1. Can I claim ps4 warranty without official Sony or authorised retail game shop receipt?
2. Who shall I look to if the Sony Malaysia Staff reluctant to accept my warranty claim?

1.Is ur PS4 & ipad connected within same network?
2. Is ur PS4 PSN ID same with ur app PSN ID?

Check ur PS4 ->setting->[PlayStation® App Connection Settings]->Add device->input code into your ipad

I believe Sony Malaysia only accept those free warranty claim for SG set provided with the official invoice issued by the shop as listed in their website.

Terms and Conditions for Regional Warranty Services
PlayStation®3 (CECH-3006 series/CECH-3012 series/CECH-4006 series/CECH-4012 series/ CECH-4206 series/CECH-4212 series)
PlayStation®Vita (PCH-1006 series/PCH-1106 series/PCH-2006 series)
PlayStation®4 (CUH-1006 series)
(including original accessories supplied with the product) ("the Products")

Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Limited (“SCEH”) shall, subject to these Terms and Conditions for Regional Warranty Service, through its local service agents in the countries where the Regional Warranty Service applies (“the SCEH Service Agents”), provide warranty to the Product for any defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date of the Product. Any defective parts of or additional parts (eg. modchips or components not part of the original Product) found in the Product which are replaced / removed by the SCEH Service Agents in the course of repairing, if any, shall be the property of SCEH. Notwithstanding any repairs to the Product carried out by SCEH Service Agents, its original one (1) year warranty term shall not be extended on account of the repairs or otherwise.
Repair service under this Warranty will include the cost of labour, and all replacement parts required for the proper functioning of the Product.
The original purchase invoice must be presented for verification when any repair service is required.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY AND NO REPAIR SERVICE SHALL BE PROVIDED IF THE PRODUCT:
(a) IS USED WITH THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS NOT SOLD OR LICENSED BY SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NON-LICENSED GAME ENHANCEMENT DEVICES, ADAPTORS, POWER SUPPLY SOURCES, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND COUNTERFEIT OPTICAL DISCS) OR WHICH ARE OTHERWISE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE PRODUCT; (b) IS USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES (INCLUDING RENTAL) OR IS MODIFIED OR TAMPERED WITH IN ANY WAY, OR HAS BEEN REPAIRED BY ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON OR ENTITY; © IS DAMAGED BY ACTS OF GOD, MISUSE, ABUSE, NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT, WEAR AND TEAR, UNREASONABLE USE, OR BY OTHER CAUSES UNRELATED TO DEFECTIVE MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP; (d) HAS HAD THE SERIAL NUMBER ALTERED, DEFACED, TAMPERED WITH OR REMOVED. IT IS PRESUMED THAT THE PRODUCT IS ALTERED OR TAMPERED WITH IF THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY SEAL ON THE PRODUCT (NOT APPLICABLE TO PLAYSTATION®VITA) IS BROKEN IN ANY WAY OR EXTENT OR REMOVED; OR (e) IS USED IN ANY WAY THAT IS IN BREACH OF ANY SYSTEM SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENT.
This Warranty is only valid and applicable to official Products and in countries where the Products have been officially launched and are licensed by SCEH for sale and purchase, and PROVIDED THAT the packaging of the Product bears the Regional Warranty Notice.
Though no repair service is provided if the Product has been modified as provided in section 4 above, the SCEH Service Agents may at their sole discretion, provide repair services to the modified Product if the customer signs a letter prepared by the repair centre setting out the terms and conditions for repairing the modified Product, and given by the SCEH Service Agents to the customer upon the Product being taken in for repair service.
For Product supplied with built-in and/or external storage media (“the Storage Media”), data saved in the Storage Media is excluded from this Warranty. With respect to repair service for the Storage Media provided, it is solely the customer’s responsibility prior to repair service to backup any data he or she has stored in the Storage Media. The SCEH Service Agents shall not be responsible for any damage to or loss of any data stored in the memory sticks or HDD.
Should the Product require repair service, customer shall be responsible for and bear the cost of transporting the Product to one of the authorized Customer Service Centres of the SCEH Service Agents by hand. After the service is completed, the customer is also responsible for picking it up from the same location. The addresses and opening hours of the authorized Customer Service Centres can be found at: http://asia.playstation.com/regionalwarranty.
In fulfilling its warranty obligations under these Terms and Conditions, the SCEH Service Agents may, in their sole discretion, elect either to repair and restore the Product to such original configurations and specifications as designed and manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., or to replace the Product with a refurbished product which is equivalent in all material respects. In either case, the system software (or the refurbished replacement product) shall be upgraded to the latest version available. The customer is not entitled to request the retention or installation of the version of the system software existing as at prior to the date of the request for the repair service.
This Warranty cannot be exchanged for a Manufacturer's Limited Warranty (Tourist Warranty).
The Terms and Conditions for Warranty Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, whose Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising thereunder.
SCEH reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions for Regional Warranty Service or related repair services without prior notice.

Mine is camera bundle but so far only played playroom. It's fun but u will get bored if u play everyday sweat.gif

Currently dun have much games for ps camera, only just dance & playroom. But the face recognised login is kinda convenience for used it everyday. Besides, can use d voice command without need to have mic, but trust me, use ur controller faster than voice command doh.gif

My set is quiet so far. Try bring ur set to ur friend hse n run it side by side. If the diff is obvious then u might need to claim for warranty. Or may b just a defective fan tat make d noisy sound. hmm.gif

But the point will have expiry date... Every RM50 spent on Sony, you will earn 1 point and the point can be redeemed / offset for sony product

No. The free game need to claim during the period.

Yes. Ps4 support both wired (gigabit Ethernet LAN) & wifi ( ordinary but no dual band doh.gif )
