Actually, it's more like using kids as an excuse. What's the term parents use. Oh yes.... "Educational Toys"! Builds character, expression of imagination, improves hand eye coordination and motor skills.

Its for the kids, not for you. Keep them away from your laptop/gadget and exposure to actually holding books and reading them.

Somehow the 2014 ver. looks better. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=60044-1

Newer city sets always always looks a bit better then previous. Some might disagree but that just me.

Technically it should be because piece count wise its 375 pieces compared to the older with 408 pieces. Thus price per piece, 2013 set has better value.

yea not for me, price per piece u compare, is not worth. we are just sharing thoughts so people can make the most out of their money spent. smile.gif semua naik some more don't want go for the set with more parts and cheaper 1 meh.

Yea looks better no doubt, but missing a police bike too, which is why people rather grab old version. Some more got 30 to 35% discount on old version. Some more got bike, economy ma. bike alone last time already RM20.

everyone is looking for the value that their money was spent on.

Use la brickset.com or brickpicker.com price comparison. US$ on Lego.com MSRP. That's how I normally benchmark the online reseller pricing. Cannot use eBay pricing also because inflated values.
