Thanks

Very informative.

But why is it that we're given the choice to adjust it? laugh.gif

the new elantra is so nice!

1.6 turbo handles extremely well and is powerful even without sport mode. love the paddle shifters

the 2.0 cruises so comfortably. superb for families.

very different type of driving experience.

launch will be on 8 june!

would love to drive my elantra to test drive the new elantra laugh.gif

so it seems like someone messed with my ECU at the service center

after another "trusted" official mechanic that i talked to (usually deal with him)

he helped me reset my ECU and now my car runs fine once again!

hey guys

my elantra has engine mount issues (car starts to vibrate)

is it recommended to replace it completely? (got quoted 1000++) for this

is it something that just a bolt nut and screw back tighter will do?

or its more complicated than that and recommended to replace it?

official service center though

just asking as i dont wanna blindly pay 1000++ if its just screwing it tighter again lol

Mind to share your mileage? Is the vibration more apparent when idling on D ?
*
Now its at 108k

Yeap

When it's on D, it's shaking quite bad on the left mount

According to the service center

Left mount already spoil while middle and right mount still ok

Is yours facing the same issue as well?

I see. My 2013 1.6 only 75k km. I felt some minor resonance on D but still not that annoying until make the interior rattles like old car. Maybe still early to change.  Btw my car is not elantra, just same heart as elantra. Hehe.
*
what car? hmm.gif

hmm mine started around 100k

thinking to change haha

mounting just cost you around 500 for one whole set. try go for other workshop instead of service centers for a quote.
*
wow really?

damn, i guess official will always be more expensive

in that case ok! yeap i think i'll go directly to the workshop and see how much they quote me nod.gif

thanks for the heads up!

if not i'd blindly have to pay extra 500 sweat.gif

hi guys

quick question

how many engine mount does our Elantra have?

is it 3?

as i have googled around, it seems that even on youtube it only shows how to replace the top mount

is there another bottom mount that is harder to reach?

my left side is vibrating quite badly now

im considering to replace at official SC

but if would be great if there's another cheaper alternative - location KL/PJ (is it reliable?)

or better go back official SC for engine related matters?

thanks!

so i got my engine mounting replaced

so far so good nod.gif

now i have another question.

for the engine hose repairs.. have anyone done it yet?

the official SC told me mine start to kembang liao

"can still drive but when crack, we dont know".. thats what they told me

so their advise is to repair it ASAP

now im just wondering.. if the hose is kinda "hard" already when its pressed/squeezed, is considered serious enough to change? hmm.gif

i was thinking to change it early as to avoid any engine damage.. since, if engine is damage. its gonna cost way more to repair lol

hi,

does any elantra 2012/2014 owner (bottom AC) mod their car radio player before?

to the android version?

is 2gb enough for waze and spotify?

seems like there's a big difference between 2gb and 4gb in terms of pricing

can see 2gb costs around 350-500 while additional to 4gb suddenly jacked up to 900-1200
