Hi guys, will be going to Korea in May in a group of 5. Our plan is to head straight to Jeju once we reach Incheon. Our eta is 3.20PM. Is a flight from Gimpo to Jeju about 6.35PM okay? or should i get a later flight to avoid being late? And anyone knows roughly when are the promotion time for the jeju flight tickets?

and regarding driving in jeju, all I need is to obtain international driving licence from jpj then can dy? Thanks!
*
let's make the itinerary..

3.20 arrival
3.20 - 4.20 imigration clearance
4.20 - 5.20 incheon - gimpo railway
6.20 - arrival & check in (check in 1 hour earlier before departure)
7.20 departure..

5.20 - arrival & check in (check in 1 hour earlier before departure)
6.20 departure.

So, i suggest your pick flight 6.20 or later...

*Edited my mistake..

I made mistakes in my itinerary suggestion.. see my edited post. 6.30 departure still possible.. but I still suggests you take more time, in case flight delay, or customs clearance takes longer.. so, 7.20 is still the best..

Guys, roughly how much $ do I need if I going Jeju for 4 days and another 4 days in Seoul?

I am going mid of April this year and havent do any accommodation booking yet. doh.gif
*
You're asking too general questions, that best answered if take a tour package...
variables you must calculate
-accomodations
-flights
-taxi/car rental
-attractions...

flight to jeju, the cheapest is around ~rm200 for return (gimpo-jeju) per person.. I'm not sure whether you can still get around that price... do check it yourself..

by the way, if you're going to jeju in spring, you must know that spring is the peak season for tourist coming to jeju.. so, you should start looking for accomodation now..

Guys.. how much does it cost to ski..

Based on this info below, I assume we must pick Morning (new) rate, right?
So, the total cost per person wil be 57000 + 28000 (ski rental) = 85000W = ~RM261 ??
Is it that expensive to play a ski or am I missing something?

QUOTE
http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_....jsp?cid=266845

Morning
Time: 08:30–13:00
Lift: Adults 50,000 won / Children 35,000 won
Ski & Snow Board Rental: Adults 23,000 won / Children 16,000 won

Morning (new)
Time: 10:30–15:00
Prices: Adults 57,000 won / Children 40,000 won
Ski & Snow Board Rental: Adults 28,000 won / Children 19,000 won
Second question, if I want to bring my family for skiing, among all the countries
in asia that have ski resorts, which one is the cheapest after including the flight costs and everything?

Tq.

As stimix had mentioned, there'll be a lot of walking.. so, maybe it will be very tiring for elders. I think, better take a tour.. the bus/van is ready to drop and pick you up right in front of the hotel or attaction's entrance..

Hi guys,

I just checked eastarjet for Oct 2014 and most of the special fare tickets are listed as "sold out". I'm wondering if i'm too late or early to check. Normally how many months in advance does the airline do the promo?

Besides that, how do u all see the special fare for members? I tried logging in and out but the same fare schedule is displayed hence no difference. I used the"flight booking" tab and then "special fare" to check the fares. Am i missing out on stg?  hmm.gif
*
Special fare is there.. and it is cheaper than discounted fare. I see that discounted fare and available almost all the time.. For special fare, I know it is available is when a new fare scheduled is released.. If you see the normal/discounted fare is available and special fare is sold out, it means it is really sold out already.

As for discounted fare, i see the fare keep increasing over time until it finally almost reaches normal price.. That means, buying discounted fare ticket much earlier is much cheaper than buying discounted fare at later date ...

Everyone can see the special fare price, but only members can book it. Membership is free though.

Hi,
I would like to ask my flight coming back to KL from Incheon Airport is at 9:50am.
What time should should I leave my hotel (staying in myeongdong)?
Should I take taxi or train?
*
you can check the subway train's schedule on their website or download the MetroHD apps. They have the train departure & arrival timetable, and also the duration from you departure station to the destination station. If flight is at 9.50, you can use the subway to go there.. subway starts as early as 5.30am..

Hi Guys..
I just checkout the KT Kumho car rental in Jeju... normally, there'll be a free egg unit. But the latest I check today, the egg unit option is no longer there. I wonder, are they no longer providing the egg unit?

hi there, I am going to jeju too. Is car rental is better than hiring taxi?
*
Some says taxi better, some says car rental is better. It depends on who you're asking to.

-If you're in big group, car rental is cheaper when you divided the cost among each other.
-8 hours taxi ride gonna cost at least RM400. After 8 hours, they'll charge you by hourly rate..
Car rental, the cheapest is roughly RM100++ per day, but the petrol is very costly there.
-For taxi, they usually don't want to go round the whole jeju in 1 day. You either pick east side, or west side, something like that.

