shouting and aggression from a player up for a scrap, but very little contribution to creating chances from midfield. 4

Silva: Plenty of running and fight, and yet still powerless to prevent City's midfield being overrun. 5

Foden: More intensity than the rest of his teammates, although his radar in front of goal still hasn't returned from last season. 5

Savinho: Started brilliantly and quickly faded fast. Bottled out of what would have been a big goalscoring opportunity to sum up his lack of final product. 4

Haaland: None of his misses were terrible but you would have expected him to score at least one of those early chances that could have changed the game. 4

Substitutes

Ake (for Stones, 46) The third goal came down his side and Solanke made life tough. 5

De Bruyne (for Savinho, 74) Good at creating chances, booked for a late tackle. 6

Grealish (for Lewis, 74) No impact. 4

GK: Ederson - 5.2/10 - Kept the score down in the first half with an excellent finger-tip stop to deny Son but didn't have much luck elsewhere.

RB: Kyle Walker - 5.5/10 - Perhaps it's time to change the name of his podcast, which is currently and inaccurately known as: You'll Never Beat Kyle Walker.

CB: John Stones - 6.5/10 - Slightly unfortunate to get hooked at half-time.

CB: Manuel Akanji - 5.4/10 - Afforded minimal protection but didn't offer much resistance himself.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - 5.6/10 - Far too flimsy in the challenge, routinely getting outmuscled by Kulusevski.

CM: Rico Lewis - 6.9/10 - A man caught between two bus stops, Lewis was neither here nor there throughout the match.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - 7.8/10 - About the only thing that Gundogan did with any urgency was point at the players he should have been marking.

CM: Bernardo SIlva - 7.3/10 - So often City's conductor in big games, Bernardo let the occasion pass him by.

RW: Phil Foden - 6.7/10 - Started the game very brightly before his influence faded just as quickly.

LW: Savinho - 6.0/10 - Awkwardly shoehorned onto the left wing for the first half, Savinho wasn't much better when he moved to the opposite flank after the break.

ST: Erling Haaland - 7.3/10 - The clinical edge that his swollen goal hauls have afforded him was blunted on Saturday - and has been for a while; Haaland has scored with just one of his last 30 shots for City.

Substitutes

SUB: Nathan Ake (46' for Stones) - 6.6/10

SUB: Kevin De Bruyne (74' for Lewis) - 6.3/10

SUB: Jack Grealish (74' for Savinho) - 5.5/10

Manager

Pep Guardiola - 3/10 - Chants of "You're getting sacked in the morning" rang around the Etihad after Spurs took a 3-0 lead. While that eventuality is effectively an impossibility, Guardiola's tactical tweaks on Saturday prompted more questions than answers.

Ederson (6/10):

Made a fine tip over from Son Heung-min and thwarted Dominic Solanke. But there was little he could do in the face of such bad defending.

Kyle Walker (4/10):

Too slow to get back for the second goal and lacked authority throughout the game.

John Stones (4/10):

Lost track of Maddison for the first goal and then left dazzled by Son's dribble and pass for the second. Taken off at half-time.

Manuel Akanji (5/10):

Made some wise interventions in the first half to prevent the scoreline getting even worse.

Josko Gvardiol (3/10):

Let Kulusevski get away before the first goal then gifted Spurs the second by surrendering the ball. Tried to make amends in attack but it was just not his day.

Bernardo Silva (5/10):

Part of the general problem in midfield of a lack of power but showed some belief in the second half.

Ilkay Gundogan (4/10):

Slow and ineffective. Couldn't give the team any control in midfield.

Rico Lewis (4/10):

Couldn't handle the electric Kulusevski. Booked for showing his frustration with an aggressive foul on Maddison.

Savinho (3/10):

Made one exciting run to tee up Haaland in the opening minutes but that was it. His final ball was poor and at times looked like he was not giving his all.

Erling Haaland (3/10):

Was too slow when receiving a pass from Savinho, seeing his shot blocked by Ben Davies. That set the tone for a woeful evening in front of goal, taking seven shots but only finding the target twice.

