Eto too, he abit different at this age compared to his time at inter/barcelona, last time he used to play in line/behind with defender and running near offside line, but now he play infront of defender, which allow better marking from opponent. this does not suit against hard defending team, JM started him since MU match, and dont even consider giving ba a chance to start, i expect eto to start again against MC.

2 subs in after 60 mins are normal tactical change.

Expecting a win but if you watch the match seeing how West Ham play, there's no way we can pry open their defense. Most of our 3 behind Eto was double up most of the time....each time we get the ball, you can see about 7-8 WH players behind it.....

if we win this game..we might go defensively against city..

but now a draw..we might go offensive..

offensive against city is a good gameplan if we play compact..because they are not defensive so..there will be spaces at the back...

i cant believe that we cant score 1 goals..because we had like 30+ chances..half of them clear cut chances..

I understand why Mou complain..because West Ham defend just for the sake of defending..not a tactical approach..we defend..yes I never said that we never play defensive..but we play defensive plus counter attacking..we intend to get goal..the only time we play pure defensive was against barcelona vs 10 man chelsea..and yet we still counter attack them..

yup. totally agree with u. but it's within the law of the game, so we should find another way to break the deadlock.
some of the guys from other teams are pointing at the way west ham played was the same as when chelsea played against barca.
i would disagree because we played that match in need of goals, not just waiting for draw because it wouldn't be enough to progress.

I think we will go attacking mode. sometime Jose play to prove a point..and I believe that we can win..

ok2. beside WHU defensive mode. few things to highlight..

ramires - his cross macam long ball pass. facepalm!

iva - why put him to left side ?? this Jose decision that i dont understand. iva move left, ramires become LB. both cross badly.

mikel should be sub earlier. once they take out carroll, already know their game plan.

overall, we are more calm at dying minutes. we didnt play long ball, instead we are finding space between defenders. i like this gameplay. no more gung ho long ball to penalty box and expect miracles.

i know that Mou said to take one game at a time..but his tactical and selection reflect that he is thinking about City.
