"My response [to the FA] will be simple, they have seen the pictures on television. If they judge it offensive, what can I say? I prefer they don't ban him and he is not injured."
So judging from the Boss' comments Theo is not injured at all. Probably just taken off for precaution. If so really good news. |

QUOTE(harrychoo @ Jan 6 2014, 02:13 AM) Yea, out and out winger which would almost mean the demise of Tomas if we do sign him. We do not have a natural winger wide left though. All converted so far, the likes of Podolski, Rosicky, Cazorla, all not natural lefties. But its caughtoffside so just take it with a pinch of salt. Brilliant player though. |

Just saw the Fabio tackle and it was a red, no two ways about it.
The tackle from Fabio was identical to the Mikel tackle when we played Chelsea. And here Mike Dean has no qualms about flashing the red but Mikel didn't even get a yellow two weeks ago. That w*nker really does seem to have something against us. Btw the Spuds have no right to complaint about Theo's gesture. Here is Bale doing the same last year. ![]() |

The biggest question is will Theo ever be the same again, pace and speed wise after this. Doing cruciate ligaments is a pretty serious injury indeed and he might lose a step or two in 6 months. Such a shame really.

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 7 2014, 06:32 AM) PerPer. True legend. True gooner. Problem is Theo ain't no Bobby.when we say 6 months, it's probably 12. It's time for Gnabry to shine. Bobby buggered his and lost some of his speed yet none of his skills and flair. Le.Boss.We.Need.To.Buy.A.Striker.NOW. Now both ourselves and Dortmund will be on the hunt to find a starting striker... it'll be interesting to see whether we deck it out for the same one, or will we both go for different alternatives. I actually wouldn't mind if we sign an out and out winger now that theo is out, someone in the mould of a Pedro or a Navas. TBH I'm pretty contented with a giroud, poldi and bendy strikeforce for now. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 7 2014, 02:25 PM) bendy is out.. giroud might still be injured. poldi just came back, and he is not good as lone striker so far at the last game we saw him playing at that position. Well he might improve or suit himself to that position in our team, but it is something we cannot gamble. we really need a finisher. Bendy is only out for a month. Giroud is already back just that he was ill during the Spurs match. It is unfair to judge Poldi just on that match IMO. As you said yourself he just came back so pretty unfair to write him off as an "ineffective" lone striker just based on that game. He will only get better as he gains fitness. Whereas the number of out and out true wingers that we have? Minus Theo now you get a big fat zero. We have no pace and width to stretch the play without Theo and it will show when teams park the bus. At the moment Gnabry looks really promising and able to fill the void for the time being but you don't expect him to play in every game from now and score the odd goal/assist per game. I know the OX is on the mend and on the way back but it will take a bit more time for him to get back in the groove. |

We need a mean looking bada** black dude back in our team and Martinez looks like one.
Them stares from Lauren strikes fear into anyone. Still love him for those ice cool penalties he used to slot down the middle against he Sp*ds. This post has been edited by sigheart: Jan 7 2014, 09:40 PM |

QUOTE(TheRedRanger @ Jan 10 2014, 12:03 PM) What does a high profile player got to do with Gnabry? From what I see it seems we are more keen on a striker signing and Gnabry plays in a completely different position. The only person in direct competition with him for a spot on the right wing in the absence of Theo is a half fit Ox. |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 12 2014, 01:28 PM) http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/has-a-ca...nline-pictures/ Henry was photographed with Sagna, Giroud and Linford Christie wearing the apparently leaked home kit.Wow. seriously. ugh. Thank goodness they are all training kits which nobody really cares either. N98 jackets aside, we did get some shocking training kits from Nike this year too. No signs of home/away kits but good to know they will be in proper red-white and yellow-navy. It looks a pretty decent classic red and white. Below is that pic again. No sign of the away kit yet. The rumoured leaked pics which are circulating around look damn fake. ![]() |
