Hi all,

Newbie going through renovation here..

I would love to have a smaller hob/hood for extra countertop space esp for food prep and space to put my Thermomix..
Is there any suggestion for a good hob and hood that is max 750mm width? Gas/electric hob can both be considered. For hood, preferably one with good suction power (no heavy cooking, open kitchen).

Used to use those bosch 4 gas-cookers at 600mm and had no issues using them so I don't know why gas hobs now are made so big with even less cookers sweat.gif

Also, what is the ideal height from countertop to top cabinet to which suction power is not compromised and yet at the same time ideal for a person whose height is 175cm?

Thanks for sharing, dayalan86. Considering our own use and limited kitchen space (no luxury for dry/wet kitchen), the smaller hob suits us more. We were able to use a 32L induction pot for boiling soup, and still use a medium sized pan and a small frying/sauce pan at the same time with the 4-burner. It wasn't very pretty though tongue.gif

For single burner hobs side by side, will that affect the stability of the hob sitting on the countertop?

I was looking at one of the hobs from Robam B276 which is 2-burner, 760mm. Is this a good model? I hear Fotile and Robam are both good brands in China.

Which one is the L shape hob? Do you have any brand/model recommendation?
