Same with Kagawa. They want to play 2 striker, so Mata has to move wide. Plus, Mata is always looking to come inside and play the ball through the middle. But United are used to pushing the ball out wide. That's why during the Cardiff game, when Mata was playing behind the striker, he makes more long passes than usual, because the players are waiting out wide.

In a way this idea is going to destroy the beauty of the game. The teams like Barca and RM will be dominating the whole league. Don't really want to see that coming. I'd like to see one day Cardiff be the reigning champions and the likes of us, Man Utd, Liverpool got relegated from BPL. Dominate the league for so long it's never gonna be fun. Just look at Scottish PL. Celtic and Rangers, I doubt any one would choose to watch that league games unless you are a fan from one of the team.

IMO Moyes gave him a free-runner role (watched the game last night) and Rooney a deep lying midfield. But the impact is not as strong because the forwards are not good enough to convert the chances into a goal. Welbeck and Chicarito. When Persie went off Rooney should be the one leading the attack, not either two of them.

Mata was a winger when in Valencia. But as he ages, he lack speeds imho, altho he is not very old yet. His best ability is still his killer through balls and set piece accuracy.

I would play 1(vps)-2(Rooney+winger)-1(Mata)-2 (holding mids) -4(defenders) or 3-1-2-4..it would benefit Mata and Rooney as well. but they need to drop one of the wing since they need 2 holding mid

Can't really tell if the board of Man Utd going to sack him or what. I for one actually wanted him to stay and prove his worth in bigger clubs. Afterall he did save Everton from bottom-half-table team to fighting-for-Europa-League-spot team.

The fullbacks that capable of doing runs only Evra and Rafael but they cannot do the run all the time. IMO midfield is a huge trouble for them to deal, with CBs closely ranked second issue.

If they drop wing they will have problem. Their short passed not as strong as Chelsea's.
