Ederson- 4/10: He looked nervous in goal and I thought he could’ve done better for Juve’s first goal. Not his best night.
Kyle Walker- 4.5/10: I thought for 50 minutes he looked better than he fell away. He needed to step up and failed to do so over 90 minutes. His effort to get back for Juve’s second goal was dismal.
Ruben Dias- 6/10: He tried hard but not his fault City went down. Can’t give him higher than a 6 based on what unfolded.
Josko Gvardiol- 6/10: Same as Dias. Did what he had to do but can’t give him higher than a 6.
Rico Lewis- 6/10: I feel for Lewis. He’s been asked to play a role that requires too much from a young and tired player.
Ilkay Gundogan- 6.5/10: Had his moments and saw one shot well-saved.
Kevin De Bruyne- 6.5/10: De Bruyne tried all he could to lift his team and was City’s most creative player. His final ball was just off but can’t knock his effort.
Bernardo Silva- 6/10: Toiled away and had several shots blocked but not his best day.
Jeremy Doku- 7/10: Manchester City’s most dangerous player on the night. Did all he could before being substituted. A lively display.
Jack Grealish- 6/10: Started in midfield but finished the game on the left wing before he was substituted. Did some of the midfield grunt work but didn’t offer a lot in possession.
Erling Haaland- 4/10: Had one chance all game that was well saved. But I will say he needs to do more and get more involved in games like that as he was anonymous for the majority of the game.
Substitutes
Savinho- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Matheus Nunes-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

Pep Guardiola has revealed the extent and nature of Manuel Akanji’s injury that could rule him out of the weekend’s derby day meeting with Manchester United.
John Stones remains sidelined through a foot problem, whilst Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are continuing their respective recovery processes from muscular issues, adding to Rico Lewis’ suspension endured against Crystal Palace last weekend.
Mateo Kovacic and Phil Foden are likely to be fully-available for selection having returned to matchday duties against Juventus in midweek, whilst Rodri and Oscar Bobb remain the long-term absentees.

whoops, I forgot Lewis is on red card. Anyhow, Pep seems to realise, fielding his old guards are the better choice

Player Ratings
Ederson – 6
Made an important save against Amad, comfortably distributed his long passes to reach the Manchester City attackers, and could have done better for the second goal.
Kyle Walker – 5
He had a better performance compared to recent outings, strange decision to go down and fake a head-butt from Rasmus Hojlund, and ended up with a yellow card as a result.
Ruben Dias – 6.5
Led the defensive line-up, had a solid performance at the back, and was crucial in helping City build the play from the back.
Josko Gvardiol – 7
Scored a goal and made important blocks. Struck the much-needed balance between his offensive and defensive duties.
Mattheus Nunes – 4
Huge mistake, followed by conceding the penalty. He was mainly responsible for Manchester United’s second goal, and it overshadowed everything he did right until the 85th minute.
Ilkay Gundogan – 5.5
Made a few important clearances, recovered the ball, and looked better in the defensive midfield role, still needs support.
Phil Foden – 5.5
His best performance this season looked sharp in the midfield, and he did well when floating towards the flanks.
Kevin De Bruyne – 6.5
He was massive in creating chances for Man City; he could have had a better game by his standards.
Jeremy Doku – 5
Bright with his runs? Sure. A threat? Not exactly. Couldn’t find the way past his defender and struggled to keep the ball in the final third.
Bernardo Silva – 6.5
Troubled the opponents’ defense on the right and seamlessly moved into the midfield to help build the attacks.
Erling Haaland – 5
Did not find himself at the end of many chances but did well to keep the Manchester United defense occupied with his runs, one of his better games, and looked more confident.
Substitutes
Mateo Kovacic – 5.5
Helped the defensive midfield and did well to contain a few attacks with quick ball recoveries.
Jack Grealish – 5
Replaced Jeremy Doku and helped retain the ball on the right. Tried targeting Erling Haaland inside the box but couldn’t find the Norwegian.
Savinho – N/A

