QUOTE(chew_loong @ Jan 3 2014, 06:24 PM) 2014 Cuusoo Release. I guess most won't appreciate it until we know whats its all about. The designer is a GENIUS! I wonder if this could be MSRP benchmark for first wave 2014 sets? Have to do prioritization and budgeting already.http://www.bricksworld.com/store/pc/viewCa...316&viewAll=yes This post has been edited by chew_loong: Jan 3 2014, 08:33 PM |

I bought him a brickmaster by DK Publishing - Star Wars version...RM92.50 if I'm not mistaken... several models can be built up in that set... for me...seems worth.. can you guys recommend me any other set like that for Star Wars which worth for me to invest for my son, plez? p/s: went thru all the brickmaster set under DK but only 2 sets of star wars....and the other one not that attractive |

QUOTE(myhat @ Jan 3 2014, 08:46 PM) hi all.... Its very hard to recommend as the Star wars theme lineup is extremely long ...my son recently got so interested in LEGO...especially Star Wars... I bought him a brickmaster by DK Publishing - Star Wars version...RM92.50 if I'm not mistaken... several models can be built up in that set... for me...seems worth.. can you guys recommend me any other set like that for Star Wars which worth for me to invest for my son, plez? p/s: went thru all the brickmaster set under DK but only 2 sets of star wars....and the other one not that attractive http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?theme=Star%20Wars The idea behind Brickmaster Collection is to give you a sense of direction on where to start and the possibility offered by each theme. You need to identify with your son what he is interested in. For example, my nephew is into Star Wars too but he likes the sets with lots of Minifigs in them but on the other hand, he's not into army building. Sets like the Death Star and the current Ewok Village is what he likes. Not in MOCs (My Own Creations) where some like to rebuild and expand the display. Also if you like to have a reenactment of a particular scene in the Star Wars movie. I think LEGO Star Wars offers sets to build and expand. So I guess you'll need to decide on a theme/scene and build it from there. |

so far....
as I mentioned earlier, he's so interested in having the set due to the same set of bricks can build various models of ship/vehicle and can play good vs bad team.... not into buying one set which can only build one single vehicle and thats all... |

QUOTE(myhat @ Jan 3 2014, 09:04 PM) so far.... Its LEGO, there not one set that they have sold is limited build a single vehicle or layout. Meaning, its up to imagination and creativity to work with what pieces you have to come up with another design. Somewhat like what the Lego CREATOR line does, the 3-1 sets. Only difference is it has building instructions that comes with it. Similarly with Brickmaster.as I mentioned earlier, he's so interested in having the set due to the same set of bricks can build various models of ship/vehicle and can play good vs bad team.... not into buying one set which can only build one single vehicle and thats all... |

QUOTE(mchw08 @ Jan 3 2014, 04:41 PM) Ada discount ke? Worriz set especially. QUOTE(razor94 @ Jan 3 2014, 08:03 PM) I hope you are joking though. Either you are looking for waterfish or you are waterfish to somebody.QUOTE(myhat @ Jan 3 2014, 09:04 PM) so far.... Bricksmaster can build then dismantle and rebuild, plus get taxed exemption sounds attractive. But the parts counts and the price are not so right there. Plus it only builds mini models. I would suggest you go for some set like Clone Trooper Vs. Droideka Battle Pack or the coming battle pack and some space ship.as I mentioned earlier, he's so interested in having the set due to the same set of bricks can build various models of ship/vehicle and can play good vs bad team.... not into buying one set which can only build one single vehicle and thats all... What Chew Loong said is right, it depends on kids creativity to build with the limited pieces provided by some set. It's more challenging that way. Buying single set vehicle is all about learning the playability and install them into own creation. Which I think is fun. This post has been edited by ilfort: Jan 3 2014, 09:40 PM |
