my 20k km service coming soon, anyone care to share their experience in term of prices, item that need inspection, changes or top up? the ride is getting ridiculously absurd. feel as if i ride on a car without absorber as i drive to work through "pothole-ish" road. wonder any other owner of HE having this kind of suspension as i do? i saw on facebook, one of the owner installed suspension spring buffer, anyone installed it? does it help with the ride quality?

Is there anyone have change their stock suspention to H&R spring n KYB absorber.
Can i know is there any improvement on this.
Now i  feel swing like a sampan on my car.
Or other solution for this problem.

Btw i already done the anti roll bar on my car n spring buffer on it.

i just happened to have the worst of luck and got my tail light cracked (not the whole thing)

just the outer right piece

both rear and brake lights are still working though.

may i know how much does it cost for me to get a replacement?

I always advise my customers this during new car delivery:

Always ask the service advisor to explain and list what they will do and charge BEFORE leaving the counter. Make sure they do not do additional that isnt compulsory.
After do baru ask, angry also too late d.

Service centres also have their sales quotas to meet, so if you dont want certain things unnecessarily done or added into your bill, stop them. If they claim is compulsory because hq says must do, ask for memo. If they can explain why it is important to add this or that, and you can accept it, then at least you are aware.

my 1.3 myvi was about 280 per normal sv... and that was before gst was implemented...
my fiesta now is also about 300 per normal sv...

so if u ask me, i think 342 for an elantra is ok

Rm50k myvi with not much features charged me rm280 for sv.
Broken bumper clip charge me rm6.
Void my warranty bcos i missed 1 sv (which the sc sendiri asked me to delay bcos 6 months baru jalan 4kkm). U think that's fair? I was so fed up with perodua, i sold the car off and bought a fiesta. Now my 2 year old fiesta value is down by half bcos of the faulty dry clutch. What to do? My own backside itchy buy fiesta in the first place. Fiesta sv around 300. Pay only lor. I want the warranty ma. I can opt to sv outside if i dont care about the warranty.

I used to sell citroen and ssangyong. Normal sv rm500+. Spare parts mark up 200%. What about that? Should my customers bang table and not sv at citroen anymore bcos their sv cost is unfair?

Go survey market. See other makes charge how much. You will be surprised to find out that hyundai maintenance is not as expensive as you think.

my i40 service fee is the most expensive in hyundai ( dun say genesis not common in market)
although i hyundai SA but i service car no even got 1% discount
my labour charge is double of elantra

but why i dint say SC chop me? bcoz i understand wat is business....

i still service on SC although is damn expensive than elantra

why? bcoz of warranty~ i dun wan have any trouble and dun wan void the warranty

as consumer u got right to do ur own decision

Dear Elantra owners,

May i check if anyone has experienced jerky transmission during low rpm (1-2k) and low speed (20-40 kmh) e.g. slow traffic during jam? The jerk is subtle and something like transmission hesitation. The issue is irregular so it is very difficult to tell the SA. Sometimes, it happened early in the morning, sometimes when the engine is hot (1hr drive or more).

My elantra has been having this problem recently. Sent to Glenmarie few times but problem persists.

They changed spark plugs and tuned to factory but problem persists irregularly.

Appreciate your inputs on how to solve this. Thanks.
