good 1 hour season finale race

qualified lowly but a good start jumped me up a few places, then saw the flyin car of Redline, made up a few more places

i touched with Alan at the same corner, slowed down enuff not to spoil his race, then he missed his braking point and crashed on turn 4, instantly promoted me to 4th

running steady and keeping the chaser (Soze) 5 seconds behind. after quite a while Redline was behind me and charging - let him thru coz thought he was a couple laps behind (due to that accident) only to realized later he was only one lap down and charging very very fast, he overtook me after my 2nd pit stop - but Redline needed to pit again so i regained 4th

just downloaded update porsche mod + porsche asia

only did a couple laps on the server - it feels good using the clutch to shift, but maybe not quicker

suddenly i felt the urge to go for homemade h-shifter project since no news of the logi g25 yet

btw u can also buy h-shifters from act labs, or thomas superwheel, or frex (ouch)

when is the logi g25 coming - we need the h-shifter!! oh may as well build one while waitin i dunno if i hav the might

or just get one from frexgp ~ RM1600, but shud last a lifetime maa

Redline - we hope u finish higher in the actual race, that is if they dun kick u out for bad ping thanks to our "broad"band connection!

Tried Megane for a short while last night, Megane is using sequential paddle shifting, and really powerful engine

Anyway since i already start my h-shifter project, may as well finish em. Mechanical part is almost complete, missing the return to centre spring. I have ideas for the electronic switches but dun have the right material.

Back to Megane - with rfactor 1150 u can disable the in game steering wheel, with the right FOV and sitting position (plus my fresnel lens) i can get very close to real view as if driving the real thing

FOV - experimenting between 50 to 60, previously set to 66 in f3 league

seriously, with the fresnel lens, minus the in-game wheel, and about right fov, u'll get very close to like in a simulator

unfortunately switching to the open wheel , i need to readjust the fov again, seat height etc. but cannot set it too real as vision would be limited i.e. u cannot see the apex and turns easier, u know what i mean

maybe need to use different profile for different cars if that is possible, will experiment again.

but dun think this fresnel lens is good for ur 24" wide lcd, i may be wrong. My take is the fresnel lens im using is good for those running 17"-19" non wide.

manual shifting as in using the paddles or stickshift to shift, no clutch needed

changing the psu did not solve my problem - resolve it by movin from dvi connector to dsub??

btw project h-shifter is very much complete! it is working, tried gtr2 n its great, photos coming soon

but i doubt i will be using the h-shifter much though??

did some laps in the Megane server last night using my prototype 6 speed h-shifter, it was a lot of fun, but the server was running autoclutch on - anyway i need to work on my downshift and clutch work, but most prolly i'll stick with paddle shifter which is faster, hey even the megane is using paddle shifters

btw while i was on the server last night, there was one guy who came in doin some laps maybe just to beat my time?? which he did and then left with a message "sorry"???

we movin back to F1 already? i am terrible on the F1 machine

dude - whut happened last night??

i ran into Ron's BAR during start (sorry Ron), lost my front wing (and front suspension? damaged set to 100%?), and before turn 4 i got connection lost and out of the session - did u guys actually finished the test race??

need to learn how to setup the car - last night only changed gear ratio and switched to soft compound, dunno what to do with the rest of the setup tweak.

btw CTDP 2005, my setup at default for 12 laps, during qualify i went out for 8 laps fuel, did not complete any time, set the fuel at 15 laps, went out for my times - come race time automatically i start at 12 laps?? - i think we need to set the fuel before qualifying session start??

btw who is drivin the Ferrari? Soze?? i find the Ferrari less forgivin - maybe CTDP set it that way to resemble last year Bridgestone tyres?? but maybe just me

btw do u get tyre change during pit?

i dunno what was the damaged set last night race - but all the dnf - overheating, engine on fire, CTDP mod (rfactor engine) is amazin

i did not change much the default setup - guess my engine was sufficiently cooled

but somethin happened during my last lap - maybe the brake is gone (brake duct? i did not change anything?)

my tyres started to lock up, went into the gravel, and cannot hold Alan at the final straight start finish aghhhh - another infamous moment

excellent time - is this rFactor CTDP or F1C coz i thought that CTDP mod only works with 1150 rFactor, maybe im wrong

whatever fast lap u do gettin the car to the finish grid right is what matters most right

anway so many things to consider running CTDP - setups and strategy, u know the no tyre change, qualify fuel and setup, i believe after u setup for qualify u, for race u can only change limited parameters

redline - send me the toyota 1-2 screenshot, for me deskop background (beautiful 7950gx2 render )

i have not been playing - revamping my pedals - all alu profile changed to steel, can karate kick the pedals now

ok what mod are we on now?

i dunno man - but the GP2 mod sound is a turn off, prefer the ver1150 F3??

anyway im in of couse for another open wheel series

to new members joining the vms league,

when u practice a few nights back u can run about same laptimes on more fuel load, in short not too much difference when u have less

but normally in the OWS league the tyres are set to x2, and fuel to x3, so the car will be a lot heavier and tyres need to take care, some strategy do come in play

race normally is 45 mins

1.34s lap times?? - this is the front runner race pace!!

sorry i did not read the new rules - so this season we run normal tyres and fuel
