What kind of sickness? There is no official new of the Health Ministry about any new pandemic. I think it is of because of the La Nina affecting the weather. Yeah, my cousin has cough and light fever. He got off after seeing doctor and taking some medication.
Tips: see a doctor. Aspirin and acetaminophen (Panadol) is not really for curing fever |

acetaminophen aka paracetamol
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetaminophen panadol doesnt contain aspirin. paracetamol is one of the most commonly prescribed medication for treatment of fevers, surely thousands of doctors cant be wrong. |

i think its because of the weather recently + world cup fever + lots of late nights + no sleep + late night gathering ( spread the viruses faster as there are gatherings at mamaks for WC games)....these are a FULL PACKAGE to these illness.....80% of my colleague got these symptoms for the past 2 weeks....i guess there are notmuch differences in other places....take more rest and vitamins.....that should boost up our body's immune system...cheers

Stay up late order dominos to makan, and now smog from Indonesian volcanos. And the heat from the last week.Plus the common crappy Malaysian diet laden with trans fats and a ton of carbs and loads of sugar. Equals low resistance. Equals sniffles and fevers. |

then why say panadol is not for curing fevers, granted curing is probably not possible as fevers in general are symptoms, but panadol is an effective treatment for fevers.
anyway misunderstanding i guess, when you said: QUOTE Aspirin and acetaminophen (Panadol) i thought you meant both were in panadol. |

Hmm... all seem to be forms of upper respiratory infection symptoms... perhaps flu/cold seasons... spread of rhinoviruses... or etc... and perhaps due to the airborne viruses? infections easily taking place, weather is warm, body easily dehydrated, need to take in H2O more frequently; vitamin c, pure water, chicken soup, fresh fruit juice, warm water, rest well, relax, be happy-don't worry... to fight cold/flu...

Go for long term cardiovascular exercises, enough sleep and water. It will cure very soon.
Avoid taking drugs such as antibiotics, panadols and cough syrups unless you're in danger state such as high fever. You can take medical leave but just the leave only, put the medicine behind. Instead, take more vitamins. |

cough + fever are symptoms of catching cold.. most probably is the frequent change of weather.. like nuox said, hot, suddenly cold...
cough, nothing much u can do.. it is a self-limiting disease, means it will cure by itself.. those medication are symptoms reliever only.. fever, if really feel uncomfortable, u can get panadol as it hv anti-pyretic effect, reduce fever.. and keep hydrated, avoid get wet by rain, vitamin c... |

most medications risk liver damage after prolonged long term use. if you use it for a week every year you'll be fine. if you're popping panadols 4 times a day for 365 days a year for 10 years then yes you'll probably be screwed.
you risk lung cancer everyday you walk outside in kl with all the 2nd hand smoke and exhaust fumes, yet noone seems to care right? did you know that you're at greater risk of cancer at any one day from the daily kl enviroment than you are liver damage from continuesly popping panadols? |