Phil Foden (4/10):

Looked sharp at the start but then faded and couldn't get a grip on the game.

Subs & Manager

Nathan Ake (5/10):

Easily beaten by Solanke for the third goal.

Kevin De Bruyne (7/10):

Gave the team a bit of a spark, setting up a couple of chances.

Jack Grealish (6/10):

Added some energy and effort.

Pep Guardiola (4/10):

Might be regretting signing that new contract as he has a huge rebuild on his hands. Can point to injuries but his team just do not look like their usual selves.

Ederson-6/10: Could do little about any of Tottenham’s goals and made several decent saves.

Kyle Walker-3/10: Another poor game from Walker. Given a torrid time by Son and he doesn’t look anywhere near it at the moment. He was beaten for pace for Tottenham’s fourth by Timo Werner and that says it all about Walker’s play right now.

John Stones-5/10: He looked like a player who has been out with injury. Looked well off it but wasn’t helped by City’s poor midfield.

Manuel Akanji-5/10: Akanji tried hard all game, but like Stones, he looked short of a gallop.

Josko Gvardiol-4/10: Not his best display. He was at fault for both of James Maddison’s goals, and his performance wasn’t at his usual high standards.

Rico Lewis-4/10: He toiled away in midfield but he was brushed aside by Tottenham’s midfield. But he wasn’t City’s worst player on the night.

Ilkay Gundogan-4/10: Played in a deeper midfield role and couldn’t keep up with Tottenham’s midfield. His lack of pace is becoming a major concern.

Bernardo Silva-4/10: Bernardo tried hard but didn’t affect the game like he would’ve liked. By the end of the game he cut a frustrated figure

Phil Foden-4/10: Foden couldn’t get into the game like many of his teammates. He needs to lift like so many of his teammates.

Savinho-4.5/10: Started the game brightly but drifted out of the game. He did, however, pull out of a challenge with Vicario in a moment that stood out in the first half. He must eradicate that from his game.

Erling Haaland-4/10: Haaland spurned several opportunities, and if he could’ve taken one of his early chances, the game could’ve played out differently. Not his day.

Substitutes

Nathan Ake-5/10: Came on at halftime and tried hard at the back. Of all three of City’s centre-backs, he looked the best of all three.

Kevin De Bruyne- N/A: He was City’s most creative player in the twenty minutes he was on the pitch. That says it all really.

Jack Grealish- N/A: Not on long enough to mark but it was good to see him back on the pitch.

Ederson – 5.5

Couldn’t do anything about their first but should have stopped the ball going across goal for the second. Got beat to the ball for the third.

Rico Lewis – 6.5

Provided the energy in midfield and was okay defensively.

Manuel Akanji – 6.5

Solid at the back. Did his job well.

Nathan Ake – 6.5

Unlucky not to score in the first half. Defended well.

Josko Gvardiol – 3

Came forward to help Grealish and create overloads. His poor back pass lead to their goal.

Ilkay Gundogan – 7.5

Fortunate his strike went in and played a key through ball in the buildup to the third goal.

Bernardo Silva © – 7

Effective around the box and worked nicely on the right side.

Matheus Nunes – 7

Confident when driving forward and played a great ball for Haaland’s second goal.

Jack Grealish – 6.5

Still coming to fitness after his long spell out. Struggled to make an impact in the final third.

Phil Foden – 6.5

Always in pockets and looking to create. Didn’t receive much of the ball however.

Erling Haaland – 9

Strong performance from him and was very effective in the box. Great intelligence to make the run for his second goal.

Substitutes:

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey – 4.5

Conceded three goals after his introduction.

James McAtee – 5

Failed to grasp the game and City lost control of the game.

Kevin De Bruyne – 7

Creative genius as always and looked a threat every time he got the ball.

