Just got the following combination from JF Home USJ:

- Hood - Fotile EH10BQ
- Hob - Rinnai RB-3Si-C-S
- Oven - Rinnai RBO-7MSO

As I am not separating my wet and dry kitchen, I was looking for a good hood with strong suction that is not overly expensive. Fujioh hoods seem to get very good reviews, but it is out of my budget and frankly, looks quite ugly. After some contemplation, I decided to go with the popular choice here, hopefully it is a wise decision!

As for hob, I was quite impressed by the Rinnai inner flame series, but the higher end (read: Made in Japan) Schott Ceran glass ones are simply too expensive! When I was about to settle for a Fotile hob, I found out about this inner flame model from Rinnai which has a stainless steel top and cast iron support. Best of all the price is reasonable (me thinks). Decision made!

I am not really particular with ovens. To me, a basic European oven with bake/roast/grill functionality is good enough for our occasional use. The salesperson at JF initially introduced me a basic Fagor oven (6H-175-BX) which is made in Spain. However, after I've paid for it and came home, I did some research and found that Fagor Spain has actually declared bankruptcy protection end of last year! Despite reassurance from the salesperson, I was still quite worried with the after sales support and warranty issues. Fortunately, Mr. Ea from JF allows me to change to a different brand and model without paying extra! The new Rinnai oven is made in Italy, and supposedly has more features than the original Fagor model I've chosen, so I was very pleased with the change. Thumbs up to Mr. Ea for providing top notch service (and a great price)!

Now I just need to wait patiently for my renovation to complete, and then only I can give an honest user review
