Ederson-4/10: Substituted at half-time with a shoulder injury. Ederson looked shaky in the first half before he was substituted.

Kyle Walker-5/10: Walker’s first half was poor, but he was marginally better in the second half. It was not his best day at the office.

Manuel Akanji-7.5/10: Once again was immense at the back. Is beginning to form a good partnership in defence with Nathan Ake.

Nathan Ake-8/10: The Dutch international was superb once again. He made several crucial interceptions and never put a foot wrong.

Josko Gvardiol-7.5/10: Scored City’s opener with a powerful header. Another good performance from the Croatian.

Rodri-7.5/10: Another fine display from City’s midfield general. Dictated midfield and provided a calming presence in the face of Nottingham Forest’s pressure.

Bernardo Silva-6.5/10: Not his most dynamic display, but Bernardo once again did the grunt work for his team. He gave City a more reliable option on the right wing when he was moved at half-time.

Kevin De Bruyne-8/10: Provided two assists and gave City the quality they needed. His all-around performance wasn’t his best, but he had the defining impact on the game.

Jeremy Doku-4/10: Started on the right wing but looked lost in the first half. Gave away possession to easily and looked lost when tracking back.

Jack Grealish-5/10: The England international toiled away, but like many of his teammates, he couldn’t get into the game. Was taken off at the hour mark.

Julian Alvarez-6.5/10: He once again toiled away up front. Alvarez came to life with Haaland’s introduction and looked more lively with support up front.

Substitutes

Stefan Ortega-7/10: Didn’t have a lot to do once he was introduced, but he did providing a calming influence to the City defence.

Mateo Kovacic-7/10: Besides the opening 10 minutes, he provided more control in the heart of midfield. Did exactly what Pep Guardiola brought him on to do.

Erling Haaland-8/10: The champions immediately looked a better team with Haaland’s introduction in the second half. Put away his chance when it presented itself and looks poised for a big final stage of the season.

Matheus Nunes-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.

Oscar Bobb-N/A: Not on long on enough to mark.

Ederson – 7
Didn’t have to do too much, and was unlucky to create the only Wolves goal of the game.

Kyle Walker – 7
After a shaky performance against Nottingham Forest last week, Kyle Walker looked back to his 2024 self against Wolves this time around. Let’s hope he carries it through the rest of the run-in.

Manuel Akanji – 7.5
To this day, we still cannot believe Borussia Dortmund let this man go, and only for £15 million too. He has been great since day one, and was once again flawless today.

Nathan Ake -7.5
Another game, another unsung performance, steady as always.

Josko Gvardiol – 8.5
Better and better each game, has seemingly ironed out all of his issues from earlier on in the season and is smooth as silk on the ball.

Rodri – 9
Two lovely assists. His only mistake was not realising someone was behind him in the first half, and it’s possibly the only bad thing you can say about him since the red card against Nottingham Forest. Should be the Ballon D’or winner.

Mateo Kovacic – 7
Wasn’t needed after the first half surge of goals, but helped wrangle control in the opening half.

Kevin De Bruyne – 7.5
At times he was incredibly involved, but was rarely able to actually create much. Was at his best when driving the ball at Wolves backline.

Bernardo Silva – 7
Almost had as little touches as Erling Haaland, but was great in his limited action. Was a threat down the right hand side, one of his better performances as of late.

Erling Haaland – 10 (MOTM)
And just like that, any and all criticism of his season disappeared. Looked like the version of Erling Haaland we saw in the fall 2022.

Phil Foden – 7.5
Decent performance after getting shifted out to the left wing, drifted all over and was slick on the ball when rarely called upon.

Substitutes
John Stones – N/A

Jack Grealish – N/A

Jeremy Doku – N/A

Matheus Nunes – N/A

Julian Alvarez – 7
Solid goal, hope it boosts his confidence.

