Download from the nVdia website the DDS plugin for Photoshop. but you also need the original PSD files, as editing the DDS file will not give good colours as there are only one layer that you can edit.
also download the MAS extractor from rFactor's site |

nope, the fastest is the one with the best setup.
but hell, I need more steering lock with the car than i need with F1C. also the engine boost really make me look after the rpm more, now that if I overuse that I can blow up. The good thing is that I can use lower wing than i normally would, and it does not affect my turn in speed that much compared to F1C, but I feel that it's just because the difference in prefereces with RH and CTDP. Now that I can't run F1C anymore under Vista, rFactor is the only thing i have left T.T |

I have noticed this for the mod
1. The tyre wears out VERY quickly. I usually raced 40~50 laps, so I discover that - Soft - Good for 5~7 laps - Med - 10~12 - Hard - 14~15 From this, you can choose your strategy 2. Engine boost. USE WITH CAUTION - Starting from 1~6 - Boost no 2 for 90% of the race. You can use 10 when wanting to pit as you can keep the place/overtake during this period - 7~12 - Boost 5 for 75% of the race and 1 for the rest. No more - 13~last - Bost 10 for 45% and cross your fingers that you will last the whole race. (for 45~50 laps race) PS. Redline, can give the setup for Silverstone. I keep getting caught out at Maggots-Becket-Chapel T.T Also, looks like the whining that i made to CTDP was not in vain. They are making the 05 version of Sepang for rFactor This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Sep 9 2006, 02:47 PM |

I just edit the DDS file. CTDP locks their MAS file anyway for editing

tested the car last night. Seems that my rFactor crashes frequently at Barcelona, so I tested it at Nordchelife instead. Crazy, but the new RD physics was better as I can use the pump to make the throttle less responsive at slow corners.

well, I think editing sound.sfx won't make a mismatch, but you can always do the old fashion copy and rename the CTDP F1's WAV file to the GP2 files.
and ISI Barca hates v1.020 I really need to buy the game |

Spent 200++ laps at the Nuerburgring this morning trying to get a feel of the GP2 car. It seems that I need to have the car on understeer so that it will not spin out on me. But that means I have a high tyre wear. also because of the rear seems to be fishtailing than an F1 car, I use F<R instead of F>R wing setting on F1 cars. Also my fingers feels weird right now

I remembered during my F1C days. Testing the cars untill I puked.(I used an edited headpysics so that the head movement was real, and let me tell you, I really respect real F1 drivers, they head vibrate like crazy).
anyways, where can get Valencia? |

Depends on teh corner actually. you don't say how the corner is. Is it a fast one? Chicane? Hairpin? When you hit the apex of the corner, how the car feel? Is it stable enough? if not, use a higher gear as this will give more stability but you will lose some torque and acceleration. If the car is stable enought, use lower gear, but increases the chance of a spinout

Brake earlier lor. And if you can have a good entry from wurth you can go up to 6th gear. I usually brake nearly 150M before the corner, as it's a straight -> hairpin

Not necesserily. You can also make the car more understeer so that you won't need to lose on top speed by having more rear wing.