Ederson: Alert when he needed to be, keeping his cool whenever there was a slip from his defenders until he ruined it by charging out rashly for the third. 5

Lewis: Earned Guardiola's frustration early on and while he was much improved on Saturday he still could not prevent the equaliser. 5

Akanji: Made a few errors that nearly let Feyenoord in but is surely nailed for a start at Anfield on the basis he can play 90 minutes. 5

Ake: A welcome sight on the pitch, even if he hasn't completed 90 minutes yet this season. 6

Gvardiol: Another two errors leading to goals won't do his confidence any good. 4

Gundogan: Scored one and helped tee another one up, but he remains a worry defensively in the holding role. 6

Nunes: Quiet in the first half but stepped up and was excellent for the third goal, bringing energy and a directness. 7

Foden: Worked hard and linked well but still isn't doing enough - and what he can do - in the final third. 6

Silva: Not a standout again but nobody else in the team can move so seamlessly from defensive midfield to right wing in a matter of days. 7

Grealish: Unlucky when Foden diverted his volley wide and a decent performance on his return, although he still looks destined not to score. 6

Haaland: Saw a header bounce off the post, kept his cool for the penalty and looked more confident with a classy third. 8

Substitutes

Simpson-Pusey (for Ake, 68) Not a great part in the Feyenoord goal. 5

De Bruyne (for Foden, 69) Plenty of glimmers but nothing came off. 6

McAtee (for Gundogan, 69) Charged about without much luck and was booked. 5

Ederson (4/10):

Stood tall to trap Paixao's effort but appeared to take his eye off the ball late in the game. A tad slow when he tried to halt Hadj-Moussa and didn't guard his post properly in the build-up to the second before being at fault for the equaliser.

Rico Lewis (5/10):

Was having a more comfortable evening than in recent weeks, shuttling between defence and midfield with ease, but he was overwhelmed at the end.

Manuel Akanji (5/10):

Crossed when Haaland's header hit the post. Part of the general defensive shoddiness towards the end.

Nathan Ake (6/10):

City missed his physical presence when he was taken off with 21 minutes to go

Josko Gvardiol (4/10):

Made a couple of good recovery runs but one weak ball to Foden that was intercepted was a sign he was lacking concentration, and he made his worst blunder of a bad week to gift Feyenoord a way back in to the game.

Bernardo Silva (5/10):

Couldn't impose himself on the game.

Ilkay Gundogan (5/10):

Still looks uncomfortable as the main holding midfielder, but at least he scored.

Matheus Nunes (7/10):

Had a lively game, making an important block in the first half and setting up Haaland's second goal. Created another chance which Grealish should have done better with.

Phil Foden (5/10):

Uninspiring once more. Blocked Grealish's shot and saw his own strike tipped around the post.

Erling Haaland (8/10):

A handful: hit the post, won the penalty and scored twice. Deserved much better.

Jack Grealish (5/10):

Not an encouraging return at all. Wasted a great chance to make it 4-0 and then had a shot deflected onto the bar at the end.

Subs & Manager

Kevin De Bruyne (5/10):

Offered some flair but not enough intensity.

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey (5/10):

Too inexperienced to see the game out.

James McAtee (5/10):

Couldn't link up properly with his team-mates and scuffed his one chance.

Pep Guardiola (4/10):

Looked furious at the end, but it was partly his fault for making so many substitutions, which indicated he thought the game was over. Instead, the disease has spread even further.

Ederson- 4/10: Could do little about Feyenoord’s first goal. But his efforts for their second and third left a lot to be desired. A poor night for the usually reliable Ederson.

Rico Lewis-6/10: He played well but then was helpless like his teammates when the late collapse occurred.

Manuel Akanji- 6/10: When paired with Ake he played well. But, like Lewis was helpless to prevent City’s late collapse. He neededgame’sffer more leadership in the games closing stages.

Nathan Ake-7/10: A composed performance from Ake. Looks to be returning to full fitness and that is crucial for Manchester City.

Josko Gvardiol- 3/10: His first half was brilliant as he made several key interceptions. But that was undone in the second half as he made two errors that let Feyenoord back in the game. He must improve his concentration quickly.

Ilkay Gundogan-7.5/10: Gundogan got caught in possession a few times in the first half, but his second-half performance was the Gundogan we all know. His goal should do his confidence the world of good. A positive performance from Gundogan.