Player Ratings

Ederson: Abysmal for the cross that brought the Wolves goal, although did then play a part in the move that made it 4-1 seconds later. 6

Walker: A few loose moments in defence, although his forward distribution was very good to open Wolves up. 7

Akanji: In control of everything from the start, keeping City on the front foot and nipping out potential Wolves threats. 8

Ake: Solid at the back with a couple of decent interceptions, and also pushed forward well into the Wolves half. 7

Gvardiol: Keeps having an impact in the opposition box, even if it was a soft penalty. Has really grown into the role in recent months. 7

Rodri: Another top-drawer performance, with the highlight being the interception and then cross for Haaland's second. 9

Kovacic: Denied a goal by Sa in the second half but another very tidy performance that helped City to tick in midfield. 7

De Bruyne: Wasteful when City worked good opportunities on more than one occasion, but also had his moments of quality. 7

Silva: Excellent at the start, driving at his full-back at every opportunity and showing real menace. Faded in the second half with the job done. 8

Foden: A lovely ball to Haaland for the fourth. He will feel like he could have been involved more, although still a positive evening. 7

Haaland: Unrivalled, uncontrollable, unbeatable. A masterclass from City's No.9 that the crowd lapped up. 9

Substitutes
Stones (for Ake, 68) A solid return after not being seen since the Chelsea semi that he limped out of. 7

Grealish (for Foden, 81) Guardiola wanted more forward intent. 6

Nunes (for De Bruyne, 81) Involved for the fifth. 6

Doku (for Silva, 81) Some bright running. 7

Alvarez (for Haaland, 83) Scored within minutes of coming on. 7

GK: Ederson - 5/10 - Largely uninvolved but should have done so much better with the cross for Hwang's goal.

RB: Kyle Walker - 6/10 - Not tested defensively and didn't need to bust a gut to make an impact in attack either, but he did pull out the occasional stunning pass.

CB: Manuel Akanji - 7/10 - So comfortable at the back and even took the chance to involve himself in midfield as well.

CB: Nathan Ake - 6/10 - Impressed in the first half but was caught sleeping early in the second when Wolves got their goal.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - 8/10 - A relentless force down the left wing. Won the first penalty early on and simply did not stop trying to create more goals.

DM: Rodri - 9/10 - Dominated the midfield battle and picked out some excellent passes to ensure City's relentless pressure never faded. Walked away with two assists.

DM: Mateo Kovacic - 7/10 - One or two delightful passes to keep City ticking in the final third.

RM: Bernardo Silva - 7/10 - Just kept coming time and time again. His energy was simply too much for Wolves to deal with.

AM: Kevin De Bruyne - 6/10 - Surprisingly quiet in a game which City ruthlessly dominated. His final pass wasn't there.

LM: Phil Foden - 7/10 - Didn't get into this game as much as you would have expected but still dazzled with a lovely pass for Haaland's fourth goal.

ST: Erling Haaland - 11/10 - Ruthless. Relentless. This was Haaland at his terrifying best.

Substitutes
SUB: John Stones (69' for Ake) - 6/10

Player Ratings

Ederson (4/10):
Made a quick return after hurting his shoulder last week but looked a little shaky, flapping at the cross which led to Wolves' goal.

Kyle Walker (6/10):
Commanded the defence expertly for most of the game although he could have done more to block Hwang's goal.

Manuel Akanji (7/10):
His frequent trips into midfield gave City total control of the game.

Nathan Ake (6/10):
Physically dominant.

Josko Gvardiol (7/10):
Keeps improving and becoming more and more involved in attacking moves. Earned the first penalty.

Bernardo Silva (7/10):
His incisive dribbling and passing always had Wolves on the back foot.

Rodri (6/10):
Looked fresher than in recent weeks and always in control of the game. His cross set up Haaland's header.

Mateo Kovacic (6/10):
Helped Rodri out with defensive duties, allowing the Spaniard more freedom to roam.

