I will be going to Seoul again in November.
Please recommend me some guesthouse for 2pax. (near to Hongdae station)

So far I've tried Namsan Guesthouse 2, 24 Guesthouse, 88 Hostel in Hongdae and Mr. Egg hostel.

exit to metro quite crowded lor.. and if you stay in hongdae main area very noisy and crowded. usually people will stay around quiet side at donggyoro, worldcupbukro, yeonhuiro, sinchonro, dongmakro, etc.. btw, it's up to you and your friends also hehe.. too many choices of guesthouse.. hard to list out unless you specify your requirement of what types of guesthouse you prefer laugh.gif

haha.. yeah quite alot.. if you don't mind the walking and on quieter side. you can try out seoul mansion. not bad. pm me to get the discount. btw, i'm not affiliated with this guesthouse. just that i'm returning customer hence if i intro guest to there, the guest will have discount. so you will get discount in future, if you are the returning customer. quite a good deal (at least for me) icon_rolleyes.gif

how do i explain?? sweat.gif you have to check with the bank that issue you the credit card. some bank already started to issue the pin for the credit card user. i'm not sure how old is your card but if your bank haven't provide you any new pin yet, you can just use the card as usual as how you use it in Msia

Hello experts!

I am considering going to Seoul for a week next month but it's still not finalized and thus have not started any itinerary planning. This will be my first visit.

1. Understand it's still summer next month - is this a turn off since the weather is more or less like Malaysia? What are the recommended activities in summer?
2. If i were to go, i'll be staying at Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun hotel. Anyone can advise if this hotel/area is recommended? In terms of convenience, safety, proximity to train stations etc..
3. Roughly how much should i allocate per day (including average meals, public transportations, cafes, local ground tours, sight seeings and entrance fees etc etc)? I know shopping is very subjective so let's leave that out in the budget planning and i'm also not considering far places like Jeju.
4. I only have a week there and i'll be alone during the day. Off the top of your head, can you guys let me know what are the places i should go and explore as a first timer? Apart from Song Joong Ki and Myeong-dong for shopping, i'm totally clueless about Seoul.

It's a bit rush so i haven't got the chance to go through the previous posts. Need the experts here to help out so i can quickly finalize my decision!

Thank you so much guys!

Depends on where you are planning to go. If you are mainly travelling in tourist district, there will be someone who can speak English or Chinese, and signs often will be in English/Chinese/Japanese too. Worse comes to worst, you can always use body language and online translator (I recommend Naver Translator). No worries, you will survive smile.gif

yes. if you don't want to take ITX to Yongsan Station or Cheongnyangni Station, you can opt to take the shuttle bus from downtown. refer to this link https://namisum.com/en/location/

some AAX hot seat extra legroom not that much also. those with extra legroom usually non-reclinable laugh.gif . what i can think of is the advantage of hot seat is can express boarding laugh.gif