Bernardo Silva- 6.5/10: He was dangerous in the first half but faded out of the game after City went 3-nil up. Bernardo will be fuming as City’s captain on the night with what occurred late.

Matheus Nunes- 7.5/10: A quality display from Nunes. He added energy to City’s midfield and picked up an assist for Haaland’s second of the night. Must start against Liverpool.

Phil Foden-7/10: Much better from Foden. His touch was there in a lively display. He had one shot well-saved, but his overall performance was good.

Jack Grealish-6/10: City were more balanced with Grealish in the starting lineup. He faded out of the game late but nearly won it when his deflected effort hit the crossbar.

Erling Haaland-8/10: Scored two and was a threat all, night. Unfortunately for Haaland his team’s defensive frailties cost them. He couldn’t do much more to lead City to a win.

Substitutes
Kevin De Bruyne- 6/10: He looked lively but he was helpless as City fell apart. He must start at Anfield as the champions lack leadership.

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey-5/10: It seems harsh on Simpson-Pusey to get a 5 but he was on the pitch for City’s collapse. That isn’t on him but he’d have hoped to be better when he came on and his rating reflects City’s late collapse.

James McAtee- 5/10: He didn’t offer a lot when he came on. That was a shame as he ne
eded to show more.

Stefan Ortega – 6

Replaced Ederson for the contest at Anfield, and unfortunately made a mistake in the second-half resulted in a Liverpool penalty. That said, the German made several crucial saves, and without him, City would have probably had to endure an embarrassing scoreline.

Kyle Walker – 2

Mistakes can be forgiven, but the captain’s unaware, nonchalant, and largely irresponsible performance in defence – and not for the first time this season – made him undoubtedly Manchester City’s weakest point.

Ruben Dias – 5.5

He was better than other Manchester City defenders until his mistake in the second-half, followed by errors from Kyle Walker and Stefan Ortega, that ultimately led to a penalty for the hosts.

Nathan Ake – 5

The Dutch international – who came in for Josko Gvardiol – prevented a goal but picked up a yellow card after committing a foul in his desperate attempt to play a ball from Bernardo Silva’s mistake.

Manuel Akanji – 4

His passes were largely misplaced from the beginning, and especially one directed at Ilkay Gundogan, who couldn’t withhold Liverpool attackers but grew better as the game progressed.

Ilkay Gundogan – 5

He struggled in the midfield and could not prevent any of the Liverpool build-ups but got better after setting in the game.

Rico Lewis – 6

He was allowed to play higher and was good with the ball despite overwhelming spells of attack. He paced through Liverpool’s midfield with the ball at his feet.

Bernardo Silva – 5

Uncharacteristically poor performance against Liverpool. His passes were largely poor, with his only memorable moment being his slight tiff with Mohamed Salah – but he would be better off forgetting the same.

Phil Foden – 5

Received a yellow card for an avoidable foul, struggled in the final third, and did almost nothing relevant.

Mattheus Nunes – 5

He struggled to find his way past the Liverpool full-backs and could not find Erling Haaland inside the box, preventing a massive goal from Cody Gakpo.

Erling Haalad – 4

Games like these scream for goalscorers; he may not have received the ball as often, but he should have done better with the chances that were created.

Substitutes

Jeremy Doku – 6

Elevating the entire Manchester City attack with his energy forced Liverpool to defend deep, which helped his other teammates to get inside the box.

Kevin De Bruyne – 5

He missed an easy goal – at least by his standards – and the one that could have been a game-changer.

Savinho – 5

He paired well with Jeremy Doku but could not replicate the latter’s flow on the pitch.

Jack Grealish – 5

Similar to his last appearance, he did not do enough to warrant a rating of his performance, although was not granted sufficient time to make too much of a difference on the contest as a whole, particularly with the scoreline at 2-0.

