Those top tier teams are paid salary by their sponsors/e-sport company. So of course they can earn a living and by winning tournament, it will definitely help. As statistics shows, those who won TI3 has an estimated earnings of almost half million USD for the whole year, which is higher than all of those average workers.
But better make sure you win top 3 position or there wont be much. So eventually those players will have to find jobs in the e-sports industry once they had enough of playing competitively. In the end, still have to get jobs to make a living. |

OK I stand corrected, I thought they have sponsor and monthly salary. And the main question is how much he can earn if he play 8 hour per day , well , could be 0 income . However, isn't iceiceice a professional? IINM a professional is someone who engages in a specified activity as one’s main paid occupation? QUOTE(Agito666 @ Feb 18 2014, 04:30 PM) But Celldweller saidQUOTE pro enough to get in some tournament Aren't those that enter tournaments professionals ? Not all tournaments are for professionals, there's semi-pro and amateur tournaments for casual players as well.

Ah yes indeed there are, my bad as Celldweller didn't state which type. QUOTE(Agito666 @ Feb 18 2014, 05:48 PM) correction: when enter to world level of pro-ness baru think want to hand out resign letter to become full time gamer or not Of course weighing of pros and cons is a must, calculated risk. |
