Anyone here using Sun Global batt for i9500 ? Just bought mine yesterday.

Please do, i do faced this issue with my S3 last time, at first it is 2 black lines, after a few days its all black and camera app crashed when changed to front camera.

I just bought it yesterday for RM85. Actually there are some seller selling cheaper but i prefer COD so i dont care much for RM10 difference, so today its the first full charge cycle, currently testing.

Im currently testing with my daily usage, will report back with screenshot later today.

Finish testing, dont have the time to snap a screenshot. But briefly this is how it performed. I pick the details from Android Battery Settings menu, of which all details are taken at 1% battery left.

100% -> 1% ( 9am - 5pm ) = 8 Hours marathon.

Usage :
- 3 Hours screen-on time
- 1 Hours 25 Min of Clash of Clans
- 30 Min of Whatsapp
- 15 Min of Facebook
- 15 Min Instagram
- 1 Hours 45 Min standby

As this is the first cycle for the battery, so cant deduce anything near to accurate, need at least 3 Full cycle for much better speculation. But first glance it does perform far more better than stock batt, whereby stock batt never get near that score at all.

That happens to me with stock samsung battery. Since using Sun Global battery, screen on time seems to be improved. I mean its obvious

Yours is i9505 am i right? Yours should have more longer battery life than mine i9500 as your chipset is much tweaked for battery endurance. Yes i can say battery life using Sun Global is much improved than stock.

My daily routine is kinda heavy Whatsapp/Email/SocialApp(Fb/Insta), without playing COC, i can easily get 12 Hrs battery life with 3.5Hrs - 4Hrs screen on time. IF i play COC in a cycle usually it will be mostly 2Hrs in game, of which i can get 8 Hrs battery life with almost 2 Hrs COC as i mentioned before. That is tremendous enough for me.

If my usage was like yours, i get 4Hrs++ screen on time. But COC resists me from that, usually 2Hrs++ for COC only, balance is Whatsapp/Fb.

I suggest you to take Sun Global for a test, it is worth a bucks. Yours is i9505 should have better battery life than mine.

Sun Global works for me, at least. Price is quite nice and how does it perform too is different than stock.

I see, does your phone still have warranty? If its not, just get it rooted and bake in CWM recovery, much better.

Try disable security update through WiFi, it works for me.

Look for it under Settings -> More -> Security -> Security Policy Updates

I would have use it as my daily driver if there is not much lag, too much bloatware too

My suggestion is " Uncharted Rom " stock based-custom rom. Pretty solid, rock stable.
No fancy mods, keeping it as close as stock but de-bloated as well asn some minor performance tweak.

Yup, Uncharted Rom is new release. But i can assure you it is rock solid. All maintain stock with minimum de-bloat.
Battery life is great, and its new release v1.1 gives the SystemUI like S5, except Settings.

Ive tested the rom myself for 2 days and it works flawlessly, no such FC's with stock look, minimum mods.
Omega rom, quite heavy mods being injected, and also quite many user report that it drains battery, thats why i avoid such rom with heavy mods.
Original S4 charger is 2Ampere. Using any charger that is less than that would'nt bring any harm, just that your charging time will gradually increased due to lower amperage.

My advice is, first wipe your system and flash Uncharted Rom v1, let it boot for first time, play around a bit, then reboot back to recovery and flash V1.1 Update package and all other add-ons.

And at the first boot, connect to WiFi just to activate your google accounts then when the First setup finished, disconnect Wifi/Data, open Play Store and disable auto update.

Im also tempted to grab tempered glass but hesitate about it bcoz it is fingerprint magnet. Im thinking of using tempered glass+matte sp, double together. But still thinking of it, using UAG case, tempered glass sure sangkut

It is advisable to always use the original cable, or say, certified quality cables.
I assume your phone is maintained stock (Non-rooted/Stock Kernel/Rom).

Try this first, disable Mobile Data, Wifi, and put the phone in Flight Mode, and plug in the charger, see if that makes any difference than before. If its not, check below.

1.) If that so, need to re-check first, the wall plug. Original S4 wall plug is rated 2A (damn fast charge), you're saying yours doing it slowly. Well it should'nt be. Then try to find any other wall plug that is rated below 2A, like 1.5A(Sony) or 1A(Old Samsung) and plug it to your phone, monitor the charging time based on your calculation, see if there is difference or not comparing when using your original charger (of which you said slow). If its the same then it could be your wall plug problems. But this rarely happen.

2.) The cables, ive tested before using Sony/Blackberry/Samsung/Japan-made cables, all is doing fine except that Blackberry cables. When i use the BB one, the cable will gets a bit warm during charging and that makes me uncomfortable, but i never monitor the charging time. Other cables are doing just fine, no such heat. What im trying to say is, find another good quality cables, avoid BB cables/colorful light cables, especially the cheap ones in the market.

3.) The famous one, that can spoil your charging time is the Android System itself. There are a lot of apps running in the background during screen-off, even when charging. But usually these regular apps doesnt interfere much with charging but sadly, it can. Explore your apps, try and check wether is there any apps that keep making your phone awake, preventing it to go to lower freq.

It also can be that your charging port is spoilt. But youre one lucky guy if its true but you still can use it.

Actually 0.3mm is quite thick to me.