Ortega: A big call to start him but he justified his inclusion with several excellent saves and a presence that carried authority. 6

Walker: Lost Gakpo for the goal and guilty of a number of defensive errors and poor decisions going forward. 3

Akanji: Annoyed Guardiola early by not going forward enough but he also saw Liverpool attackers fly past him. Improved as the game went on. 5

Dias: Pitched as a great hope returning after injury but struggled to weather the early storm City were under. 5

Ake: Could have done better for the first goal, although generally did well against Salah in what was one of the most difficult tasks of the season. 5

Gundogan: Helped out by Silva at the base of City's midfield. Some of the game still went passed him but he did manage to find some control. 5

Silva: Gave the ball away to gift Salah a glorious second half chance but was otherwise one of City's better players. 5

Lewis: One of his best games for a while, showing signs of thee early-season form that brought him England recognition. 6

Foden: The story of his season: not terrible but just not what we are used to seeing. 5

Nunes: Didn't do well enough against Alexander-Arnold on he left wing, even if that is not his strongest position. 5

Haaland: Barely got a kick, but when he did there were too many heavy touches that ended City's hopes of a goal. 4

Substitutes

Doku (for Nunes, 57) Bright from the moment he came on. 7

Savinho (for Gundogan, 58) Tried to be tricky to complement Doku. 6

De Bruyne (for Lewis, 78) Missed a big chance to get one back. 5

Grealish (for Foden, 78) Did ok. 6

Stefan Ortega (5/10):

Got his first league start in the biggest game of the season and looked more solid than Ederson until he mistimed his challenge on Diaz.

Kyle Walker (3/10):

Asleep at back post when Gakpo scored and had a tough first half. Rounded off another miserable day with his howler of a clearance in build-up to the penalty.

Ruben Dias (5/10):

His return couldn't lift the defence and despite making some good blocks, he succumbed to the virus himself with his role in the litany of errors leading to the penalty.

Manuel Akanji (4/10):

Not alert enough in or out of possession. Two giveaways led to big Liverpool chances while he gave Salah too much respect for the opening goal.

Nathan Ake (5/10):

Made a good tackle on Salah and gave City a little more security down the left hand side than Gvardiol.

Bernardo Silva (5/10):

Showed signs of life in the second half but overall was underwhelming.

Ilkay Gundogan (4/10):

Overwhelmed yet again playing a holding role he's never been suited to.

Phil Foden (5/10):

Made no noticeable contribution in attack.

Rico Lewis (5/10):

Worked hard to try and keep City in the game, although he missed a huge chance to equalise, unwisely shooting with the outside of his foot.

Erling Haaland (4/10):

Got eaten alive by Van Dijk and barely got a look in.

Matheus Nunes (6/10):

Worked hard defensively to try and keep the score dignified. Booked for chopping down Alexander-Arnold and made an excellent tackle on Gakpo.

Subs & Manager

Jeremy Doku (6/10):

Looked most likely to create something.

Savinho (5/10):

Gave City more spark but struggled to add substance to his style.

Jack Grealish (5/10):

Created a couple of nice moves that came to nothing.

Kevin De Bruyne (5/10):

Should have done better after Van Dijk gifted him a shot.

Pep Guardiola (4/10):

Made two big calls by leaving out Ederson and Gvardiol and his tactics screamed damage limitation.

Stefan Ortega: 57%

The busier of the two goalkeepers, he was forced to make five saves, but ultimately conceded the penalty that led to Salah doubling Liverpool’s lead.

Nathan Aké: 57%

He intercepted the ball twice, winning back possession, and successfully made three tackles, including one crucial last-man tackle. However, the Dutch full-back rarely supported City’s attack and was frequently pinned back.

Manuel Akanji: 54%

He made an error that led to a goal, which ultimately impacted his rating, along with only winning 50% of his aerial duels.

Rúben Dias: 56%

He was kept on his toes throughout the match and was forced to make six clearances, achieving a notable retention rate of 93.1%, the highest among centre-backs in this game. However, all of that was negated as City conceded twice.

Kyle Walker: 50%

While he won three aerial duels and appeared comfortable in possession, this wasn’t the Walker of previous seasons, who seemed sluggish when the Reds frequently overloaded his area of the pitch.