Kevin De Bruyne (6/10):
Wanted to get more involved than he did but still contributed to the mauling.

Erling Haaland (10/10):
Back to doing what he does best: scoring a bucket-load of goals. He now has 25 for the Premier League season.

Phil Foden (7/10):
The second most dangerous player behind Haaland and after many attempts he served him the fourth goal with a lovely through ball.

Substitutes

John Stones (6/10):
Got some much-needed minutes after missing too much of the season with fitness problems.

Matheus Nunes (5/10):
Should have done better with his attempt on goal against his former club.

Jack Grealish (6/10):
Had an easy task but did everything right.

Jeremy Doku (N/A):
Looked lively but didn't get enough power on his one effort on goal.

Julian Alvarez (N/A):
Only had seven minutes on the pitch but it was enough to score.

Manager

Pep Guardiola (7/10):
It was an easy-looking fixture but he made sure his side did not take it easy and once the job was done, he flooded the pitch with substitutes to keep his charges sharp for Fulham next week.

Ederson – 7
Rarely ever required to make a contribution with his hands, and equally scarce was any pressure on his footwork.

Manuel Akanji – 7.5
Switched seamlessly from a raiding role on the right flank to a dominant showing through the middle. Missed a sitter in the first half.

Ruben Dias – 8
Back into the lineup and back commanding the defence. Handled the threat of Muniz with utter professionalism.

Nathan Ake – 6.5
Made a couple of decent clearing headers in the early stages, before being forced off with what looked like a reoccurrence of the problem he had last week against Wolves.

Josko Gvardiol – 9 (MOTM)
Not content with becoming a natural in his adoptive home at left-back, Gvardiol is now coming for Haaland’s job as the main man on the scoring front! Grabbed two well-taken goals and showed off his technical prowess too.

Rodri – 8.5
Dominant as ever in the midfield, complemented beautifully by Kovacic to never give Fulham a sniff in the middle of the park.

Mateo Kovacic – 8
Doubled up as an anchor for whenever Rodri fancied a meander forwards, as well as pressing tirelessly.

Bernardo Silva – 8
Came in from the right flank to link all of City’s play, whilst providing a cutting edge too to assist the third goal.

Kevin De Bruyne – 8
Always the man City look to to lead them on the attacking front, and he did so to set up Gvardiol’s first and produce a number of other chances for his teammates.

Phil Foden – 8
Had impetus every time he got on the ball, looking to make a difference and shooting where possible. Added another fine goal to his collection for the season.

Erling Haaland – 7
Couldn’t increase his Premier League goal tally but aided the team’s cause with a series of nice pieces of holdup play.

Substitutes

Kyle Walker – 7
Solid going both ways after his early introduction.

Jeremy Doku – 7
Came on and did what he does, putting fear into the hearts of defenders with his running.

Rico Lewis – 7
Baited the press and manipulated the ball impressively.

Oscar Bobb – 7
Went on a few trademark mazy runs.

Julian Alvarez – 7
Remained cool to tuck home his penalty easily.

Ederson: Didn't have much to do with Fulham's attacks petering out before his goal but was alert to scramble to a Muniz effort and his passing was good. 7

Akanji: Missed a big chance at the back post to double the lead and endured a shaky start on the right but settled in the middle after Ake went off. 7

Dias: Terrific all afternoon, always making himself in the right place to intercept Fulham's attacks before they could get to Ederson. 8

Ake: Hurt something as he stretched to cut out another counter that City were exposed to in the opening 20 minutes and didn't last much longer. 6

Gvardiol: Gave the ball away more than Guardiola would like but also scored two terrific goals, which Guardiola will like a lot. 8

Rodri: Another performance that makes a mockery of his Premier League snub, controlling the midfield with ease and dropping back to help in defence. 8

Kovacic: Excellent again, linking patiently with Rodri but also capable of pulling out a quick punt forward to Haaland. 8

