Just makking a poll seeing what is your fav gun for ur WW2 game such as Brothers in Arm, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and etc.

Some may ask why i did not include russians and British weapons because they dont appear in all the WW2 games unlike the German and American counterpart.

Vote and leave a comment if you want.

For me i voted the M1 Garand, It for me the most versetaile gun of all the others, good range, good fire rate and so-so ammo capacity.

Agree.. it's my fav in CoD2... good balance of power and accuracy.

But I had the most wicked fun with the MG42... awesome firepower and firing rate... too bad we only get it in fixed locations in CoD2.

I also like the BAR also, but the occasion to use it is really rare. As ammo is not available all the time.

The carbine.. i didnt add it as it wasnt a really popular gun in many WW2 game.

also it was a gun the paratroopers use not really a standard weapon.

The Browning light was a .30 caliber MG, if you're thinking of the one in COD:UO and the MGs on the Stuart in BiA. And where's my SVT40 or Gewehr 43/44? Yummy yummy semiauto battle rifles....

Ops.. i made a mistake..

I say it again, This are Guns that are commonly found in every WW2 game. British Russians gun, fancy german guns and etc, are only found in 1 game only. If i included everygun that use in WW2 the list would be way to loooongggggg.

about the luger and 1911 well these are handgun, and i didnt expect people would even vote for them.

cmon in CS if you have the cash would you invest in a pistol.

Those WW2 games are made by AMERICANS, of course that it will show AMERICAN-MADE weapons. Plus in almost of those games, AMERICANS ARE FIGHTING AGAINST GERMANS, thus there are Germany weaponry.

For rifles, I prefer British made Rifle No. 4 (and its variants). Great range and hold up to 10 rounds rather than 5 rounds of Kar98 of Germans counterpart. This British rifle is widely used for all over the world and can be added with sniper scope.

If I am not mistaken, Japanese Arisaka rifle is one of the most accurate weapon of WW2. It is because the rifle has such long barrel, as you can see, long barrel produces better accuracy. Alas, only in Hidden & Dangerous 2 game that we can use this awesome rifle.

For semi-auto rifle, German Gewehr 43. In reality, better than Garand rifle as revolutionary loading ammo for Garand rifle has tendency to jam a lot more. While Gewehr 43 was using standard way for feeding the ammo into the rifle. But if this weapon was mass produced and being made as primary weapon for infantry, Nazi Germany has abit more chance to fight the war.

For assault, I prefer to use British Sten gun. Can be attached with silencer, so it's more superior than Thompson. But anyway, StG 44 is the most awesome assault weapon. This is the weapon that the Soviet took after the end of the WW2 to produce the legendary AK-47 assault rifle. For thread starter, it's StG/MP 44 not Stug (Stug is a tank variant). Stands for Sturmgewehr which literally means Assault Gun/Weapon. MP is stand for Machinenpistole which means Machine Pistol. Without this kind of names, the Allies may put names such as Repeting Gun or the previously used Self-Loading Rifle.

BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) was an awesome weapon too but StG 44 was better in combat. Because it has more rounds. M1 Carbine kind of a great weapon too for both close range and medium range plus it can hold 15 rounds. Better for close combat than both M1 Garand and Gewehr 43.

Call of Duty, Medal of Honour and Brothers in Arms do not constitute "most" WW2 games (Unless you're talking about FPSes)

You're totally ignoring the RTS WW2 games like Close Combat, Soldiers, Afrika Korps vs Desert Rats, etc., all of which have British weapons in them.

Which reminds me... Wasn't there a Bren in Hidden and Dangerous (It was the uber suppression weapon) and one of the Commandos games?

Anyway, the akimbo 1911 in Return to Castle Wolfenstein was pretty fun... But the reload was crap.

Of cos a real one is better, but since real one are a luxury so FPS is the closest thing.

iam just comparing FPS with RTS in feel of the gun.

Wow 5 votes for MP40. I guess people really like the that low fire rate, high accuracy submachine gun.