Ilkay Gündogan: 59%

Made one successful interception and won possession in the midfield third on three occasions, but Gundogan was often overwhelmed.

Rico Lewis: 59%

Lewis played in yet another different position for City, but this was far from his best performance for his boyhood club. He completed one take-on as Guardiola’s starting winger and won three tackles, but he rarely contributed to the visitors’ attack, managing only one shot that was off target.

Matheus Nunes: 55%

He completed one take-on (from three attempts) while making two entries into the penalty area, but had three unsuccessful touches in a game where he created no chances or had a shot on goal.

Phil Foden: 55%

No player in a City jersey touched the ball in the opposition box more often than Foden, with six touches. However, he was still unable to get a shot on goal or create a significant chance. Furthermore, he was dispossessed a team-high three times.

Bernardo Silva: 55%

In an unfamiliar deep role, Silva won three tackles and completed two take-ons. However, he attempted two shots on goal, neither of which were on target. Although he created one chance, it would not be classified as a big chance.

Erling Haaland: 50%

He took two shots on goal, with one hitting the target. He also created a chance, but no one who started today’s game touched the ball fewer times (16).

Stefan Ortega-6.5/10: Made several crucial saves throughout the game. He was unlucky for the penalty after Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker gave away possession in such a dangerous area of the pitch.

Kyle Walker-3/10: Another poor display from Kyle Walker. He is making too many errors and it does appear that his play is affecting his teammates.

Manuel Akanji-5/10: Akanji toiled away but was guilty of giving away possession too often. He doesn’t look anywhere near fully fit.

Ruben Dias-6/10: It was good to see Dias back on the pitch. He tried to lift his team, but his error led to Liverpool’s second-half penalty. Having said that, he wasn’t poor, and his performance was one positive to take from the game.

Nathan Ake-7.5/10: Manchester City’s man-of-the-match in my opinion. Did all he could at left-back and made several crucial defensive interventions. Looks to be getting back to his best.

Rico Lewis-6/10: Can’t fault the work rate from Lewis who I thought put a shift in. It’s a shame that his more experienced teammates couldn’t match his effort.

Ilkay Gundogan-5/10: He was caught in possession too often in the first half like several of his teammates. Grew into the game after that but not his best performance.

Matheus Nunes-6.5/10: Nunes was probably City’s best player before he was substituted. Tracked back well but didn’t offer much of a threat in possession.

Bernardo Silva-4/10: A poor performance from Bernardo. He looked slow and gave away possession too often and too cheaply.

Phil Foden-4/10: A poor performance again from Foden. City needed him at his best and he couldn’t get into the game at all.

Erling Haaland-5/10: Haaland toiled away up front but he had no service at all to feed off of. A frustrating afternoon for City’s number 9.

Substitutes

Savinho-5/10: He didn’t feature prominently after coming on as most of City’s attacking play came down their left-hand side.

Jeremy Doku-6.5/10: The Belgian international became City’s most dangerous player after coming on. To his credit he tried to change the game.

Kevin De Bruyne-N/A: Had City’s best chance of game but saw his shot saved. The story for me is why didn’t De the Bruyne come on earlier.

Jack Grealish N/A: Not on long enough to mark. Although he did play a more central role so perhaps that is something for Pep Guardiola to explore.

Hmm... I thought our second half was interesting with Grealish in the middle. Thought Rico was good, despite a couple of times being out-muscled by Liverpool player. Seeing Doku back, that was good. Looked lively. Foden was a let down. No connection at all to Haaland. Bernie seems to be fading terribly. Nunes made a couple of mistakes, couldn't get pass TAA. Dias looks very fresh. Akanji doesn't look good at all. Walker, aiyayaya. His reactions are getting slower. He has the speed, but his reactions are awful.

maybe the reason are player injured, intensive schedule, player a year older, lack of hunger ,pep refuse to change tactics

but i think the most important thing is pep buy another winger instead of defensive mildfield but who knows rodri and kovacic both injured