De Bruyne: Strong runs through the middle of the pitch that we are so used to seeing with him, helping City on their way with the assist for the first goal. 7

Silva: A quiet first half but came into his own in the second and was instrumental in helping City to end the game as a contest. 8

Foden: Wasn't on the same wavelength as Gvardiol for much of the game but scored when it mattered. 7

Haaland: Very impressive with his general play but missed a number of good chances that he should have buried. 6

Substitutes

Walker (for Ake, 22): Settled straightaway into the team and helped another clean sheet for the team. 7

Doku (for De Bruyne, 75) A few promising runs and one fierce shot that was well saved. 7

Lewis (for Kovacic, 82) Almost got himself on the scoresheet but teed up Alvarez. 7

Alvarez (for Haaland, 82) Won and scored the penalty. 7

Bobb (for, Foden, 82) A quick cameo. 6

GK: Ederson - 6/10 - A spectator from start to finish in what was one of his easiest games in a Man City shirt.

RB: Manuel Akanji - 7/10 - Moved to centre-back after the introduction of Kyle Walker during the first half and was solid up against Fulham's bulky centre-forwards.

CB: Ruben Dias - 7/10 - A commanding display at the back and helped completely nullify the hosts.

CB: Nathan Ake - 6/10 - Lasted just 20 minutes before being withdrawn through injury. Perhaps his final game of the season.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - 9/10 - What on earth has happened to Gvardiol? He now has five goals in his last seven games and he took his first effort at Craven Cottage like prime Robert Lewandowski.

CM: Rodri - 9/10 - Another imperious display from the Spaniard who dictated the tempo of the game under admittedly little pressure. Hoovered the ball up on the rare occasions that Fulham got forward.

CM: Mateo Kovacic - 7/10 - Offered good balance in central areas and worked hard to reclaim possession for the Cityzens as quickly as possible

RM: Bernardo Silva - 8/10 - A delicate display from the Portuguese who set up Man City's second and third. Such a wonderful footballer to watch.

AM: Kevin De Bruyne - 7/10 - Supplied Gvardiol for the opener and looked deadly in the final third, even if his final pass wasn't always bang on.

LM: Phil Foden - 7/10 - Got his goal after a frustrating first half in which he couldn't get too involved. A smart finish sealed the points at a crucial moment.

ST: Erling Haaland - 6/10 - Squandered his big chance after an hour, one he usually scores 99 times out of 100, and wasn't very involved elsewhere.

Substitutes
SUB: Kyle Walker (21' for Ake) - 7/10 - Thrown into the mix earlier than expected and performed admirably in a solid defence.

SUB: Jeremy Doku (75' for De Bruyne) - 7/10

SUB: Oscar Bobb (81' for Foden) - 6/10

SUB: Rico Lewis (81' for Kovacic) - 6/10

SUB: Julian Alvarez (81' for Haaland) - 7/10

Manager
Pep Guardiola - 9/10 - An effortless and straightforward afternoon for his players, who waltzed to a comfortable and crucial victory. Pure domination.

Ederson (5/10):
Barely had to do anything in the first half but did well to thwart Rodrigo Muniz for what was Fulham's first attempt of the game.

Josko Gvardiol (9/10):
In insatiable goalscoring form, with more league strikes than Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku. Also excellent in linking defence and attack.

Nathan Ake (5/10):
Forced off in the first half with an injury.

Ruben Dias (8/10):
Superb on the ball and astute defending the very few attacks City had to face, heading one dangerous ball away before half-time.

Manuel Akanji (5/10):
Missed an absolute sitter, side-footing over when he should have used his head. Otherwise fine without standing out.

Bernardo Silva (8/10):
Contributed to the midfield dominance and got two assists to boot.

Rodri (8/10):
Controlled the game in his usual manner and looks set to end the season unbeaten as well as with another league title.

Mateo Kovacic (8/10):
Took on lots of responsibility with the ball and ensured City monopolised possession.

