QUOTE(TitanRev @ Jan 21 2014, 01:56 PM)
Because words are hard to describe everything...on the careful part of course la....I hand you the key means I trust you that you won't wreck my car.....I don't simply pass my car keys to ppl one. If I do, you should feel proud because I trust you and your driving skills.
*
QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 21 2014, 01:59 PM)
If wanna test drive other peoples car then should be deciplined lo.... Treat the drive as you are caring for other peoples car, not test drive showroom cars... Lol
*
QUOTE(TitanRev @ Jan 21 2014, 02:01 PM)
Yes, correct. That's why I don't like those who given keys to other ppl's car then drive like they stole it....or whack until tak tau macam mana....unless the owner give you permission to do so.....
*
yes, agreed, words are difficult to describe the buttdyno.
one can only get so much by words, to get more, need to feel it ownself.

but even if owner give permission I would not whack it because its not a car that I have been driving daily.
I wont know for sure the limits and behaviours of the car.
hence, most times, even given a chance, I would not drive another person's car for test drive / normal drive / whacking purposes; simply put in short, it's not a car I am familiar with.

Since I just came back from Ipok,
just to ask gaga ppl here, have you guys tried hitting the NS haiway (from KL going north) with
- gaga 15" tyre, profile 50
- FLX or BLM with modded saspensions
- FSB, RSB, ARB installed (or more bars)

if any, how's the feeling ?

I did not enjoy the ride at all. The NS highway from KL going up north simply just filled with bad road conditions, potholes and those "longkang".
Steering vibrate until as if its fapping.
My back bone stiffen up after each trip.

Too many bars, no places for the parts to flex hence rolleyes.gif

ini sebab kena advert dan buat promo sikit la. .
u ingat korang buat advert atau promo memang nak jual barang / servis dengan murah murah ke. .
tapi sebenarnya dia orang nak buat sebab nak orang awam tau dia mia barang / servis.
kalau orang awam rasa baik atau suka dengan kedai tu, dia akan balik sana dan beli lagi.
mula mula rugi sikit, tapi akan untung balik in the long run. . tapi dengan kondisen u mia barang / servis memang bagus la

ehh,,, i going south no problem...lolx but 14" rim with stock suspension

go south I not sure. .coz i don go south biggrin.gif
recent years, the only south I went is Malacca but that's using Seremban highway which is way much more better than NS.

deswai I specify 15", profile 50
14", profile 60 should be way more comfortable
even 15", profile 55 is still ok I guess.
but with my stock 15", profile 50", M5 some more, i wan vomit blood doh.gif
I everyday like that, I need to visit tukang urut everyday

Tyres? What tyres?  whistling.gif

hmm.gif Dunno bout that. Maybe other SE owners can verify for this.
But even is the truth also you also underinflate it and the thread will faster botak.
*
that is recommendation only la. .
200/180 kpa (29/26 psi) is too low IMO especially if u carry ppl at the back. .
220/210 or 200 kpa is sui IMO but all these subject to driver buttdyno. .
don forget, the lower pressure = the faster ur bunga dimakan

ur NT8000 15"/50 profile ?
btw becareful, after Tapah RnR, got 1 speed cam beside road shoulder. .
that stretch doing construction/maintenance works so speed limit not 110 km/h dy.

Also want to share something, I get hold of the OBD reader before I went to Ipok.
And some interesting facts that I found which I didn't know about the CBT.
On NS Haiway, on hilly slopes, from straight road u enter the hilly slopes, say 100 kph.
I can see cars (non saga) that previously maintain same car-to-car distance to me suddenly slowed down. << normal la
But my car still maintain 100kph without me stepping more on pedal.
Dashcommand showed that both the torque and fuel flow rate increases but rpm more or less stayed around the region (maybe +100-200 rpm only).
When the road goes back to straight, torque and fuel flow rate decreases, again no changes on foot force on pedal.

Be for any normal 4AT car, I would need to step more gas and force the auto tranny to drop gear and get the speed up again. .
When its up to the speed I want, it will shift up and give me the slumber vrooom again.

Impressive CBT nod.gif
Trully experienced the claim of CBT being able to deliver the required torque over wide band of speed rclxms.gif

QUOTE(r3apers @ Jan 22 2014, 12:57 PM)
coz biasa drag u as u always FFK except for gorilla
apa tu?
4AT, on hill slope, if u maintain ur pedal position fuel flow rate decrease... so juz drop gear to increase up the fuel flow, abit clumsy for AT to drop gear in D except u know how to tap to drop gear...
*
decrease coz speed drop, rpm drop
old skool magician taught me, rpm higher = fuel consumption higher
so he taught me try to be gentle and try to make the 4AT to change gear at no more than 3k-3.2k rpm for normal drive.

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jan 22 2014, 01:28 PM)
blush.gif OK. Dig dig understand liao since it is the ECU which controls the fuel rate and not  the pedal.
*
ultimately, its the pedal that tells the ECU what it should do. .
but whether the ECU will follow 100% from the pedal action or not is another matter.

almost 2 weeks using FS on my gaga, feel smoother than previous SS  hmm.gif  placebo???
*
better base oil & additive package ma. .
oil & additive properties degrade slower than SS. .
but I have no scientific claims to as degrade slower (in other words, last longer) = better effect
just like M5 is a mileage tyre, can last longer in terms of mileage usage than the average but doesn't mean it has better grip than others icon_idea.gif

sorry if I confused u blush.gif

Confusing. And it is placebo if SAE grade is the same.
*
in general terms, I don wan go into details.
if anti friction agent degrade slower / works better in FS, does that not leads to less friction/heat generated ?
if less friction / heat generated, won't it leads to better engine performance ?

u use ur finger and rub a dry table surface, will u feel hot and pain very fast ?
u use ur finger and rub a wet table surface, will u feel hot and pain not as fast as above ?
why ? because the water reduces the friction force and heat btw ur finger skin and the table.
anti friction agent is only 1 small part of the whole additive package. there's alot more in there.
don wanna start another oil/lubricant lecture class blush.gif

i think the ecu learn his uncle respond thts why different... cannot argue...  whistling.gif
*
the BLM in my house behaves the same.
if want it to downshift, step abit more pedal then it will vroom past 3.5k easily and all the way to 4-5k
once i ease of the pedal abit, it will shift up again rclxub.gif

I think wat r3apers mean is finding that "sweet spot" where once u hit it, it will downshift. no need step more.

wat funker and me mean is if want downshift, simply slam the pedal, it will downshift anyhow.

say me klazi but I am still going in with 230/220 after all the bars installed.
because my daily working route makes me use a lot of small roads with lots of cars.
seldom haiway
hence, to save FC, i still pump in that hai.
din noe when go into that freaking haiway will be so bad

I din realise that the NS haiway can be so bad.
been long time since I last travel north.
even the seremban highway is 10x better.