Player Ratings
Ederson: A nice save from Amad's header and only took necessary risks to keep his side in the game. Distribution under pressure was good. 6
Walker: Completely needless and silly to go down so easily from Hojlund, but was part of a tight defence until the final moments. 5
Dias: Relished making his battle with Hojlund physical and had the better of it all afternoon. Helpless for the goals. 7
Gvardiol: His best game in ages, taking no chances at the back and rising highest in the opposition box for another important goal. Could he have done better for the winner? 7
Nunes: An emergency left-back, he did well for 85 minutes and then lost his head not once but twice to gift United a way back into the game. 4
Gundogan: A risk to have him as the only holding midfielder and there were times when United played through him but he worked hard to recover. 6
De Bruyne: His cross, deflected, brought the goal but he was also uncharacteristically wasteful from dead ball situations. 6
Foden: Some nice link-up play in moments but is still too much of a moments player as he starts to build up to full fitness again. 6
Silva: United struggled to contain his runs and he kept the energy in the City midfield and attack despite his lack of rest. 7
Doku: Gave the ball away in the final third, the middle third, and City's third. A difficult afternoon that involved a number of chats with Guardiola. 5
Haaland: Got no service from any teammates once again butt kept the United centre-backs occupied well. 6
Substitutes
Kovacic (for De Bruyne, 68) Gave City some welcome reinforcements when he came on. 6
Grealish (for Doku, 79) Tried to feed Haaland but no more luck. 6
Savinho (for Gundogan, 89) No time

Player Ratings
Ederson (4/10):
Back in the team but certainly did not cover himself in glory and won't want to see the second goal again.
Kyle Walker (5/10):
His most notable contribution was a risible attempt to get Rasmus Hojlund sent off in the first half. Embarrassing.
Josko Gvardiol (6/10):
Headed home the opener from De Bruyne's cross for his fourth Premier League goal of the season.
Ruben Dias (5/10):
Strong performance at the back but was caught out for the winner.
Matheus Nunes (4/10):
Badly at fault for the equaliser. His poor pass put City in trouble and then gave away the penalty with a rash challenge on Amad.
Bernardo Silva (6/10):
City's brightest midfielder but Guardiola will still want a lot more from the Portugal international. Decent enough but still looks a shadow of his former self.
Kevin De Bruyne (5/10):
Got the assist for Gvardiol's goal but it did need a hefty deflection to find the defender.
Jeremy Doku (4/10):
Flattered to deceive yet again and offered zero threat down the left flank.
Erling Haaland (4/10):
Looked frustrated throughout and was barely involved.
Phil Foden (5/10):
Went close with a deflected shot just before half-time but that was about as good as it got.
Subs & Manager
Mateo Kovacic (5/10):
Replaced De Bruyne but couldn't help see the game out.
Jack Grealish (5/10):
Given the last 15 minutes but couldn't provide a spark.
Pep Guardiola (4/10):
The nightmare continues. Looked tetchy throughout on the touchline and his mood will not be improved after seeing his team throw it away late on.

Player Ratings
Ederson- 5/10: Made one good save and could do little about the penalty from Bruno Fernandes. Perhaps should’ve done better for Amad Diallo’s winner.
Kyle Walker -5/10: His best game for some time but that isn’t saying a lot.
Josko Gvardiol-6/10: Scored City’s goal with a fine header but his effort to stop Diallo’s winner left a lot to be desired.
Ruben Dias-6.5/10: He was a leader all night at the back. Did his job without being spectacular.
Matheus Nunes-4/10: Played well until his two errors changed the entire game. Have to feel for him but in the end his errors badly cost his team.
Ilkay Gundogan-5/10: Not his best game.
Kevin De Bruyne-6/10: It was De Bruyne’s deflected cross that set up Josko Gvardiol’s opening goal. But besides that his delivery was just off and he wasn’t at his best.
Bernardo Silva-5.5/10: He had moments but like so many of his teammates, he wasn’t at his best.
Phil Foden-6/10: Had flashes of brilliance in the first half but drifted out of the game in the second half.
Jeremy Doku- 5.5/10: He had his moments, but his end product was lacking. He also gave the ball away in dangerous positions, so it wasn’t his best display.
Erling Haaland-4/10: Manchester City needed him to lead the way but he was ineffectual on the night. Not the performance his team needed.
Substitutes
Mateo Kovacic-6/10: Brought on to provide control of the midfield in the games latter stages. Ultimately it didn’t pay off as City capitulated.
Jack Grealish-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
Savinho- N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

According to GIVEMESPORT, Manchester City will consider selling out-of-favour midfield duo Matheus Nunes and Kalvin Phillips as part of their rebuild in the next summer transfer window.
Club captain Kyle Walker and legendary midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will only be handed a new contract at Manchester City if they agree to heavily reduced terms, while the latter is reportedly open to a United States switch.