Kevin De Bruyne (7/10):
Set up the first goal and was always looking to create danger.

Erling Haaland (5/10):
Had a quiet game and will be disappointed he couldn't get on the scoresheet but he did use his strength to keep Fulham at bay.

Phil Foden (7/10):
Stroked the loose ball into the net to bag his 25th goal of the season. Also created lots of space for his team-mates.

Subs
Kyle Walker (6/10):
Called on early due to Ake's injury and made sure City were always in charge, barely giving Fulham a sniff.

Jeremy Doku (6/10):
Looked lively in his 15 minutes on the pitch despite taking a knock.

Rico Lewis (N/A):
Worked hard defensively even though the game was practically won when he came on with eight minutes left.

Julian Alvarez (N/A):
Brought on in the 82nd minute and had his usual impact, winning and scoring the penalty for goal number four.

Oscar Bobb (N/A):
Came on in the 82nd minute and moved the ball about with his usual intelligence and confidence.

Manager
Pep Guardiola (7/10):
Could have been a banana skin but came up with a possession-heavy game-plan to ensure Fulham never stood a chance.

Ederson – 6
Played okay before coming off. Distributed well.

Josko Gvardiol – 7
Really grown into the City team of late and looks powerful on the ball. Is a threat at the back post.

Ruben Dias – 4
One of his poorer games in a City shirt and misplaced a few too many passes.

Manuel Akanji – 5.5
Nearly gave the lead away after Son nicked the ball off him but was okay apart from that incident.

Kyle Walker – 7
Was a threat on the right in the first-half, just lacked the end product.

Rodri – 8
Mr Calm. Had a much better second-half than the first and dictated the game.

Mateo Kovacic – 7
Had a relatively quiet game but did his job effectively and managed the midfield.

Bernardo Silva – 7
A handful on the edge of the box for any defence and retained the ball in their third.

Kevin De Bruyne – 8
Tremendous assist and was always looking to make a breakthrough when he was on the pitch.

Phil Foden – 8
Played a key role in the winning of the penalty and wears the City shirt with pride.

Erling Haaland – 9
The difference maker in the big game. Scores goals when City need him most.

Substitutes:
Jermey Doku – 8
Lightening quick on the left and won the penalty for the second goal.

Stefan Ortega Moreno – 8
Made some superb saves off the bench and may have saved the game after Son’s chance.

Julian Alvarez – 6
Wasn’t on the pitch for long enough to make an impact but did his job.

Ederson: Wasn't happy to come off but took a serious blow from Romero and couldn't be risked. Did well before that. 7

Walker: Got into some promising areas high up the field but unusually didn't look to shoot. Kept busy on Son Watch at the other end. 7

Dias: A shaky performance, making uncharacteristic errors that put City in more danger than they needed to be in. 5

Akanji: Solid enough, aware of the danger in behind and making sure City weren't caught out by the speedy Spurs attack - until he nearly blew it. 6

Gvardiol: Defensively improved on the weekend, even if he couldn't match his two goals. Needed a cool head and he had it. 7

Rodri: Wasn't at his best but his good is still better than most people's great, keeping City ticking along for his 73rd game unbeaten. 7

Kovacic: Guilty of losing possession too often in the first half, although never stopped battling and improved in the second half. 6

De Bruyne: Wasn't on it for much of the night, trying to find a Hollywood ball for Haaland that he never managed. Then he set up Haaland for the goal. 7

Silva: Ran and ran and ran, then ran some more. Pivotal in the goal and an important out for City all evening. 8

Foden: Didn't pull off anywhere near what he wanted to, but was always involved looking to take responsibility. His commitment helped earn the goal. 8

Haaland: A frustrated figure in the first half but came to life in the second and scored two goals to win the game. 8

Substitutes
Ortega (for Ederson, 69) Did brilliantly to save from Kulusevki early on and then a match-winner from Son. 9

Doku (for De Bruyne, 69) Changed the game by offering something different when he came on. 8

Alvarez (for Haaland, 90)

GK: Ederson - 6/10 - Hurt in a collision with Romero in the second half and though was initially fine to continue, was replaced by Ortega eventually. Beat the Spurs press with his impressive kicking.

