lego.com already solded out FB a couple of mths back. same story for amazon etc.

not everything is EOL yet. if you scared to lari ayam, try to buy the older ones first.

10197 Fire Brigade officially discontinued. RIP 31st Dec 2013. Of course production of the set would have stopped months before that... Having said that, you can still find it in the open market at decent prices... Don't think you can get it below RM700 anymore but RM800-900 would be a good price now me thinks.

With Modular Buildings, unless you have deep pockets my advice to you is don't look back! Buy what's available now and make this your starting point in your Modular Buildings collection.

My guess is 10211 Grand Emporium will be discontinued end of this year. So if you need to plan this will be my suggested list in order of priority:

10197 Fire Brigade (must buy in 1st half of 2014)
10211 Grand Emporium (must buy before 3rd quarter of 2014)
10218 Pet Shop (Preferably start shopping for it in last quarter of 2014)

Once you have the above you can take a breather and slowly buy the newer Modular Buildings one by one each year if you can tahan... lol!
It will reach Malaysia, don't worry about that part. Worry about the price only, at over 2k pieces this is Modular Buildings territory...

I am getting this set for sure, one set can complete an iconic Simpsons family collection already. 

Damn!! My 2014 shopping list suddenly got much longer! Initially quite safe with only the 10243 Parisian Restaurant in my list. Then heard about the new trains and now this!!

I just pick up my Palace Cinema 10235 today for Rm599 from Toywiz @ Toy Garden Sg.Wang.  Yup SRP is RM650.  BBT had stock of it 10% discount for members a couple months back.  20 sets went off very quickly so I missed it.

Also while I was there was a 10223 Kingdoms Joust (retiring/retired not sure).  Picked it up today as well for Rm499.  SRP was Rm600.

Continuing my quest for the retiring/retired exclusive sets.

What a crazy first Monday of the year 2014. First the Simpsons house, then Alby tease us with a photo of the Parisian Restaurant! 

I was checking the internet in the morning before starting work only to see the Simpsons house. Although it looks bland but as a modular fan I will definitely get it, provided the price is ok.

Then during lunch hour I saw Alby's post about the Parisian Restaurant  Without wasting time I PM him.  I hope he dun mind me PM him for the PR. His poison was too strong!

For those who asked bout the modular buildings, like everyone has said, quickly get the Fire Brigade as soon as possible. Then move on to Grand Emporium followed by Pet Shop and Town Hall.

Word of caution, once start you cannot stop buying modulars! an old photo I took last year after I received by Palace Cinema. Once I get the Parisian Restaurant I might retake all of them again.

If not mistaken,  saw a video where parts are filled by weight at the factory. That's why sometimes got extra parts.

This is cheap lo compared to tupperware, unless use recycled economy rice tubs that one cannot compare.

The trays are good for building and sorting.  Not storing.

I see ... Spares I use Rm5 DAISO cases too sorted by colors smaller pieces same using the sewing case.  I slot the IKEA trays onto the top left slot.

Those files are the instruction manuals of all my sets and a lego carton of seasonal polybags.  Rest I think can see.

Yah, 5 remotes in there from 4 Trains with power Functions and the 4x4 Crawler.  Actually only require 1 remote to control, just switch channels to control 4 trains x 2 other functions if connected to the IR receiver like lights etc.