This thing has been discussed a lot in previous posting.. Probably, you'll need to read older threads in..

Hi Guys.. can you help me with my planning for Jeju trip. All I want to know is how much time should I allocate to visit each of these attractions leisurely, not rushly and no sitting & drinking coffee of course. Just go there for enjoying the view and taking pictures.

Day 1
-Yongduam Rock (30 minute?)
-Yongmeori Beach (1.5 hour)
-Cheonjeyeon Falls & Seonimgyo Bridge (2 hour?)
-Jusangjeolli Cliff (1 hour?)
-Oedolgae Rock (30 minutes?)

Day 2

-Seopjikoji (1.5 hour to walk till reaching the church & back?)
-Seongeup Folk Village (1 hour?)
-Sangumburi  Crater (1.5 hour?)
-Manjanggul Cave (1.5 hour?)
-Gimnyeong Maze Park (30 minutes?)
-Jeju loveland (1.5 hour?)

I will also go to  Seongsan Ilchulbong to watch sunrise in wee hours. So, I got no issues with time allocation for this.

Please let me know if the time allocation is over estimate or under estimate, or maybe tell us how long did you spent when you went there..

Thanks..

There'll be a MATTA fair this 14-16 March 2016 at PWTC.. All travel agents will be there at one place, so easier for you to survey around to get a better deal..

Hi guys, ill br travelling with family of 7pax, where do u guys recommend? Having hard time looking fir accomodation that cater for so many of us,
Dont want bunk bed types though
*
There's no choice other than buy more than 2 rooms. 7 or 8 peoples in 1 room is definitely a bunk beds type, but you can rent the whole dorm.. Usually dorm can be as small as for 4 or 8 peoples...

Hello, I'll be traveling to Jeju in May and was advised to either take bus tour or rent a car. I am opting for the former.

Please could you recommend me a tour agency which provide such service? Also, can I purchase the package on the day itself over the counter or advisable to book in advance?

Many thanks.
*
You can try YEHAtour (http://www.yehatour.com/jeju2014/tour/yehabus/main.php?lang=eng&lcode=01). During matta last matta fair, YEHA has their own booth to promote their jeju package and their guesthouse.. Next month, there'll be another MATTA FAIR at pwtc. You may come to their booth and compare with other travel agents as well.

Other than bus tour or rent a car, you can also consider rent a taxi.. by renting a taxi, you can select yourself on which attractions you want to visit.

based on the link i give you above, bus tour cost 78k won per person. If renting a taxi, cost is about 120K won per taxi, that can fits up to 4 adult.

Thanks Zeese.

Since I am travelling with my partner, hiring a taxi works out to be cheaper. I know that bus tour includes admission tickets to some attractions. Is the 18k won saved per person from hiring the taxi enough to cover the tickets? Do we also need to cover for the driver's meal?
*
18k just good enough to cover entrance fees for nature's attraction.. like waterfall, ilchubong peak, yeongmeori coast, cliffs, odeolgae rock, etc, caves, etc. When it comes to muzium and other man made's stuff, it becomes expensive.. loveland ~18k, seongup folk village ~16k, etc. And you have to cover the taxi driver's meal too.. meal in jeju is costly. it's around rm30-rm50 per meal set..

I don't want to say taxi is better than tour bus or vice versa. I'm just giving you an opinion and idea. You need to plan the detail yourself and see which gives better savings..

I wonder how did everyone get less than rm1.5k return ticket to Seoul. Booked mine yesterday for March 20-29 for rm1950.
*
wow.. that's overkill.. even during non-promo, I can still get less than that.. Next time when you search, try look for price as close as possible to 600++.. Sometimes, some lucky people can even get 500++ return trip (price without luggage and add-ons..)..

The price is cheap during promo, during the first time the fare for that date is released on schedule, and sometimes, during last minute, probably because they don't want to waste the empty seats..

Hi guys,

Booked my car through KT Kumho about 3 months ago.

Now I check again, I realised I did not tick for Navigation & Egg Unit and I unable to click on it. Anyone know if I can ask for it when I collect the car?
*
kt kumho and other rental companie only accept booking the latest 2 months earlier.. No one can book longer than that.

I assume you booked it online. What you can do is try to modify your booking. That way, if the gps is still available, you can tick it and resubmit your booking. If the english gps cannot be tick, see if you can get the korean gps. If both are not available (cannot tick), then, of course you should try you luck by asking them over the counter, but better be prepared for disappointment..

If Korean GPS, I will not understand anyway. haha, can't be tick and what about the egg?
*
I've done my research too regarding korean gps.. All of them who knows nothing about korean language said, the korean gps is easy to use. You just need to ask them to show you how to enter the phone no of ur destination.. Then, the rest, you just follow the map and direction arrow.
