I want to thanks to all forummers in this sections for all your helpful answers. I have completed my own trip to seoul and jeju 2 weeks ago (not using any tour). I guess, I don't have much to ask anymore after this, except just watching this thread and answering question..

By the way, for you reference, i rented a car in jeju from KT for exactly two days, using hyundai avante gasoline for RM339.39 & had to refill half tank petrol before returning the car for RM179.90 (price quoted are exact price as shown in my credit card statement smile.gif ). Mileage is more than 300km. It was fun driving and visiting attractions at own pace.

Hello, I am going to Korea this coming October and am planning a backpacking trip there. I wish to cover Busan, Jeju and Seoul during my 8 days there, but was shocked to see the exorbitant domestic flight tickets to Jeju (checked on Eastarjet, Air Busan and Jeju Air). May I know of any tips to secure cheaper tickets to Jeju? Thank you in advance  smile.gif

you must try to book the ticket as soon as the scheduled & fare is released for the first time. Cheap price usually roughly around rm100 each way..

hi i am trying to book jeju air.. have anyone tried to book it before? I am stuck at Name of Passengers.. which allows me to key in 2 words.. so if my name is Ng Chun Kong.. which 2 words should i fill in? which is valid...thank you..
*
It doesn't really matter which goes to the first, and which goes to the last name.. What matters is the spelling is correct.. It can be Ng ChunKong or Ngchun Kong.. Same goes for names which has more than 3 words.. as long as the spelling is same as in passport, then, it is okay..

Hello, I am currently planning for my coming trip to South Korea in October, and am wondering if I could get some tips for transportation in Jeju Island. I read online that it is nearly impossible to visit Jeju without a tour. As I will be backpacking, I am definitely going to rely on the public buses there. From your experiences in Jeju, may I know if it is possible to cover Jeju on public buses?

Thank you in advance for your kind assistance  smile.gif  Looking forward to the trip!
*
in jeju, people either rent a car, rent a taxi for 8 hours, take a tour, or take a bus. So, yes, it is possible to take a bus, but bus does not go to all attactions. So, you need to google whether the bus goes to your destinations or not..

Thanks for the valuable information!  smile.gif  There'll be 4 of us on the 3D2N trip to Jeju. As it is a bit troublesome to convert the Malaysian driving license to an international one to be able to drive in Jeju (have to take 2 days of leave just to go to JPJ to convert and then get back the original license),

Go to AAM office to apply for international license. I bet you will be done in 10 minutes.. Yes, International license can be applied either at JPJ or AAM office and their prices are same..

U guys think change Rm to Won better or Sgd to Won better? In KL.
*
it's rare to see someone change from sgd to won in this forum. but between rm->won and rm->usd->won, rm->usd->won gives better rate but of course, you need to change a large amount to see a significant difference..

Hey, want to ask if I want to travel around Seoul area only, backpacking, should I sticked to one guesthouse or different according to area like myeongdong, dongdaemun? What I'm considering is how convenient it the public transport is..and any good, strategic hostel recommendation in seoul?
*
you should just stick to one guesthouse only, as all the attractions are easily reachable by public transport especially the mtr. You can consider moving to different guesthouse if you go out of seoul or the 1 way journey already takes more than 3 hours.

What is the cheapest flight to jeju?
*
2 months ago, I went to jeju from seoul for RM112, and from jeju back to seoul for RM94 per person (net price, after includes tax, currency conversion, etc). I booked the tickets 3 to 4 months earlier. I booked the ticket when they released the fare schedule for the first time, like in the first week.

Hi all, want to ask, has anyone one driven around Jeju island? I'll be going there in december and are planning to drive around Jeju island. Will be staying in You&I Guest house at Jeju City.

Could those that have experience driving around Jeju share the places they visited?
*
Outside the jeju city, driving with gps is easy. However, when when driving inside the jeju city nearby (nearby the airport), the road is like KL. Too many junctions here and there and easy to get confuse when gps says it's time to turn.

anyway, when you're driving, don't forget to try this route. I've tried a few of them, and it's awesome..

i wonder whether he can dispute the payment or not. Usually, with credit card, you can call the bank to cancel the payment and the bank usually will favor credit card owner than the seller/vendor/taxi driver..