RB: Kyle Walker - 6/10 - Pushed high into advanced areas though his final ball was seriously lacking.

CB: Ruben Dias - 5/10 - Did not play with the confidence or assurance required in a high-stakes game like this.

CB: Manuel Akanji - 5/10 - Similarly rattled from start to finish, whether in possession or out of it. Owes a debt of gratitude to Ortega for saving his skin late on.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - 6/10 - Found a new swagger in attack following his recent spate of goals, though was unable to convert on this occasion.

CM: Rodri - 6/10 - Didn't always enjoy being pressed by Tottenham but you could always depend on him to wriggle out of a sticky situation when Spurs bodies surrounded him.

CM: Mateo Kovacic - 5/10 - A level below his teammates tactically, but that's understandable given he's still in his first season in such a setup.

RW: Bernardo Silva - 6/10 - Posed a threat to Spurs in the first half but couldn't keep that up in the second.

AM: Kevin De Bruyne - 7/10 - Stifled for the most part but came up with a huge assist when City needed it. Hauled off shortly after going down in agony after a challenge to the back of the leg from Sarr.

LW: Phil Foden - 8/10 - City looked completely different when Foden was in possession, a willingness to get forward in numbers and look alive came about.

CF: Erling Haaland - 8/10 - Wasn't involved at all outside his two goals, but that's all that mattered in the end. Goals win titles.

Substitutes
SUB: Stefan Ortega (69' for Ederson) - 8/10 - Produced one of the saves of the season to potentially clinch City the title.

SUB: Jeremy Doku (69' for De Bruyne) - 8/10 - Drew the foul out of Porro for the penalty that iced the game.

SUB: Julian Alvarez (90' for Haaland) - N/A

Manager
Pep Guardiola - 6/10 - City collectively lacked composure and their usual mental resilience, which seemed so odd given their usual performances down the stretch of seasons.

Ederson (7/10):

Made a couple of important stops when Spurs were threatening early on. Frustrated to be subbed, but head injuries must be treated with caution.

Kyle Walker (6/10):

Was afforded plenty of space down the right-hand side, but did not always make the most of it.

Manuel Akanji (5/10):

Fluffed a clearance to give Kulusevski a sight at goal in the second half and was also at fault for Son's chance.

Ruben Dias (5/10):

A couple of sloppy moments, including a potentially costly slip in the closing stages.

Josko Gvardiol (6/10):

Pretty good in both directions. Might have done better with a first-half chance on the volley.

Rodri (6/10):

Shut down pretty effectively in the first half as Tottenham attempted to flood the midfield. Grew into things.

Mateo Kovacic (6/10):

Sprayed a couple of really impressive passes, though looked a little lightweight at times.

Kevin De Bruyne (7/10):

Provided a much-needed moment of inspiration and was subbed off soon after with the final day of the season in mind.

Bernardo Silva (7/10):

Did well to release De Bruyne in the lead-up to the goal. Linked up well with Walker at times.

Erling Haaland (7/10):

Barely touched it, but of course he scored from a De Bruyne assist. Converted the pressure penalty too.

Phil Foden (6/10):

Ran down a couple of dead ends. Definitely not his best game of the season.

Substitutes
Stefan Ortega (8/10):
Made a huge save to prevent Kulusevski seconds after coming on and then prevented Son in the dying stages. Some cameo from the bench.

Jeremy Doku (7/10):
Drew the foul for the penalty.

Julian Alvarez (N/A):
On for the final few minutes.

Manager
Pep Guardiola (6/10):
His side seemed to struggle with Spurs' approach in the first half, but they got the job done. His ability to breed a winning mentality is quite incredible.
