u can test your phone at Settings>About phones>Diagnostics, here u can do some basic test. For full test on every aspects, u need to go to the service menu *#*#7378423#*#*

on hardware specs Note3 is slightly better than Z1 (3GB RAM, higher CPU clock etc), worth or not depends on what u want, the most important is user experience.

I do remember some photographer use Z1 to take some undersea photos, but not recommended, on swimming pool is ok lah.

Seriously, about the bezel of Z2... I dont really see big different on the bezel size between Z1 & z2... the bezel is much bigger than the prev leaked photos, its thinner alright, but just a little bit, not that much different.

what android version u r using? kernel? ROM?

my ver. same as u also. I've tried to record with 1080p, just put it aside & let it recoding, after around 20mins I took it up, just a little bit warm, not hot at all, playing games is much hotter.
its recording at room temp btw.

I think u better try to reset the phone back to stock & try again. If same problem again, then it might be hardware problem.

edit: 24mins of recording, 2.96GB

well I do hope we get the goodies on Z2, but I dont think Sony will give us so soon, its one of the Z2's selling point after all. So I think they will give us few months later. Or just wait till someone ported them to z1 or other phones.

but maybe after z2 launch z1's price will drop?

so far yes, but future version (4.4 kitkat & so on) not sure since its not out yet.
rooting won't void the warranty, unless u root & OC until processor burn , unlock bootloader will void the warranty, but u can backup TA so its not really a problem.

Ori battery is the best no doubt, my 4 year-old SE vivaz's battery still work very well like new.
