Yea, out and out winger which would almost mean the demise of Tomas if we do sign him. We do not have a natural winger wide left though. All converted so far, the likes of Podolski, Rosicky, Cazorla, all not natural lefties.

Just saw the Fabio tackle and it was a red, no two ways about it.

The tackle from Fabio was identical to the Mikel tackle when we played Chelsea.

The biggest question is will Theo ever be the same again, pace and speed wise after this. Doing cruciate ligaments is a pretty serious injury indeed and he might lose a step or two in 6 months. Such a shame really.

Problem is Theo ain't no Bobby.

I actually wouldn't mind if we sign an out and out winger now that theo is out, someone in the mould of a Pedro or a Navas. TBH I'm pretty contented with a giroud, poldi and bendy strikeforce for now.

Bendy is only out for a month. Giroud is already back just that he was ill during the Spurs match.

It is unfair to judge Poldi just on that match IMO. As you said yourself he just came back so pretty unfair to write him off as an "ineffective" lone striker just based on that game. He will only get better as he gains fitness.

Whereas the number of out and out true wingers that we have? Minus Theo now you get a big fat zero. We have no pace and width to stretch the play without Theo and it will show when teams park the bus.

At the moment Gnabry looks really promising and able to fill the void for the time being but you don't expect him to play in every game from now and score the odd goal/assist per game. I know the OX is on the mend and on the way back but it will take a bit more time for him to get back in the groove.

We need a mean looking bada** black dude back in our team and Martinez looks like one. Like Lauren. No one dared F*ck with Lauren back in the day. Many feared they will never live to see the next light of day if they did.

Them stares from Lauren strikes fear into anyone. Still love him for those ice cool penalties he used to slot down the middle against he Sp*ds.

What does a high profile player got to do with Gnabry?

From what I see it seems we are more keen on a striker signing and Gnabry plays in a completely different position. The only person in direct competition with him for a spot on the right wing in the absence of Theo is a half fit Ox.
