Why you need such a combination?

Both are using electric. Nothing special. And electric hob are waste energy.

That's why.. Just like I saw Bosch. Couldn't seem to find it elsewhere. Where did you find Panasonic?
*
Bosch I see a lot. In HN, senQ and home pro. But panasonic is very rare. I did see 1 or 2 shop sell before. But can't recall.

Panasonic induction hob could be found in their authorised dealer, panashop.. i bought one last june... after two months, could not start, thn send to service center, they changed the main board. They said nvr encounter this problem before, maybe mine is the newest model. Now, no problem. Fyi, i use it daily, morning cook porridge n dinner at nite...
*
Which model you get? The local pana website model is very old model which is going to phase out soon. I m looking at the latest model which others Asian country selling now. Pana HK have widest range. If I can't get here, thinking going HK to get it if holiday there.

Will check with pana shop. But very hard to find pana shop. Any between pj?

It look nice and clean shape. But the design function have some flaw for the hob and the hood.

I always like this kind of hood. It clear away my head height from the feeling of going to knock on it. Or can't get closer to the cook. But checking on the design functioning, specially for our Asian way of cooking, it s not a good design.

That is my main concern from what you claim on knock your head.

So we consider this design, quite well and look nicer.
Even the gas delivery guy said, where we get it?

Cause in s'pore not common ppls who used it type at all.
*
It is common here.

I like the design. But it is not efficiency. Specially for out Asian cooking.

Don't seem the design like not useful, but the powerful suction can be much strong than exhaust fan.
*
It is not "design like not useful". The design is not efficiency to suck the steam and the oil. Specially for Asian way of cooking.

Of course every hood is much stronger than exhaust fan.

You no buy got inverter 1.

Thanks guys . It seems like not many ppl using the electric ignition type of hob so no point for me adding extra plug point under .

Btw anyone using electrolux efc 926sa hood ? Cant find any reviews through google .
*
I have the hob is using electric ignition. And instal an extra socket down the cabinet.

Not really recommend to get the electric ignition. It is not that it have problem. But the mechanism design. Ignition it something very basic of mechanism. Shouldn't use any kind of electric or keep it as simple as possible the mechanism.

hi all, i would like to know that...

for cooking hood, is it necessary to use double pole switch?... coz the wiring contractor charge me RM160 for the double pole switch for cooker hood.
just want to know is it necessary or not. or single pole switch is good enuf?...

or u guys doesn't even need the main switch for the cooker hood? (just press the on off switch at hood itself)
*
You can just use the hood switch. Provided you can reach that switch. Otherwise, you need another switch for lower height.

1 switch is enough.

i think he meant the switch on the hood itself  biggrin.gif
btw i got three switch -
the 13A socket got one switch up on top near the hood which cannot be reach unless you stand on a ladder or chair
i also got another 20amp double pole switch near the countertop
and then the switch on the hood itself

i didnt make it that way but since it is there, i use only lah rclxms.gif
i know the double pole 20a is overkill in this situation

Remember the "problem" I had with the plug socket been outside the hood cover? Ok lah in the end cannot see too much. Had to cut a small lobang to pass the cable thru

The switch too crowded around the cooking place. And those switch behind the hob, later will be full of sticky oil and dirt from the cooking. You got to clean it up frequently. Got to becarefull.

If the hood switch is convenient to ON/OFF, it should be sufficient. You only need a socket for the plug hide away. That 1 always ON is ok since the hood already have switch.

My hood don't have the switch. When I want to use, I slight it out and it ON. Finish, slight it back and it OFF. The hood is built in cabinet type. Socket and plug always ON and hide into the cabinet.

If you plan to put in-line booster fan, just make sure the hood you use can get rid of the oil vapor before entering the via duct. Otherwise, the fan will accumulate oil in long run. That airegard is not designed for that, I believe. It is for pure air circulation.

Maybe you can just try without it first. It might just work without additional boost since air is not much of a load anyway. The performance drop might be not that significant. Which Fotile model you were looking at?
*
Just get those 1' normal exhaust fan will do. Panasonic, khind etc. Cheaper to replace. The oil will degrade the plastic fan blade after few yrs. Unless you clean it frequently. Or look for the metal fan blade. This exhaust fan is design for oil protect.

I think Zan81 was talking about the an in-duct fan booster, not the normal exhaust fan put on the wall
*
When the duct meet with the wall, you can just put a exhaust fan there.

You can use in-duct fan booster. But check with the noise. Not mistaken, it is a bit noisy.

Just brought 1 of this 4" in-duct fan 12vdc. Haven't try it out how noisy is it.

The end cover look quite nice already. Is it doesn't blend to your condo look?

You can try to camouflage it by paint it to your condo exterior color.

Yes. I was told that the quality is food as fotile. Not sure correct or not. But the suction power almost same as fotile. The design also nice especially with Bluetooth function.
*
LOL. Why you need a blutooth function on your hood ?
